John Mark Grissom is a 2025 2B/RHP/SS with a 5-9 168 lb. frame from Pearl, MS who attends Pearl. Compact build with good well proportioned strength. 7.12 runner in the sixty, plays faster than that with a quick first step defensively and on the bases. Primary second baseman on defense, has quick hands fielding the ball, works through it well with active feet, gets under the ball well, plenty of arm strength for second base. Right handed hitter, creates good bat speed with his upper body strength, dominant top hand at the ball, gets some jump and top spin off the barrel, can get into his strong lower half better for more bat speed. Solid overall player with skills and strength. Good student. Named to the Fall Academic Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
