2021 Top Prospects

Luke Hammond  3B - 2021 - Cincinnati, OH
Arizona State

Hammond is a terrific athlete with an uber-projectable frame and two sport upside. He's a quality defender at shortstop with potential to be a standout defender at third base should he gain strength and the swing is loose, fast and posited numerous in game line drives and long fly balls.

Jack Markham  RHP - 2021 - Aguadilla, PR
U.S. Coast Guard Academy

Markham was excellent during his time on the mound as he's got long limbs, a high waist, and a fastball that peaks at 88 mph. He relied on his fastball often, held velocity, and mixed in a true swing-and-miss breaking ball in the low-70s with quality spin.

Mateo Zeppieri  OF - 2021 - Newmarket, ON CAN
Uncommitted

Zeppieri certainly looks the part of a top prospect with a physical build, athletic profile, and impressive offensive tools. He ran a 6.80 second 60-yard dash along with an 84 mph arm from the outfield but the offensive upside is vast given his bat speed, strength, and power potential.

Richie Belcher  OF - 2021 - Fort Myers, FL
Montevallo

Belcher is a physical prospect with a very rare combination of strength and athleticism. He threw 92 mph from the outfield, that arm also allows for two-way potential, and massive power from the right side with a 96 mph exit velocity.

Makai Johnson  SS - 2021 - Newberry, FL
Uncommitted

Johnson does a little bit of everything well on the diamond showing surehanded actions over at shortstop while impacting the ball consistently. He can run too with a 6.8 second 60-yard dash with an offensive profile that fits near the top of a lineup given the consistency.

Janiel A Hernandez  LHP - 2021 - Aguadilla, PR
Uncommitted

Hernandez is an athletic southpaw with a controlled, deliberate delivery and a fastball that worked up to 87 mph. He settled right in the low-80s and showed good glove side command as he mixed in a slider as well.

Brode Susce  RHP - 2021 - Homewood, AL
Uncommitted

Susce is a physical righthander with a solid 6-foot-3 frame along with a very strong two pitch mix. He's got legitimate swing-and-miss stuff with a fastball that worked up to 88 mph with good life along with a power slider in the upper-70s that projects as his out pitch.

Ozzie Martinez  OF - 2021 - Miami, FL
Miami-Dade College

Martinez has big time tools that showed out well during drills as he turned in a 7.0 second 60-yard dash and threw 90 mph from the outfield. The arm strength plays, on the mound too with some two-way potential, and there's strength in the bat with some power to pull.

Steele Jackson  OF - 2021 - Hamilton, IN
Pasco-Hernando CC

Jackson made the trek down from Indiana to compete and showed off a well-rounded skill set with some massive power upside. He ran a sub-7.00 second 60-yard dash with a good arm from the outfield but the power he showed in batting practice and during the coach pitch games leave a lot to like.

Griffin Collins  OF - 2021 - Rising Fawn, GA
Motlow State CC

Collins has some impressive tools as he turned in a 6.8 second 60-yard dash time and showed a very good arm recorded up to 86 mph from the outfield. He's got a very simple stroke from the left side who uses the whole field and has a patient approach.

Beau Sanders  LHP - 2021 - Pace, FL
Uncommitted

Sanders is an intriguing lefthander out of Florida who ran his fastball up to 84 mph and showed a quality secondary pitch in his slider. He competes within the zone and isn't afraid to run his fastball inside while the slider functions as his out pitch; there's some two-way upside given the strength in his bat.

Juan Tolentino  SS - 2021 - Peabody, MA
Uncommitted

Tolentino traveled down from Massachusetts and showed a projectable shortstop starter kit. He's a lean, athletic shortstop with soft hands and left side arm strength while he's got a loose swing with quick hands and projects well.

Cameron Trego  OF - 2021 - Coatesville, PA
Uncommitted

Trego is an athletic outfielder who turned in a 60-yard dash time of 6.84 seconds. What really stands out offensively is his easy swing as it's mechanically sound with good torque and present power given the loft of the stroke.

Ryan White  3B - 2021 - Orange, CA
Uncommitted

White made the trip out from Southern California and he's got a lot to like in terms of prospect status. He's a strong kid who ran a sub-7.00 second 60 yard dash time and projects to be a power hitting third baseman at the next level given the arm strength and power upside.
