2021 Top Prospects

Adam Featherstone  OF - 2021 - Charlotte, NC
Tallahassee CC

Featherstone is an outstanding runner with 6.62 speed in the sixty but his other tools are very strong as well, including a strong arm that paints him as a potential high level defender in centerfield. He showed some real power and bat speed as a right handed hitter, too.

Zak Thomas  1B - 2021 - North Providence, RI
Quinnipiac

Thomas is a seriously strong 6-4/215 right handed hitting first baseman whose big tool, not surprisingly, is his bat and power potential. He is committed to Quinnipiac and could be an immediate contributor there with his mature approach and present tools.

Aidan Smith  RHP - 2021 - Gastonia, NC
Belmont

The 6-4/170 Smith showed his big arm strength in the outfield drills, throwing an event high 92 mph, and was solid on the mound as well, working in the mid-80's with a sharp 72 mph curveball. He has a nice ceiling as he continues to get stronger and more physically mature.

Dusty Sanderlin  RHP - 2021 - Fort Mill, SC
Uncommitted

Sanderlin is a mature 6-0 right hander with good command of a fastball that topped out at 85 mph. His best pitch was a mid-70's slider that will be an effective pitch at the next level and he also threw a curveball.

Noah Nimmers  OF - 2021 - Charlotte, NC
Uncommitted

Nimmers is a high energy player whose 7.02 speed played much faster during the games. He's athletic enough to play in the middle of the field at the next level and may end up at second base eventually.

Alex Tanaka  SS - 2021 - Falls Church, VA
Uncommitted

Tanaka was one of the standout defenders at the event this weekend as his combination of soft hands, range, and overall acumen make him an exciting player. He's got a table setter profile offensively as the swing is clean with present barrel accuracy and should really work nicely as he fills out.

2022 Top Prospects

Noah Hertzler  RHP - 2022 - Rockingham, VA
William & Mary

Hertzler had easily the best velocity at the event on the mound, topping out at 90 mph after hitting 91 mph at the WWBA World Underclass last month. His slider was a solid second pitch and there is more velocity in there as he continues to fill in his 6-2/177 frame.

Isaiah Mack  3B - 2022 - Cornelius, NC
University of Alabama at Birmingham

Mack is a tool monster, with a present strong yet still projectable 6-3/195 build and eye-opening 6.58 speed in the sixty. He has a simple and mature approach at the plate that promises big future power and has a chance to be a solid defender at third base as well.

Jackson Shollenberger  C - 2022 - Easton, PA
Charleston Southern

Shollenberger has all the tools you want to see in a next level catcher, with a strong arm, very sound actions behind the plate and lots of right handed bat speed from his athletic 6-1/190 build.

Colin Horneman  C - 2022 - St John, IN
Lincoln Trail College

Horneman showed very good athletic quickness behind the plate and definitely has next level tools and skills defensively. That some quickness works well with his bat and he will continue to add to his bat speed as he fills out his 5-11/65 frame.

Gavin Brunsman  3B - 2022 - Alexandria, VA
Swarthmore College

Brunsman's best tool is his right handed bat and he has big power potential as he fills out his 6-2/175 frame. He swings with intent and is fluid and extended through contact. He's solid defensively at third base with very good fundamentals and skills.

Evan Bert  RHP - 2022 - Harrisonburg, VA
VCU

Bert impressed with the combination of stuff within his three pitch repertoire as well as the upside given the pure arm talent. He was up to 88 mph on the mound, holding mid-80s comfortably to pair with a sinking changeup and his future out pitch in a swing-and-miss breaking ball.

Kaden Hilburger  OF - 2022 - Yorktown, VA
Bryant

Hilburger is a rare switch-hitter who looks like he will be able to compete from both sides of the plate at the next level, although his quick and short right-handed swing has a bit more bat speed at present. On defense, Hilburger is a strong armed outfielder who can also play infield.

