Ayden McGinnis is a 2027 LHP/1B/OF with a 6-1 168 lb. frame from Phoenix, AZ who attends Sunrise Mountain. A taller frame with a lean build, showing some athleticism. Ran a 7.37 60-yard dash. Primary left-handed pitcher who worked out of the stretch during his outing with a leg lift up above the belt, extending well down the slope. He threw from a three-quarters slot with a shorter arm action and some arm speed. The fastball played up to 82 mph, and some run when thrown to the arm-side portion of the zone. He also mixed in a changeup with some depth to the pitch, showing it against right-handed hitters during his outing. He also showed a low-70s sweeper that was high-spin up to 2,440 RPMs. He was able to land the slider the strikes as part of his three-pitch mix. He threw 3.0 innings without allowing a hit, striking out 4 opposing hitters. He's a left-handed hitter with a very wide base, hands set high, and a back elbow up in his stance. He showed some bat speed and was able to get his hips involved as part of the swing. He did a good job creating space and rotating through contact. Showed good bat speed with lots of lift working to the pull side. Put together a really good round of swings during BP. He worked out as a first basemen with strength on his throws across the field. He showed a shorter and quicker arm stroke with good arm strength at 84 mph. He fielded it well with two hands and moved well off the bag. He worked out as an outfielder with a long and lean body as he worked into throws. He presents the glove well, and the arm worked. He had a loose arm action with a lower slot. Threw 82 mph from the outfield. Shorter and choppy steps working into it and then letting the throws go with good accuracy.
