2025 PG Fall Top Prospect National Showcase
Alessio Casasanta is a 2027 OF/RHP with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Aurora, ON who attends St Maximilian Kolbe HS. Started the event off clocking a 7.07 60-yard dash. A primary outfielder, secondary pitcher. In the OF, showed fundamental actions. Worked to a clean and out front reception. Shows slight regather and reshuffle of feet before throws. Used a longer arm action that worked to an over the top slot that got off strong downhill and accurate throws to the bag (90 mph). At the plate, showed a simple stroke with minimal wasted movments but noticeable aggressive intent. Uses a toe tap trigger as the hands load the barrel into a flatter launch. He then works the barrel on a level path through the zone with flashes of above average bat/hand speed. Balanced through the swing where he produced hard pull side line drives and fly balls. On the mound, it's a higher effort operation down the mound but with quickness to the arm that works to a 3/4 slot. Present athleticism in the delivery. Ran the fastball up to 85 mph, that showed normal shape and he pounded zone with it. Mixed in a quality curvebqall that showed sharpness and late biting action and depth. Named to Top Prospects List. Good student.
