Ethan Gilchrist is a 2027 SS/RHP with a 5-11 155 lb. frame from Raleigh, NC who attends Crossroads Flex. A medium build and taller frame. Ran a 6.93 60-yard dash. Primary middle infielder who worked out as an infielder throwing 82 mph across the diamond. He showed off some strength in the build and the arm strength across during his round of throws. He created good whip on his arm stroke, working from a three-quarters arm slot. His footwork showed off the right actions, getting into position well and adjusting slots on a slow-roller well. He's a right-handed hitter who uses a smaller leg lift trigger to get on time. He creates some good whip to the barrel and showed off strong wrists with his swing being able to impact it well and show off great impact. He stays balanced well and has quick hands through the zone with good intent during his round of BP swings. Produced an 86 mph exit velocity during PG Tech testing. Also took to the mound as a right-handed pitcher with a taller frame, throwing from a higher three-quarters slot. He sidesteps into a leg lift up above the belt, whipping the arm thru release from a higher longer arm slot. The fastball has an arm-side run with sink to it, working up to 86 mph while holding the mid-80s. He showed a curveball in the low-70s with 12-6 shape to it with good depth. He was able to land the breaker for strikes. Showed a changeup in the arsenal in the mix, working the upper-70s with good depth being able to locate it well arm-side. He threw 3.0 innings with 4 strikeouts, allowing 4 hits. Great student.
