Garrett Wood is a 2026 C/1B with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Trumbull, CT who attends Trumbull. Physical, well defined frame with proportional strength to both halves. Ran a 7.41 in the sixty. Primary catcher with slight side saddle, quick transfer behind the plate and popped a 2.14 in drills. Solid accuracy to the bag. Higher slot to the arm with intent behind it. Right-handed hitter, wider stance and high hand set. Gets the ball in the air consistently. Good bat speed and strength. Gets into lower half and worked the barrel to all fields with a sound approach. Strength and jump off the barrel, can really impact the baseball. Good student.
