Ty Turkowski is a 2024 RHP with a 6-4 210 lb. frame from Jeannette, PA who attends Pittsburgh Central Catholic. Extra-large, long limbed frame with square shoulder and a lean build, room to fill throughout moving forward. Good athlete, posted a 6.85 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, deliberate pace to delivery, stays balanced over the rubber well, arm works well coming through the backside with a compact path getting to a three-quarters slot. Fastball topped out at 82 mph, creates lot of running life to the arm side and shows comfort getting it in on the hands of righties. Pitched to contact, slider was go-to secondary, short life and will continue to develop; flashed a changeup at 72 mph as well, tools to improve upon moving forward. Takes a quick first step in the outfield, fields the ball out front with some bend at waist, works across body at release, similar compact arm action, can refine lower half mechanics in release, shows present arm strength on throws. Right-handed hitter, begins with an open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate, hands away from head start of swing. Evens out lower half moving into contact, longer path through the zone, best working on a linear path, will gets downward at times, shows bat speed through the zone, shows some jump off of the barrel when squared. Very good student. Named to the Pitt Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
