Luis Mejia is a 2026 SS/RHP/2B with a 5-11 176 lb. frame from Phoenix, AZ who attends St. Mary's. Lean athletic build with some present strength and room for plenty more. Left handed hitter, sets up in a narrow and open stance with a simple shift into contact, well timed swing with some lift through the zone, very little wasted movement, has feel for the barrel and works it gap to gap, advanced overall hitting mechanics that project well. 7.14 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop on defense, has fluid athletic action to the ball, moves well laterally, compact arm action from a lower slot has some carry, made accurate throws. Nice balance of tools and skills that will continue to improve. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