Robert McDonough  RHP - 2022 - Arlington, VA
William & Mary

McDonough is a strong bodied 6-2/190 right hander with three solid pitches in a fastball that topped out at 84 mph, a hard curveball and a change up. He's been up to 87 mph earlier this fall at PG tournaments.

Heath Owen  C - 2022 - Marietta, GA
Belmont

Owen is a very skilled defensive catcher and it's obvious that he's played lots of high level baseball in his development. He has strength in his right handed swing and showed power both in batting practice and in the games.

Christian Rice  RHP - 2022 - Colts Neck, NJ
Wofford

Rice showed three solid pitches on the mound from a fast paced and athletic delivery that had plenty of deception. He topped out at 85 mph on his fastball and both his slider and change up were quality pitches he could use at any count.

Mitchel Szymczak  C - 2022 - Strongsville, OH
Lake Erie College

Szymczak stood out in the games with his right handed bat, lacing four hits and showing very good timing and an accurate barrel to go with present bat speed. He's a solid defensive catcher with a good arm.

Mason Smith  SS - 2022 - Stanley, NC
East Carolina

Smith is a solid all around player, with a strong right handed bat and a nice arm that played well both in the middle infield on defense and on the mound. His 94 mph exit velocity was one of the top marks of the event

Maddox Burnworth  RHP - 2022 - Blacklick, OH
Uncommitted

Burnworth is a polished young right hander with plenty of strength coming on his 6-2/170 build. His mechanics are sound and simple, which gives him the ability to command three solid pitches in an 84 mph fastball, curveball and change up.

Colbert Watkins  SS - 2022 - Greenville, NC
Uncommitted

Watkins is a solid infield prospect, with athleticism at 6-3/180 to play in the middle of the field and good raw bat speed. But he was interesting on the mound as well, with a fastball up to 84 mph and feel for spinning the ball.

Nicholas Christopher Noga  RHP - 2022 - Avondale, PA
West Chester

Noga is an athletic and projectable 6-1/165 right-hander who topped out at 84 mph with a curveball and change up and has been up to 85-87 mph earlier this fall at PG tournaments.

Mason Flack  3B - 2022 - Milton, GA
Coker University

Flack is a 6-2/190 right handed hitting first baseman with plenty of present bat speed and power potential. He's a solid athlete who will be an asset on defense as well.

Will Sword  RHP - 2022 - Cary, NC
Princeton

Sword is a big and physically mature athlete with a strong right arm and plenty of right handed power at the plate. We think he has more potential on the mound if he'd cut down on playing every position during drills and just concentrate on showing his tools as a pitcher.

Cole Hart  OF - 2022 - Charlotte, NC
Uncommitted

Hart has a young and twitchy 6-0/170 build that projects well and a nice collection of present tools, including 6.78 speed, a strong throwing arm from both the outfield and infield and a quick right handed swing.

2023 Top Prospects

Nigel Robinson  OF - 2023 - High Point, NC
North Carolina A&T

Robinson looks the part with his extra strong 6-1/195 build and he has big tools to go with it. He ran a 6.70 sixty while throwing 87 mph from the outfield in drills and has big right handed bat speed at the plate.

Braeden Collins  RHP - 2023 - Pikeville, NC
Uncommitted

Collins is a very athletic young right hander who has potential as a two-way player, especially with his right handed bat. He was 83-87 mph on the mound and had what might have been the best breaking ball at the showcase in a mid-70's slider with nasty biting action and good command.

Tyler Parks  3B - 2023 - Asheboro, NC
North Carolina

Parks bat really stood out in the games as he lashed four hits, including a double and triple, while showing plenty of right handed bat speed. He has a very strong arm for a sophomore and fluid actions in the infield on defense.

Gavin Johnson  OF - 2023 - Youngsville, NC
Gardner-Webb

Johnson is a very good runner with 6.95 speed but his most impressive tool during this event was his left handed bat. He has quick hands and has far more power than you'd expect from a 5-8/160 sophomore.

