2024 New York Indoor Showcase (Sunday)
Jacob Bouvin is a 2026 C/1B with a 5-9 175 lb. frame from Greenlawn, NY who attends Harborfields. Bouvin works from a medium sturdy build with evident strength proportioned throughout. Exclusively from his C spot, displayed a wider slight side saddle set to start with clear jump out of the crouch. He repeated a compact arm action well with coordinated footwork to release quickly and accurately around the bag, posting a 2.07 pop time. Consistently worked an in-line transfer with ground gained toward 2B. Expect arm strength to continue developing with age. Offensively, the righty started from an even balanced base with a high hand set present. He fired the hands directly through the zone and stayed inside the baseball creating hard line drive impact back up the middle with backspin. He flashed good bat speed through the zone and simplified the movements throughout the stroke. Potential for more power in the future. Posted an exit velo of 77 mph.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
