2024 Sunshine Northeast Showcase (Tues-Wed)
Benjamin Faigin is a 2027 OF/LHP with a 6-0 165 lb. frame from Monroe, NJ who attends Monroe Twp. Lean, athletic build with long levers and plenty of projection remaining. Primary outfielder, works through the baseball at a deliberate pace. Separates into a shorter arm path and attempts to pull down into release. Has intriguing arm speed for his age. Delivered accurate throws while recording arm strength up to 85 mph. Secondary left-handed pitcher, worked primarily from the stretch and remained balanced over the rubber. Releases the baseball from an over-the-top slot. Worked down the mound well and repeated his operation effectively. Fastball got up to 85 mph, filling up the strike zone while inducing weak contact from opposing hitters. Curveball had some depth to it with occasional two-plane break. Projects for an uptick in velocity as he continues to add strength to his frame. Left-handed hitter, starts in a slightly open stance with a high back elbow and compact hand set-up. Has some present bat speed and strength in the hands along with the ability to work the entire diamond. Can get out on the front foot early at times. Generates easy carry at impact and can work both gaps. Posted an exit velocity of 80 mph. Ran a 7.35 sixty-yard dash. Excellent student. Named to the 2024 Sunshine Northeast Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
