Carter Epting is a 2027 OF/LHP/1B with a 5-9 140 lb. frame from South Colonie, NY who attends Colonie Central. Epting works from a young lean build with additional time to fill out and add strength as a '27 grad. From the OF, he displayed good buildup footwork and successfully remained on top of throws, ultimately topping out at 77 mph. He showed young arm speed through release and repeated the mechanics well to produce accurate throws. At 1B, Epting displayed quick clean transfers with natural actions to again touch 77 mph. On the mound, he displayed a controlled calculated windup and effectively dictated the pace of play, pounding the zone with a compact easy arm action. There's developing spin profile in the arsenal with plenty of velocity projection remaining. At the plate, the lefty started from a slightly open stance with a compact hand set and high back elbow, utilizing a toe tap trigger to produce consistent contact to the pull side of the field. He created carry when timed up, posting an exit velo of 75 mph. Ran a 7.65 sixty yard dash. Great student. Named to Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
