8-Purple vs. 7-White Game Highlights

Carlos Gonzaga Jr. (2026 2B, Warwick, RI) hit a single the other way over the second baseman's head in the early going. He has a short swing and is a strong player for his age. Really solid foundation to continue building onto.

Brian Moore Jr (2028 3B, Glen Mills, PA) hit a ball hard into the left center gap in the second inning. He's a strongly built player with some projectable pop. He swings the bat with intent and finds the barrel often.

Harrison Milanowski (2028 SS, Dothan, AL) is a twitchy player that found a barrel in the early going on a double into left center. Showed some baserunning awareness taking second. Has good feel for the game.

Bennett Morrow (2027 C, Jackson, GA) put the barrel on the ball on a single to right field. Has young bat speed and some loft to the path. Fundamentally sound swing that gets extended often.

Jaxon Pulliam (2027 C, Lebanon, TN) laced a single into right field in the middle innings. He has a pure, lofted stroke that leads to a lot of barrels. He has a tall, athletic build with a lot of projection to the frame.

Jay Hernandez (2027 SS, Rex, GA) made a play at shortstop charging in to his right and made a good, off-balanced throw to first base to get the out by a step. Had a very solid day yesterday in the defensive workout and continued it during the game.

Quincy Pratt (2027 C, Oxford, MS) got on the mound and looked very solid. Heavy fastball diet, up to 77 mph, living 74-76 mph. Fastball has good ride out of the hand and he's riding it up in the zone. He has a nice, projectable frame with a lot more velocity in there.

Batting Practice Highlights

Landon Rawlins (2027 OF, Braselton, GA) showed some hand speed in the round. He worked right back up the middle and showed the ability to impact the ball out front later in the round.

Quincy Pratt (2027 C, Oxford, MS) showcased good bat speed and barrel whip through the zone in the round. He has a short, simple swing that results in a lot of barrels and is growing into power.

Jay Hernandez (2027 SS, Rex, GA) put together a very solid round and hit the ball hard to both sides of the field. He has hand eye coordination with obvious feel for the barrel already.

Colt Babic (2027 OF, Camden, SC) showcased a short, simple cut throughout his round. He's a lean, young player with a ton of time to continue to grow and is already hitting the ball hard to both gaps.

Michael Wang (2027 OF, Johns Creek, GA) got the barrel extended early and often in the round as he had some loud pull-side contact. He showed strength off the barrel and still has a lot of room to continue to mature into the frame.

Jacob Wiggs (2027 SS, Greenville, SC) had some loud barrel contact throughout the round. He generates good bat speed and stays engaged in the lower half well.

7 - White v. 8 - Purple

7 - White

Joseph Gallivan (2027 3B, Cumming, GA) turned in a multi-hit game from the leadoff spot. Joseph helped his club all game long as he scored a run and drove a fastball down the line to the pull side for a triple. At the plate, the righthanded hitter stays short through the hitting zone with hand-eye coordination and bat speed which makes hard hit contact with the barrel. Line-drive result in each of his three at-bats with evident twitch in the box and aggressive hip drive. Also appeared on the mound in relief and worked two innings, scattered two hits, and struck out three. Worked ahead of hitters with his fastball up to 67 mph, and curveball in the mid-50’s, high of 59 mph.

Mikey Ianniello (2027 SS, Suwanee, GA) was third out of the bullpen for his club and capitalized on his assignment as he worked two-hitless innings with a punchout. On the mound, Ianniello has a short, quick arm action and even tempo, aiding his control as he filled the zone nearly 60%. With ability to work into pitcher-friendly counts time and again, Mikey demonstrated feel for his repertoire as he ran his fastball up to 60-mph and mixed in a curveball in the high 50’s when ahead for swing-and-miss. Displayed the ability to work down the mound, staying in line with the plate, with ability to work over his front side.

Tanner Ivaska (2027 OF, Senoia, GA) was impressive in all phases. At the plate, Ivaska turned in a multi-hit game with two-runs scored, and RBI. On both hits, he was able to get extended and meet pitches with the barrel out front driving hard hit contact down the line to the pull side. First step quickness out of the box, as he is a quick mover and remained aggressive on the bases. He would appear on the mound in a relief stint and work a 1/3 of an inning where he reached back and flashed a heater at 76-mph and a curveball in the low 60’s.

Braden MacNeil (2027 RHP, Ashburn, VA) earned the start for White and was excellent working three, one-hit innings with seven strikeouts and no walks. On the mound MacNeil looked the part, pitched with clean delivery and a smooth arm-action that released his mix out front from a high-3/4 slot. Tunneling his mix throughout, he featured a fastball up to 72-mph with run, a changeup in the low 60’s with developing feel, and a curveball in the mid-60’s with depth. Braden would also hit a double in the game. At the plate, he demonstrated feel and comfort in the box. Worked into a hitter’s count and was able to get extended, drive a fastball to the gap. Athleticism plays in all phases.

8 - Purple

Brayden Schwantz (2028 RHP, Daniel Island, SC) started on the mound for his club and worked the first three innings scoreless with two-hits stranded and two strikeouts. Schwantz did a nice job featuring a mechanically sound delivery, which helped him throw nearly 60% of his 41-pitches for strikes. Brayden stayed on the attack all game long as he worked ahead of most of the batter’s he faced. He showcased confidence in his mix and ran his fastball up to 71-mph, while mixing in a curveball in the low 60’s.

Colt Babic (2027 OF, Camden, SC) flashed the highest fastball velocity in the game, reaching back to get 79-mph during his two-innings of work out of the bullpen. Simple delivery with clean actions on the mound make Colt a projectable option moving forward. Babic was able to mix his changeup and curveball when ahead making him a difficult at-bat for his opponent all outing long.

Carlos Gonzaga Jr. (2026 2B, Warwick, RI) would follow the aforementioned Babic in his own relief appearance and capitalized on his opportunity as he pitched a 13-pitch outing with a strikeout. Up and at-them mechanics and a clean arm-action helped him fill the strike zone garnering soft contact. Featured a fastball up to 65-mph and a curveball with developing movement in the low 60’s.

Walker McElwain (2027 3B, Alexandria, VA) was impressive in the box as he turned in a multi-hit game with two singles, a RBI and a run scored. Aggressive in the box, McElwain kept things simple with a see-ball, hit-ball approach. Quick twitch at the plate helped him jump all over fastballs in the zone, producing hard hit contact to the gaps. A good athlete, Walker moves well out of the box and on the bases with aggression and acumen. Profiles well to third base as well with arm strength and feel for the leather.
