James Dattilio is a 2025 1B/RHP/3B/OF with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Newnan, GA who attends Trinity Christian. High-waisted, younger frame with lots of room to mature and add strength. Showed lots of versatility and worked out at multiple positions. Primary first-baseman, showed good intent to his actions with solid fundamentals. Made strong throws across up to 80 mph. Also worked out in the infield, made all the plays and recorded throws up to 79 mph. Glove presentation was late and will need to develop some more quickness and range to stick on the dirt. Took reps in the outfield as well, deliberate and waiting back on it a tad but has solid arm strength up to 82 mph. Also pitched, uses a side step with a belt-high leg lift. Has a quicker arm from a shorter 3/4 arm slot. Up to 80 mph with the fastball and dropped in a softer curveball at 68 mph. Right-handed hitter, open stance and a low hand set. Works uphill and does a nice job of matching plane. Solid round and found multiple barrels to the middle and carried well to the pull side. Very consistent and under control. Versatile athlete with arm strength and the skills to improve as he adds strength. Great student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
