78-Gray vs. 79-Purple

Luke Ostien (2021 LHP, Rosemount, MN) stayed short and simple in the box and sprayed the baseball around the park. Strong hands and proved to have advanced bat on ball skills. Later in the game, he singled to the opposite field while knocking in a run. He also singled back up the middle, showcased he has some table setter type abilities. 

Blake Brumfield (2021 3B, Cambridge, OH) showed a clean linear swing path in the box as he impacted out front with authority. Hit a hard ground ball to the pull-side and was robbed of a hit. 

Elijah Reeves (2021 OF, Casper, WY) showed off his athleticism as he cruised around the base paths. Also flashed confidence in the box as he singled early in the contest. Does a good job keeping the bat head long through the zone. He got extended on an inner half pitch and doubled off the leftfield wall late in the contest. 

Kalil Folch (2021 OF, Ocoee, FL) utilized a simple approach as he stayed short to the baseball. Drove one back up the middle for a hard hit single early in the contest. He also doubled down the leftfield line as well later in the day. 

Jeffrey Gutierrez (2021 SS, Bronx, NY) came up clutch as he singled the other way while knocking in a run. Proved he could spray it around and hits the baseball where it is pitched. 

Frank Perez (2021 OF, Tampa, FL) tallied multiple hits on the day as he drove it around the field. Free and easy hands as he generates whip through the zone. Singled in four of his five at-bats. 

Anthony Matteis (2021 C, Manalapan, NJ) has plenty of strength in the build and that translated into the box. Tallied two loud singles to his name early in the day. Projects some power as well down the road. Was robbed of extra-base hits too as he smoked one deep to leftfield that was eventually caught. 

Ayric Robinson (2021 OF, Meridian, ID) swings it with heavy hands as he generates easy thump in the bat. Smoked a line drive to the rightfielder that would of been an extra-base hit had it not been caught. 

Richard Bonomolo Jr (2021 OF, Bronx, NY) created some loud contact as he doubled to the pull-side during the contest. Proved to have some speed on the paths as well as he turned a hit into a hustle double. Flew out to deep left-centerfield as well on a ball that carried a long way. 

Seth Shannon (2021 C, Woodford, VA) flashed big time juice in the bat as he hit a towering fly ball into the wind to the pull-side that was caught. Projects power down the road as the strength in the build is already showing. He caught a break in a later at-bat as he doubled into the left-centerfield gap. 

Camden Porter (2021 SS, Peoria, IL) put a charge into one late as he banged one off the leftfield wall while knocking a run in. Does a good job staying inside the baseball and gets extended. Some power in the bat starting to show. He later did the same thing with another double off the wall. 

William Cruz (2021 1B, Miami, FL) proved to have some fast twitch muscle as he ran well and swung it with some feel for the bat head. Doubled deep into the left-center gap. Grinded on the base paths as he generated runs with his feet. 

Beau Sanders (2021 LHP, Pace, FL) put his big, physical frame to work as he smoked the baseball. Doubled deep into the left-center field gap and ran well on the paths. Power already showing with big thump in the bat. 

 


80-Red vs 82-White Game Highlights

Steele Jackson (2021 OF, Hamilton, IN) is a tightly wound and athletic outfield prospect who put his pure strength on display with hard contact throughout his at-bats, including a long homerun to the pull side in his first at-bat of the day.

Richie Belcher (2021 OF, Fort Myers, FL) has a number of impact tools like arm strength that plays from both the outfield and on the mound, but he put his other tools on display like his strength to drive a ball well over the head of the center-fielder and his speed to take third with relative ease.

Cameron Trego (2021 OF, Coatesville, PA) is a well-built and projectable left-handed hitting outfielder who impressed offensively with a real short and quick swing that allowed him to find the barrel well in multiple at-bats today, picking up four hits in as many at-bats. 

Connor Camp-Smith (2021 1B, Lexington, SC) is a big, physical right-handed hitter who has a longer swing but has plenty of strength behind it that allows him to have success when driving the ball in the air to either gap. 

