2024 PG Underclass All-American Games
James Jorgensen is a 2026 SS/RHP/OF with a 6-0 187 lb. frame from Dallas, TX who attends Jesuit College Prep. Features a physical/compact build with noticeable strength. In the OF, showed athletic actions. Aggressive approach to the baseball with quickness that doesn't break into reception creating good momentum. Fields it clean and out front and works to a quick release. Arm showed adv. strength/carry getting off downhill/accurate throws. In the INF, showed strong glovework. Hands display early and out front where they work into a soft/clean reception with a quick funnel/transfer. Arm showed easy effort strength across with accuracy from different slots/angles. At the plate, sits in a medium base and uses a simple forward move and smaller takeback of the hands. Swing showed looseness and easy bat speed. Delivers the barrel on a slight uphill path with some length. Produced hard FBs/LDs to the pullside and middle of the field. Multiple hard shots off the LF wall showing the impact. On the mound, shows a repeatable delivery. Belt high knee lift into a smaller drop in driveleg where he then works with pace down the mound and good direction. Arm gets into a medium circle out the glove and up to an over the top slot with adv. armspeed and decent extension. FB showed strong vert. up to 91 but worked more downhill. Mixed in a SL/CB that have distinct shapes and high spin. SL stayed firm with solid sweep in the low 70s and his CB had 12-6 shape with good depth. Strong shape to the CH as well in the upper 60s showing good combo of fade/depth. Named to Top Prospects List.
