2011 Top Prospects

Ryan Keller  RHP - 2011 - Castaic, CA
San Diego

A highest-level pitching prospect, Keller is verbally committed to San Diego. He shows an advanced feel for pitching and touched 90 with his fastball, while complimenting it with a tight late-breaking slider.

Erik VanMeetren  C - 2011 - Henderson, NV
UNLV

A very projectable athlete at 6'5", 215 lb, Erik has been one of the key players for powerhouse Bishop Gorman HS in recent years. He shows big raw power potential at the plate as evidenced by his five homeruns in one high school game. His arm strength behind the plate is also another top tool in his game.

Christopher Bonk  RHP - 2011 - Fort Collins, CO
Hofstra

A very projectable RHP at 6'4", 195 lb, Bonk flashed a quality three-pitch mix on the mound. His fastball touched 87 with outstanding armside run, while he also flashed a tight 10-4 curveball and a quality changeup.


2012 Top Prospects

Tanner Rahier  SS - 2012 - Indian Wells, CA
San Diego

An elite athlete, Rahier has the ability to be of the top players in the country both on the mound and in the infield. Rahier flashed 6.63 sixty speed and showed outstanding hitting tools. On the mound, Rahier touched 90 with his very live fastball.

Kieran Lovegrove  RHP - 2012 - Mission Viejo, CA
Arizona State

An elite pitching prospect, Lovegrove is verbally committed to Arizona State and is one of the most projectable prospects in the country. He has a live arm and a clean and easy delivery that produced a nice four-pitch mix. His live fastball touched 91, while his 11-5 curveball and changeup both have the making of quality pitches.

Ron Miller  3B - 2012 - Los Angeles, CA
UNLV/College of Southern Idaho

Power is the name of the game for Miller, whose bat speed and strength rank right near the top of his class. While Miller's offensive tools are obvious, he also has a chance to be a quality defender at third base with a strong arm and soft hands.

Ruben (RJ) Ybarra  C - 2012 - Riverside, CA
Arizona State

Ybarra has been a known commodity for several years on the recruiting trail and it is easy to see why. Offensively he has serious strength in his swing and should hit for plenty of power, while his arm strength behind the plate is also elite.

Niklas Stephenson  RHP - 2012 - Del Mar, CA
Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College

Arm strength is the top tools in Stephenson arsenal of tools as he showed a plus arm behind the plate and touched 88 on the mound. Offensively, Stephenson has good raw tools to work with at the plate and will only improve with time.

Timothy Lopes  MIF - 2012 - Huntington Beach, CA
UC Irvine

Lopes has elite MIF tools highlighted by his smooth actions and easy arm. Offensively Lopes has a polished hitting approach and shows quick hands and good bat speed.


2013 Top Prospects

David Denson  1B - 2013 - La Puente, CA
Hawaii

A talented two-way prospect, Denson shows an advanced hitting approach with good raw power potential. On the mound his arm works well and he touched 86 with his fastball with making of a quality changeup.