Ryan White (2021 3B, Orange, CA) looks the part of a solid prospect on both sides of the ball and has tools to match with sound hands and a strong arm across from the left side of the infield and a quick/strong swing that impacts the ball well on a line when squared.

Jean Carlos Colon (2021 C, Coamo, PR) is a strong right-handed hitting catcher who really impresses with the bat as he finds the barrel at a consistent rate and impacts it with authority. He both runs well and has some arm strength that could play from a couple positions. 

Kristian Arnosa (2021 1B, Miami, FL) picked up three hits in game action today, finding the barrel at a good rate and showing some jump to the middle of the field as he got the bat head out front of the plate well. 


Batting Practice Highlights

12/30/2020

Matt Perez (2021 OF, West Palm Beach, FL) displayed a simple controlled approach from the left side with a good weight shift into contact and the ability to consistently impact the baseball out front. His good use of the lower half and feel for the barrel combine for a polished swing. 

Luke Hammond (2021 3B, Cincinnati, OH) put together a solid round of batting practice working the baseball well from gap to gap with some jump off the barrel. His right-handed swing starts slightly open as he does a nice job getting the foot down on time and getting extended through the baseball. 

Anthony Failla (2021 OF, Sebastian, FL) does a nice job using his leg lift trigger to create rhythm and timing to his swing. The barrel works through the zone with flatter bat path a she produces some power to the pull side with a right-handed swing that shows plenty of intent. 

Cameron Trego (2021 OF, Coatesville, PA) employees a simple approach from the left side of the plate starting with the bat on his shoulder and taking a short stride into contact. He does a nice job getting the bat head out front with an easy swing path and strength to the middle of the field.

Zach Headdy (2021 3B, Hamilton, OH) starts with a slightly open stance from the right side with a swing path that shows some loft through the hitting zone as he looks to lift the baseball as he showed some jump off the barrel to the pull side gap. 

Elijah Reeves (2021 OF, Casper, WY) showed good feel for the barrel from the right side of the plate. His right-handed swing works well on plane though the pitch as he looks to work back up the middle to the pull side. 

Richard Bonomolo Jr (2021 OF, Bronx, NY) displayed a simple all fields approach with good feel for the barrel. He does a nice job getting on time and getting the barrel head out front as he shifts into contact well and drives the baseball on a line. 

Grant Nokes (2021 C, North Venice, FL) showed good strength at the point of contact as he displayed some power to the middle of the field to the pull side. His ability to work on plane up through the baseball allows him to create lift and carry on the baseball. 

Brandt Cook (2021 OF, New Cumberland, PA) starts with a wide base form the left side of the plate. He flashed good bat speed though the zone that projects well with some lift to the bat path. 

Ryan Henry (2021 1B, Villa Rica, GA) brings a physical presence to the right-handed batters box. He showed good barrel feel and flashes of bat speed as he worked on a line from gap to gap with strength in the hands at the point of contact. 


77-Gold vs. 81-Royal

Weston Dean (2021 MIF, Montgomery, TX) utilized a short, simple swing. Doubled down the rightfield line and cruised into second. Strength in the hands present with feel for the barrel. He later singled the other way and singled to the pull-side. Loud contact in every at-bat he had. 

Ozzie Martinez (2021 OF, Miami, FL) did a good job of transferring weight into the baseball as he proved he could create leverage. Drove one deep to the pull-side for a standup double. Thump in the bat and projects some power down the road. Lined out to dead centerfield in his last at-bat. 

Dominic Giuffre (2021 SS, Rio Del Mar, CA) continued to swing a hot stick as he stays short and simple. Found multiple barrels and sprayed it around to all fields. Stayed back on an outer half pitch and drove one into the right-centerfield gap for a single. 

Matt Perez (2021 OF, West Palm Beach, FL) flashed big time pop in the bat as he drove one deep into the right centerfield gap. Knows how to back spin the baseball and impacts out front with authority. He singled twice and doubled as well. Hammered one deep to left-center as he doubled to end his day. 

Luke Hammond (2021 3B, Cincinnati, OH) put a charge into one early as he drove it off the green monster replica in leftfield. Big thump in the barrel as he generates a ton of bat speed through the zone. Also was solid at shortstop, proved to have some range and a strong arm. 

