Jason Amalbert is a 2026 SS/RHP/IF with a 6-1 185 lb. frame from East Hanover, NJ who attends Depaul Catholic. Square shouldered athletic build with good present strength and more to come. Outstanding runner, ran a 1.47 10 yard and 3.62 30 yard sprint. Primary shortstop on defense. has all the tools to be a high level defender, big raw arm strength and makes accurate throws, moves very well and throws on the run with balance and easy, hands are soft and confident. Also worked out as an outfielder and showed the same tools and actions, was light on his feet with obvious athleticism. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with a low leg raise trigger, swings hard and has some lift in his swing, easy bat speed, hard contact to all fields. Took a turn on the mound, has a coiled high leg raise delivery with a long and fast arm action to a high 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 90 mph and was throw for strikes. Threw a hard slider with tight late biting action as his breaking ball and threw it to spots. Change up was a quality pitch he used with confidence and threw for strikes. Big two-way potential at the college level. Named to the PG New York Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
