Showed versatility on the defensive side, working out at middle infield, catcher and threw a couple innings on the mound. Impressed on the mound with a mature operation and feel for zone.

Liam Wariner  SS - 2031 - Georgetown, IN

Wariner was not the most physical player on the field, but his actions stood out with solid fundamentals and feel for the game. He was athletic on the mound, blending pitches and fielding his position nicely. His first step on the clay was explosive, he played deep into his base and the arm was plenty with accuracy to go with it. Wariner’s short stroke at the plate will play up the line with power coming with added strength.

Wethington flashed quality tools across the board and the physicality that projects long term. He competed well on the mound, showed the ability to handle both the outfield and infield where he got to show off his solid arm talent. His carrying tool at this point may be his bat where he uses the whole field with quick hands and natural loft already.

Impressed in the outfield during defensive workouts with projectable arm strength and accurate throws. Consistent balance and approach in the swing, working to the entire field and consistently on the barrel.