Braden Freedman (2021 RHP, Corona Del Mar, CA) looked to do damage with every cut and he did so consistently. Singled early in the contest and proved he could run as well. He later went on to single to the pull-side. Flew out deep to centerfield that was robbed of being an extra-base hit. 

Mateo Zeppieri (2021 OF, Newmarket, ON) proved he could generate easy power out of his athletic 6-foot-1 frame. Drove one deep into the right-center gap and proved he could create opportunities with his feet on the paths. Just missed one late as he drove it deep down the rightfield line. 

Clement Febus (2021 C, Sarasota, FL) showcased some power as he drove one off the leftfield wall. Quick hands and feel for the barrel as he squared it up with ease. Does a great job getting the bat head out front. Later in the contest, he doubled down the leftfield line. 

Makai Johnson (2021 SS, Newberry, FL) was one of the most athletic prospects on the field as he cruised the paths and swung it with authority in the box. Loud single and then later went on to score. Launched one deep to left-center field late in the contest. Smoked a single back up the middle in his last at-bat. 

Hunter Walker (2021 C, Fortson, GA) created loud contact in every at-bat as he singled early and then crushed a double off the pull-side wall. Easy power in the bat & projects some juice down the road. 

Kian Nicoletti (2021 OF, Fullerton, CA) had one of the more impressive days at the dish as he crushed one off the top of the green monster in left for a standup double. Easy pop in the bat and knows how to leverage the baseball.

Griffin Collins (2021 OF, Rising Fawn, GA) found a couple of barrels during the contest as he sprayed it around for a double and single on the day. Heavy hands through the zone and he squares it up with authority.  


79- Purple Vs. 82- White Game Highlights

12/30/2020

Colin Jackson (2021 RHP/1B, Tampa, FL) tripled in his first at bat of the game today. Jackson showed a level swing plane with an aggressive approach at the plate. On the mound Jackson had a good showing as well. Jackson did a good job of mixing in his slider in any count and attacked hitters with his fastball. 

Steele Jackson (2021 OF, Hamilton, IN) tripled twice in the game for the white team. Jackson showed bat speed at the plate driving the ball to the left field fence both times and the ability to square the ball up. 

Jose Lopez (2021 OF, Naguabo, PR) doubled in his first at bat of the day today. Lopez showed a nice easy swing at the plate with a sound approach. 

Carlos Martinez Diaz (2021 C, Toa Alta, PR) doubled in his first at bat today. Diaz has a line drive swing plane and showed good barrel control at the plate. 

Juan Tolentino (2021 SS, Peabody, MA) had a good showing on the infield today. Tolentino showed good actions at short with lateral agility and soft sure hands. 

Ryan White (2021 3B, Orange, CA) doubled in the game for the white team. White showed pop at the plate with bat speed. 

Richard Bonomolo Jr (2021 OF, Bronx, NY) doubled in his second at bat of the game today. Bonomolo Jr showed bat speed at the plate with good barrel control and squared the ball up multiple times today. 

Connor Camp (2021 OF, Madisonville, LA) singled in each of his first two plate appearances today. Camp has a contact approach at the plate and hits the ball where it's pitched. 

Ayric Robinson (2021 OF, Meridian, ID) roped a double down the line in his last at bat of the day. Robinson showed pop in his bat and the ability to turn on an inside pitch. 


77-Gold vs. 80-Red

12/30/2020

Brode Susce (2021 RHP, Homewood, AL) utilized a big, physical build as he mowed down the opposing lineup. Did a great job mixing pitches and knew how to change eye levels. Pounded the zone and ran the fastball up to 88 mph. Mixed in a sharp slider as well. Struck out six in three innings of work. 

Brandan Jones (2021 RHP, Inverness, FL) swung it with authority in the box as he threw hands at the baseball and squared it up out front. He singled the other way early in the contest and was thrown out at second trying to turn it into a double but proved to have speed on the base paths. He also knocked in a run while doing so. 

