2025 PG Puerto Rico National Showcase Qualifier
Emanuel Hernandez is a 2026 C/SS with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Ponce, PR who attends Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy. Solid athletic build with some present strength and room for plenty more. 7.09 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense who also has tools and potential at third base. Sets up one knee down behind the plate, game actions in drills, gains ground well, received the ball cleanly, accurate throws with some zip on them. Has good fundamentals in the infield with good actions to his left and lots of carry on his throws. Switch-hitter, starts from a slightly open start from both sides with a hanging leg raise trigger, easy and loose swing, looking to turn the barrel and pull the ball, less hang and more direct from the right side but has bat speed from both sides, shows his strength at the plate. Good student. Named to the PG Puerto Rice National Qualifier Showcase Top Prospect List.
