Jaxson Wood is a 2026 SS/2B with a 5-9 165 lb. frame from Hoover, AL who attends Hoover. Smaller athletic build with some present strength and more to come. 6.40 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, has very quick feet with plenty of side to side twitch and range, has a feel for angles, quick and snatchy hands fielding, some arm strength and has a quick release to maximize it. Right handed hitter, sets up in a wide base, turns his lower half hard to drive his swing, active hand load, swings hard with plenty of hard contact for his size and more to come. Good student. Verbal commitment to Tennessee. Selected to play in the 2025 Perfect Game All-American Classic.