Cameron Trego (2021 OF, Coatesville, PA) showcased himself as a two-way type prospect and did so with confidence. In the box, the lefty battled deep into a count before spraying a single to the pull-side. He later went on to steal a couple of bags as well. He later added a infield single to his name. On the hill, he pounded the strike zone from the left-side with a fastball, curveball mix. He struck out four in 2.0 innings pitched as he missed barrels. 

Luke Hammond (2021 3B, Cincinnati, OH) showed some thump in the bat as he generated whip with the bat head out of his physical 6-foot-3 frame. Early in the action, he sprayed a good outer half fastball to leftfield for a hard hit single.

Kian Nicoletti (2021 OF, Fullerton, CA) proved he could get the bat head out front as he looked to do damage with every cut. Later in the game, he took an inner half fastball and doubled down the leftfield line. The next pitch, he stole third base with a great jump. 

Dominic Giuffre (2021 SS, Rio Del Mar, CA) had multiple hits on the day as he swung it with confidence in the box. Utilized an aggressive approach as he tallied a single and a standup double to his name. Strong hands and has great feel for the bat head. Proved to have some speed on the base paths as well while generating opportunities with his feet. 

Braden Freedman (2021 RHP, Corona Del Mar, CA) put a charge into one late as he doubled off the leftfield wall. Big time power possibilities in the future. Strength in the hands present and takes big cuts at the baseball. 

 


78-Gray vs. 81-Royal Game Highlights

12/30/2020

Ozzie Martinez (2021 OF, Miami, FL) worked two strong innings on the mound displaying quick arm speed that allowed him to run the fastball up to 87. Filled up the zone and showed a confident demeanor on the mound working deliberately to both sides of the plate throughout.

Frank Perez (2021 OF, Tampa, FL) hit the ball with authority, making loud contact in each at bat. Sat back nicely on a breaking ball in his first time up and scorched it the other way to right. Showcases a strong build, and an ability to consistently find the barrel of the bat. Tossed a hitless inning of relief as well, flashing nice two-way potential.

Elijah Reeves (2021 OF, Casper, WY) displayed athleticism and the ability to hit the ball to both parts of the field squaring a pair of balls up in three at bats. Showed quickness down the line in his last at bat hustling out a sharp hit groundball to deep short.

Kalil Folch (2021 OF, Ocoee, FL) is a plus athlete and collected two hits in the ballgame, hitting the ball hard in all three times up. Showed plus speed beating out an infield single in his first at bat and followed it with an RBI knock his next time up there.

Ryan Henry (2021 1B, Villa Rica, GA) went 2-3 this morning including roping a single over the second baseman's head in his second time at bat. Utilizes a strong frame and strong wrists in the box and projects plus power in his bat moving forward.

Anthony Matteis (2021 C, Manalapan, NJ) showcased quick hands in the batters box and the ability to create nice leverage with his swing. Made the loudest contact of the morning on a long fly ball to deep left field in his first time at bat. Receives the ball well and is athletic behind the plate defensively as well.

Jake Wilson (2021 OF, Fort Myers, FL) picked up two hits this morning, pulling a double down the left field line in his last at bat. Has good bat to ball skills and the ability to make consistent hard contact.


81-Royal vs 82-White Game Highlights

12/29/2020

Jack Markham (2021 RHP, Aguadilla, PR) opened some eyes with his dominant performance today. He struck out seven opposing batters in four innings, sitting 86-88 mph with a sharp curveball. The 6-foot-2 senior has a physically advanced frame and won't be uncommitted for long. 

Ben Neadow (2021 RHP, Lawrenceville, GA) struck out an impressive nine batters and didn't give up a single hit in four innings of work. He had great feel for his off speed, mixing his pitches all game and keeping hitters off balance.

Noah Bennett (2021 3B, Atlanta, GA) was seeing the ball well today, going 3-for-4 in this one with an RBI for team Royal. The left-handed hitter peppered right side of the field with two singles and one hard hit double in the gap.

Weston Dean (2021 MIF, Montgomery, TX) was 2-for-3 with an RBI for the Royal team, smoking a line drive up the middle and hitting another ball sharply to right field.

Grady Hay (2021 OF, Noblesville, IN) had himself a day at the plate, collecting three hits and scoring two runs. Hay was the spark plug and catalyst for the Royal team at the top of the lineup.

