Nick Ruder is a 2026 OF/RHP with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Carlsbad, CA who attends Cathedral Catholic. Medium size athletic frame. Ran a 6.69 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder with a quick first step and speed to cover ground in the outfield. Shows all around fundamentals in the outfield with a developing ability to work through the baseball on the ground and transition to throw. Showed an average throwing arm with accuracy to bases. Arm strength will play up as he learns to carry momentum through the baseball to throw. Hit from a slightly open stance with load stride timing and a direct hand path to the baseball. Consistent and repeatable movements in the swing working behind the baseball with a level bat path to hit line drives to all fields. Took a polished round of BP showing present and developing bat speed and a real ability to control the barrel. Was up to 81 one the mound and showed an 11-5 shape curve out of a high three-quarter slot. Projectable all around athlete.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
