2025 PG Sophomore National Showcase (2028 Grads)
Jacob Gray is a 2028 SS/2B with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Benicia, CA who attends De La Salle. Medium athletic build with some present strength and room for more. 6.95 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, has good bounce to his step and works low through the ball, clean funnel out front, good tempo and balance in his footwork, has a quick release from a high 3/4's slot, developing raw tools but pretty polished skills. Right handed hitter, sets up in a balanced stance with some knee flex into his swing, deep still hand start, has solid present bat speed with hard up the middle contact, swing really projects well if he continues to get stronger. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