Ozzie Martinez (2021 OF, Miami, FL) showed off the bat skills with a 2-for-3 day, including an RBI single to left field and a double down the third base line.

Antonio Ruiz (2021 C, Royal Palm Beach, FL) kept the hit parade going for the Royal team, collecting two hits and an RBI. The catcher used both sides of the field in the this one, showing his balanced approach.

Juan Tolentino (2021 SS, Peabody, MA) made a spectacular diving play in the six-hole, throwing the runner out from his knees. He addition to his advanced defensive actions, he smashed an RBI double to the left-centerfield gap.

Janiel A Hernandez (2021 LHP, Aguadilla, PR) struck out six batters in three innings for the White team. The left-hander sat 82-84 mph and touched 87 mph with a slow and controlled operation. 

Richie Belcher (2021 OF, Fort Myers, FL) showed very well on the mound today, sitting 86-89 mph with a curveball that fell off the table as it crossed the plate. He struck out four batters in two innings of shutout ball. 


77-Gold vs 78-Gray Game Highlights

12/29/2020

Anthony Matteis (2021 C, Manalapan, NJ) smoked a double to the pull side in his first at bat. Matteis has impressive bat speed with immense strength at impact as the ball explodes off the bat; Matteis also hopped on the mound in relief and touched 85 mph with a big breaking curveball. 

Luke Ostien (2021 LHP, Rosemount, MN) showed a polished three pitch mix highlighted by an innate feel to spin. Ostein worked in the upper-70s with life while he could throw the curveball for strikes in any count. 

Makai Johnson (2021 SS, Newberry, FL) did it all with a line drive single, a crushed triple, a blooped a single, and a defensive highlight reel. Johnson handles the barrel well with some surprising pop while he's as surehanded as they come at shortstop. 

Kian Nicoletti (2021 OF, Fullerton, CA) collected two hits with two singles on the day. Nicoletti controls the strike zone well with some whip to his hands and uses the pull side to his advantage. 

Dominic Giuffre (2021 SS, Rio Del Mar, CA) showed impressive speed with two stolen bases and great instincts. He collected an infield single, a barrel out to center, and made a big league diving play to his right at third base. 

Marty Boyle (2021 LHP, Chicago, IL) stood out for his pitchability with a true three pitch mix and a fastball that topped out at 81 mph. He's an athletic lefthander with a superb changeup and the ability to land the breaking ball for strikes. 

Luke Hammond (2021 3B, Cincinnati, OH) collected a couple of barrels on the afternoon with a single in his first at-bat and a screamer of a line out to centerfield. Hammond showed excellent instincts defensively as he knocked down a frozen rope at the hot corner with enough awareness to still get the out. 


79-Purple vs 80-Red

12/29/2020

Caden McCann (2021 LHP, Woodinville, WA) twirled 3 scoreless innings while striking out 6. McCann ran his FB. up to 78 and mixed in a CB at 67. 

Braden Norwood (2021 RHP, Murrieta, CA) threw 3 scoreless innings striking out 5 and did not surrender a hit. The CA Native had a good feel for all of his pitches including FB, CB & CU. 

Dawson Levine (2021 RHP, Lake Mary, FL) is as broad shouldered righty that gets on a downhill plane. Levine pounded the strike zone with FBs up to 82. The 2021 grad mixed in a well shaped CB at 70. 

Ayric Robinson (2021 OF, Meridian, ID) is a large framed righty with pitchability. Robinson topped at 78 with his FB and kept hitters off balance while striking out 3 over 3 scoreless innings. Robinson helped his own cause with a linedrive triple in the LCF gap in which in scored on a throwing error. Robinson has present strength in his swing and gap to gap power. 

Connor Camp-Smith (2021 1B, Lexington, SC) throws from a tight low 3/4 slot with a deceptive delivery. Camp-Smith has good ASR on his FB up to 81. The 2021 righty does a good job missing barrels and filling up the strike zone. 

William Cruz (2021 1B, Miami, FL) made quick work of hitters by aggressively attacking the zone. Cruz ended the day with 2 scoreless innings.
