Scott Harper is a 2020 RHP/OF with a 6-1 178 lb. frame from Channahon, IL who attends Minooka Community. Medium frame with long limbs and a slender build. Ran a 7.01 second 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher with a side step delivery into a leg lift slightly above the belt. Easy and smooth mechanics with repeatability. Works through a low three-quarter release. Whippy arm action that creates some deception. Changes eye levels well. Fastball shows some consistent arm side run and topping out at 83 MPH. Very sharp breaking slider with lateral depth late through the zone. Righthanded hitter with a slightly open and narrow stance. Short linear shifts into contact. Gets the barrel head out and around and works mostly to the pull side. Good student as well. Named to the 2019 Great Lakes Prospect Top Prospect List.
