2025 PG Jr. National Showcase
Samir Mohammed is a 2027 RHP/1B with a 6-5 240 lb. frame from Trinity, FL who attends Tampa Jesuit. Extra big and strong young build, stands out physically. Works from a staggered start on the first base side of the mound, some coil over the rubber, explosive down the mound, arm stroke is loose and easy. Fastball was up to 95 mph, works to both sides of the plate well with power sinking action at times. Slider was a good pitch with big sweeping depth, also threw a fading change up that was effective against left handed hitters. Three-pitch sinker/slider starter profile. Right handed hitter, loads his hands tight and deep, swings hard and has big bat speed and ability to impact the ball, power over hit. Plays first base when not on the mound and showed his arm strength well. Good student.
