2025 PG National Showcase
RJ Cope is a 2026 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-8 245 lb. frame from Lawrenceville, GA who attends Georgia Premier Academy. Extra big and tall build with very long arms and legs. Works from a full hands above head delivery and a high leg raise start, well controlled delivery that shows his athleticism well. Fastball was in the low 90's and topped out at 94 mph, worked it to both sides of the plate. Slider was a very good pitch, got swing and miss and located it very well, big improvement in every aspect of his breaking ball. Flashed a change up that can be further developed. Left handed hitter, sets up in a wide base and a slight crouch, toe tap load, has some rhythm to his load, loud middle of the field when he's on time. Very good student with a verbal commitment to Vanderbilt. Selected to play in the 2025 Perfect Game All-American Classic.
