Deacon Carpenter is a 2028 3B/RHP/1B with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Sulphur Springs, TX who attends Sulphur Springs. Slender well proportioned athletic build with good present strength for his age and size. Left handed hitter, sets up in a narrow and open stance with a hanging leg lift trigger, gets his foot down on time and turns his hips hard, very efficient sequencing, has fast hands and creates separation through contact, hit tool really stands out with big projection as he gets stronger. 7.07 runner in the sixty. Primary third baseman on defense, two hands out front, developing feet, works to backhand well, higher slot, accurate throws, corner actions at present, good charge. Outfield, athletic actions with good arm strength showing, works through it well, quicker and quiet feet. Right-handed pitcher, good mover, balanced and rhythmic delivery with efficient energy transfers up the chain, loose arm and quick shoulder, sharp downer curveball, slider in the mix with later teeth, full arm swing, some sink and heaviness to the heater.
