2030 Top Prospects
Jonah Perry  RHP - 2030 - Prescott Valley, AZ

Perry was another projectable standout this past weekend. Currently stands 6-foot-2, 170 pounds and moved well throughout the day whether that was in the 60-yd (7.37) out in the OF or on the mound. At the plate, it’s a clean stroke that shows present timing and barrel feel with sneaky strength. His best showing was on the mound where his arm showed looseness and easy armspeed to release where he ran his heater up to 81 and showed some present ability to spin it.

Maddox Bell  C - 2030 - Phoenix, AZ

Bell was a standout in multiple facets this past weekend. Ran a quality 7.33 60-yd dash which was T5 for the event. Showed off an advanced LH swing both in BP and in-game. Loose and rhythmic with some sneaky strength at impact especially to the pull side. He then showed arm talent from multiple positions where it shined on the mound as well running it up into the upper 70s, T79.

Mj Emmons  SS - 2030 - San Tan Valley, AZ

Emmons has been a consistent standout in front of our scouting staff and he impressed again this past weekend. Ran a 7.27 60-yd dash which was 4th best of the group. Athleticism shows out at SS with light/quick feet and sure hands while flashing adv. arm strength for his level as well (81 mph). His LH swing then showed well in-game where it impacted a ball well to the pull side and other way. There’s quickness to the hands and the path shows length that allows him to backspin it well to all parts of the field.

Elijah McGibiany  OF - 2030 - Chandler, AZ

Elijah showed skill and projection in several aspects of his game. Currently stands at 6-1/160 and ran a solid 7.38 60-yd dash. Athleticism showed in the INF with smooth footwork he paired with sure hands and a quality arm. Swing has developing parts but it’s a relatively simple stroke where the barrel works direct. Also jumped on the mound where he showed an upper 70s fastball and developing secondaries.

Jamisen Farrington  SS - 2030 - Kingman, AZ

Farrington was a two-way standout that performed well in just about everything he did. Ran a solid 7.36 60-yd dash. Flashed quality athleticism and fundamentals in both the INF and OF. At the plate, the swing was smooth and showed some out front length to the path that translated to some barrels during gameplay. Was also effective on the mound, running it up to 79 within a clean delivery while mixing in a strong slider that flashed some sweeper traits.

Grayson Ortiz  OF - 2030 - Phoenix, AZ

Several parts to like in Ortiz’s game throughout the weekend. Ran the 2nd best 60 with a 6.91 60-yd dash. Developing skills defensively but showed quality arm strength (76 mph). Just a decent round of BP but the swing played well during gameplay with multiple hard pull side barrels. Also jumped on the mound where he worked a bit unorthodox down the mound but was effective with pitches that showed a ton of movement.

Broxton Podolsky  OF - 2030 - Gilbert, AZ

It was a quality overall showing for Podolsky. Started with demonstrating decent skill in both the OF and INF during his defensive workout. It was then his ability to get off strong hacks during gameplay where he pounded LDs into both gaps within a swing that does a lot of things right. Also flashed some ability on the mound as well.

Adam Villa  C - 2030 - Chandler, AZ

Villa stood out behind the plate whether that was with framing/receiving, blocking, some catch/throw (2.13 POP) or just with his pure energy and effort. Also looked the part at the plate where he showed strength and intent to the swing that translated to a ton of hard contact during gameplay.

Scotty Beddes Jr  1B - 2030 - Highland, UT

Beddes Jr. was a fine performer during his defensive workout but showed obvious present skill and upside offensively. It’s a physical 6-2/215 LH bat with a ton of present strength. The swing is smooth and relaxed into launch and the barrel works direct and gets to some lift and impact when he catches it out front. It was a swing that played both in BP and in gameplay where he caught multiple barrels.

Justus Sipe  OF - 2030 - Cave Creek, AZ

Sipe showed skill in multiple aspects of his game. Proper technique + fundamentals in the OF where he worked through the baseball well and got off accurate throws with adv. arm strength for his level (81 mph). In the box, it’s developing strength and bat speed but the barrel works on a clean path that produced LDs both in BP and during gameplay. Also showed sound mechanics on the mound where he ran his fastball into the mid 70s, T76 and threw strikes.
