Batting Practice Highlights

2/4/2024

Jackson Bernosky (2027 C, Aurora, CO) showed good intent to his right handed swing in his round of batting practice as he showed projectable bat speed with an ability to get on plane early and drive the baseball hard on a line to the big parts of the field.

Julian Bernosky (2026 OF, Aurora, CO) demonstrated a simplified approach allowing his to get the lower half on time and employ a quick compact stroke attacking the inner half of the baseball while using the middle of the field at his best.

Max Garza (2026 SS, Colorado Springs, CO) did a nice job getting the barrel to all parts of the zone with a balanced approach from a repeatable setup and pre-swing trigger. The playable loft in the bat path helps to create bat spin on the ball flight while using the middle to pull side.

Garrett Hamilton (2024 C, Amarillo, TX) does a nice job getting back to even with a toe tap trigger from his open stance. The barrel gets on plane early in the swing allowing his bat speed to play as he gets to impact out front consistently with hard linear contact.

Eli Shappee (2026 LHP, Aurora, CO) starts with a narrow stance getting to a strong base as he strides into contact. The strength in the hands and loft in the bat path allow him to impact the ball to all fields with back spin and projectable carry.

Jackson Shepherd (2027 SS, Superior, CO) took a strong round showing an ability to find the barrel at a higher rate. He does a nice job getting the front foot down on time and attacking the hitting zone with solid bat speed while driving the baseball back through the box.

Adriel Figueroa-Brito (2025 SS, Albuquerque, NM) showcased solid athleticism and quick twitch in his right-handed swing that allows him to cover the plate and use the whole field. The bat speed shows more in the swing at present with more power to project on as the strength continues to grow.

Cal Tiner (2025 C, Aurora, CO) took a very consistent round showcasing an accurate barrel as he sprayed line drives from gap to gap. His wide base set allows him to get into his lower half where he can create leverage from the ground up.

Jack McWilliams (2024 OF, San Marcos, CA) displayed a special skill set with his combination of strength and above average bat speed. The ball jumps off the barrel with the ability to create leverage at the point of contact as he creates extension through the baseball.

Gunnar Dillard (2025 C, San Angelo, TX) has some solid rhythm to his swing that keeps him on time with the barrel out front at the point of contact. The strength in the hands provides a nice punch at the point of contact as he did a nice job working from the middle to pull side of the field.

Jayce Ibarra (2026 C, Pueblo, CO) gets back to even from his slightly open stance with a toe tap trigger. He is able to drive the baseball with projectable carry as he shows some present loft to the bat path with good extension through contact.

Caleb Korth (2026 LHP, Parker, CO) does a nice job staying short and tight to contact with a tight turn as he gets the barrel out front with some extension in the arms at contact. The ball jumps best from the middle to pull side of the field with his present bat speed.

1-Black vs 3-Purple Game Highlights

2/4/2024

Jackson Bernosky (2027 C, Aurora, CO)- Sat 80-82 during entire frame of work, some late arm side run at times with a upper 60's CB mixed in there with top to bottom shape. Flashed a CH, very talented backstop with present arm strength.

Brayden Reiner (2026 C, Thornton, CO)- Strong backside double that would have one/two hopped the fence on full field, strong kid with a feel for the barrel. Up to 81 on the bump, mixes in both SL/CB and can get outs.

-Michael Albee

2-Orange vs 3-Purple

2/4/2024

Blake Maestas (2027 C, Colorado Springs, CO)- Extremely impressive showing, up to 77 with heavy depth/cut to the heater and landed it GS for strikes consistently. Big depth to the hook and could land for punchouts twice, showed a lateral slider in same velo band as well. Very athletic frame.

Adriel Figueroa-Brito (2025 SS, Albuquerque, NM)- Electric arm speed and mix when in the zone, up to 90 and sat 88/9 entire frame with FB up to 2500 RPM, nasty late biting CB for whiffs in the low 70s mixed in as well. Tough 1-2 punch to handle, primary SS.

Cole Teltschik (2026 C, Colorado Springs, CO) got a hold of a middle/middle slider and did not miss it, barreling up one of the loudest pieces of the day. Stuck 88-89 behind the dish really well and framed up a lot of nasty breakers too; projectable backstop with present strength.

-Michael Albee

1-Black vs 2-Orange Game Highlights

2/4/2024

Matt Hoerr (2024 RHP, Golden, CO)- Good showing in his two frames of work, avoided the barrel with his mix and should have more velo in the tank. Up to 80 and sat 78-80 through two, firm out of the hand with big depth to the 2300 RPM curve, change in the mix with some jog shown to LHH.

Garrett Hamilton (2024 C, Amarillo, TX)- Loudest barrel of the day so far comes from Hamilton; got a center cut heater and unloaded on one that would have carried to deep right-center on an open field. Strong kid with present bat speed.

Jaden Bowen (2024 RHP, Houston, TX)- Solid work in his two inning stint, sat right at 78-80 through with a firm fastball and mixed in a splitter to left handers with arm side run. Mixed in short breaker in the low 70s with good results.

Jackson Bernosky (2027 C, Aurora, CO)- Very projectable athlete, took a a solid round behind the dish and showed off some budding power in live AB's with a barreled up LD to RCF.

Eli Shappee (2026 LHP, Aurora, CO)- Flashed of a solid three pitch mix for the southpaw; up to 80 and moving it east/west with purpose and intent, biting CB mixed in there and rounds off the mix with a change piece. Projects as a '26, stuff to like.

Luke Blasco (2027 LHP, Lonetree, CO)- Well rounded mix for a '27, locating the FB that grabbed 78. Low spin profile, in the zone with entire mix and features a nasty sweeping CB he utlized for a punchout; sinking CH in there too.

-Michael Albee
