Grant Shepherd is a 2026 LHP/OF with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Pearland, TX who attends Pearland High School. Primary LHP with a lean athletic build with some present strength and plenty of physical projection remaining. Works downhill and inline well maintaining balance to the plate. Throws from a high 3/4 slot with a quick arm. Ball really jumps out of his hand and gets pretty good arm extension downhill. Fastball played firm and missed barrels working up to 85. Located his fastball well around the edges and could elevate it. Went to a curve with healthy 1-7 shape and good depth. Could drop it in with late bite and should continue to be a really good pitch. Change with subtle fading action that repeats arm speed well and sells it. Quality 3-pitch mix that projects for more. Creates steep angles and ball is hard to pick up. Also played outfield and was up to 88 from there. Moves well to the ball and works through it aggressively. Fields it cleanly out front and shuffles a bit before throwing. Good carry and accuracy behind his throws. Also ran a 7.08 sixty. Left handed hitter with a narrow upright base. Uses a medium sized leg lift and stride into contact with a strong hand load. Clean weight transfer and gets into his lower half well with a smooth lefty swing. Showed good rhythm in the box and big strength at impact. Ball carries off his bat and power projects going yard in BP. Excellent student. Named to the National South Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
