Declan Gonge is a 2027 C/3B/1B with a 5-10 195 lb. frame from Lincoln, CA who attends Whitney. Thick, athletic frame with a sturdy lower half. Behind the plate, he sets up in square crouch with good transfers into a from ear release. Comes out well and was accurate to the base. Flashing some carry to the throws. 2.00 pop time. In the infield, he shows average lateral movements with decent feel for the leather. Medium length stroke produced accurate throws. Right-handed hitter, wide base, high back elbow, and low hand set. Medium leg lift into the launch with average bat speed. Level plane through impact but getting stuck on the backside some. Middle of the field line drive oriented approach. Found some hard gap contact. On the mound, its a full windup with medium length stroke to a high release. Works quick and is around the zone with the two pitch mix. 7.60 60-yard. Great Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
