Lawton showed great arm strength across the diamond throughout the round of infield, running throws up to 81 mph. Has smoothness to the hands as well. He controls the barrel nicely in the swing and also performed well on the mound, getting into the upper-70s with a solid breaking ball.
Strong showing across the board this weekend from Nostrum. Has been a consistent performer on the tournament circuit this spring and showed off the tools here in a closer look, posting metrics well above average for his class. Clean left-handed swing with good actions up the middle with arm strength in the outfield.
Has made a huge jump since we first saw him at a showcase last year, more lean muscle has been added to the frame while growing a few inches too. Arm strength has improved with good feel to receive behind the dish, all fields approach in the box with a good handle of the barrel and performed in game.
Well rounded athlete that tested well across the board, good runner with present athleticism and arm strength that showed across all three defensive drills he participated in. Solid bat to ball skills as well, projectable frame and has hit & pitch extremely well on the spring circuit up to this point as well.
Strong bodied corner infield type with present strength in both halves of the frame and an efficient left-handed stroke with easy power. Hitting well on the circuit this year and has pitched really well too, up to 80-mph on the bump with two off-speed pitches in the arsenal.
Cannon showed a ton of things to like and project on throughout the weekend. He's a strong player with serious whip to the barrel and impacts to the gaps nicely. He also ran the fastball up to 81 mph on the mound with feel for two breaking balls.
Kane showed well in multiple phases throughout the weekend. The primary left-handed pitcher ran the fastball into the mid-70s with a solid breaking ball that he mixed in. He also had multiple barrels, including a triple and a double while playing good defense in the outfield.
Extremely impressive weekend from the '29 grad, who shined across all drills. Very gamelike and controlled round of infield with ability to change slots and make plays on the move, consistent barreled up contact in the box with a level path to work it gap to gap. Runs well too, good prospect to keep an eye on moving forward.
