Juan Pablo Altamirano is a 2027 RHP/3B/1B with a 5-11 210 lb. frame from Queen Creek, AZ who attends American Leadership Academy. Compact strong build. Works from a coiled leg raise delivery with a high 3/4's arm slot, gets into his strong lower half well coming down the mound. Fastball topped out 92 mph with hard sink and bore at times. Tends to slow his arm on his curveball, creates good spin but can add plenty of power. Split finger change showed tumble and nice potential when he was on top of it. Right handed hitter, sets up in a straight medium stance with a knee lift trigger, has a short down hill swing path with some strength off the barrel. 7.15 runner in the sixty. Worked out as a corner infielder and was much more comfortable in his footwork and actions at first base. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
