John Genco is a 2025 3B/RHP/MIF with a 5-10 185 lb. frame from Woodbridge, ON who attends Holy Cross Academy. Medium, square shouldered frame with present physical strength proportioned throughout. Ran a 7.58 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, plays with energy in actions, works through the ball well once underway, extra step with effort into throws but solid arm strength across the diamond with carry on to first base, shows ability to change slots on throws, arm plays on the left side of diamond. Also pitched, hybrid delivery on the mound with a coiled leg lift into balance point; loose three-quarters release point and did a nice job of working around the zone. Fastball topped out at 80 mph, shows cutting action and able to work to both sides of the plate effectively. Two plane shape to slurve, lateral life with some bite and repeats well in delivery/release. Switch-hitter, works into legs well in swing, shows present hand speed with a longer path through the zone, ball comes off the barrel well when squared; similar swing path from the right side, strength continued to play and has tools to improve upon. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