Cooper Smith  SS - 2023 - Prospect, KY
Troy

Smith is a twitchy 5-9/150 middle infielder with 6.91 speed and plenty of athleticism to develop as he gets stronger. The Kentucky native showed surprising right handed bat speed for his size and age and projects as a hitter as well as a middle of the field defender.

Sylas Boris  SS - 2023 - Greensboro, NC
Georgia Southern

Boris has a nice balanced tool set for a sophomore and looks like he'll have the chance to stay in the middle infield as he continues to grow as a player. He has quick hands and a fluid swing as a right handed hitter.

Luke Miller  RHP - 2023 - Florence, SC
Hillsdale

Miller looks like a pitcher with his big 6-4/200 frame and gets big downhill angle and plus sinking action from a high 3/4's arm slot. His fastball topped out at 85 mph, with plenty more in there, and he also threw a big breaking 12/6 cuirveball.

Nick Pratt  C - 2023 - Severna Park, MD
UMBC

Pratt has a nice combination of offensive and defensive tools and skills for a sophomore and a 6-0/170 body that projects very well. He's going to keep improving for years ahead.

Yoon Chae  SS - 2023 - Virginia Beach, VA
Amherst College

Chae is one of those players who doesn't have the singular big physical tool or the projectable body but it's immediately obvious he's a very good baseball player. He's going to hit and he's going to make all the plays in the infield, probably at second base.

Ben Moyzan  RHP - 2023 - Bethlehem, PA
Uncommitted

Moyzan is a primary second baseman who profiles at third base at the next level but was also intriguing as a two-way prospect. He topped out at 85 mph on the mound with a solid athletic delivery that projects and showed depth to his curveball.

2024 Top Prospects

Aiden Harris  3B - 2024 - Midlothian, VA
Virginia

Harris is undoubtedly one of the strongest players in the 2024 class nationally and the ball just comes off his right handed bat differently. It's loud with big back spin and carry to all fields.

Luke Keefer  SS - 2024 - North East, MD
Maryland

Keefer is a very mature hitter for a freshman and it's obvious he's had lots of experience and at-bats for his age. His 6-1/165 frame projects extremely well and he can develop into an all-around standout on the field.

Dagan Kitner  RHP - 2024 - Boyce, VA
Uncommitted

Kitner has a projectable 6-1/175 build and has a chance to be a strong young man when he's physically mature. He has a calm and well paced delivery that produced a fastball up to 84 mph and a 73 mph slider that he commanded well.

2025 Top Prospects

Micah Matthews  OF - 2025 - Bridgewater, VA
Uncommitted

Matthews is fresh off an appearance in the 13U Festival in Oklahoma City in September and continues to show why he's one of the most projectable and talented athletes in the 2025 class. He's a graceful athlete with a very high offensive ceiling.

Cameron Aycock  OF - 2025 - Pikeville, NC
Uncommitted

Aycock dominated the games with a quick and very accurate left-handed swing that produced line drive after line drive and with his speed and aggressiveness on the bases. He's a 6.77 runner whose speed plays up between the lines.

Luke Pappano  LHP - 2025 - Cincinnati, OH
Mississippi

Pappano was one of the best two-way talents at the event even though he's only a 2025. He was up to 82 mph on the mound with feel for his off speed pitches but might have even been better over the weekend in the left handed batter's box.

Donavan Jeffrey  1B - 2025 - Chester, VA
Miami

Jeffrey is a serious strong young man at 6-2/199 and that strength shows very well in his right handed swing. He has a very simple and repeatable approach that was very well timed and consistently squared the ball up hard.

Gabriel (Gabe) Smith  RHP - 2025 - Moseley, VA
Uncommitted

Smith is a confident and mature player for his age with a strong 5-11/180 build. His best tool is his right-handed bat and his swing is both fluid and strong. He has prototypical third base tools and athleticism on defense and was even up to 81 mph on the mound.
