6-White vs. 1-Gold Game Highlights

Noah Crews (2022 C, Pierce City, MO) was able to turn on a fastball in his first at bat today, launching a missel to left-center field for an easy triple.  He is a strong athlete that makes the most of his frame, causing the ball to jump off his bat into the gaps.

 

Ethan Hampton (2025 OF, Overland Park, KS) showed good potential as a hitter and a pitcher today, launching a stand up double over the left fielder’s head that one hopped the fence.  He was able to turn the barrel over on a high pitch and drive it deep.  On the mound he worked one inning, recording one strikeout without allowing a hit.  He ran his fastball up to 78 mph and featured a curveball that came in at 67 mph.

 

Tyeler Hill (2023 RHP, Kansas City, MO) added onto his impressive weekend today, going 2-for3 with a double down the right field line and a sharply hit RBI single up the middle. He is consistently on time and hits the ball where hit is pitched.  He has good bat-to-ball skills, making hard contact to all fields.

 

Erik Tapia (2022 RHP, Kansas, KS) pitched a solid three innings today, striking out five without allowing a hit.  He has a live arm that allowed his fastball to sit 80-84 mph.  He paired this heater with a nice slider that has good two plane break.  He is a slender athlete that has plenty of room to add strength and velocity.

 

Jackson Edwards (2024 C, Nixa, MO) was ready to hit today, crushing a first pitch fastball into the right-center field gap that went over the center fielder’s head for an RBI double.  He is a strong athlete that uses his lower half well, generating easy power.  He also has worked hard behind the plate, blocking balls and receiving well all weekend.

 

Avery Oravetz (2023 SS, Wildwood, MO) did a little of everything today, going 2-for-3 with a triple at the plate and working three innings on the mound.  His triple was a line shot that went deep into the left-center field gap.  He also showed off the hand strength, muscling a tough pitch into center for his single.  On the mound, he pitched three innings and struck out seven.  He ran the fastball up to 80 mph and featured a 69 mph curveball.

 

Jonas Potter (2022 1B, Overland Park, KS) made the most of his last at bat with runners on, sending a ball deep over the left fielder’s head for a stand-up double that resulted in two RBIs.  He is a strong athlete with an uphill swing.  His combination of strength and swing path leads to serious damage when he is on time with pitches left over the plate.

2-Green vs. 3-Navy Game Highlights

Tannen Buss (2023 C, Olathe, KS) showed maturity at the plate today, utilizing the whole field with singles the other way and one pull side.  He is mechanically sound in his swing, allowing him to hit any pitch in any location.  He also performed well behind the dish, blocking and receiving well throughout the weekend.

 

Kuyper Kendall (2022 SS, Overland Park, KS) saw the ball well this weekend, sending a long triple off the left field wall in this one.  He has good feel for the barrel and has displayed the power potential in his game opportunities.  He stays balanced at the plate and has quick hands, creating good barrel speed through the zone.

 

Sawyer Piros (2025 SS, Wichita, KS) did a nice job keeping his weight back on a triple that he sent into the right center field gap.  He has a fluid swing and good feel for the barrel.  His swing has natural loft, something that will play well as he continues to develop and get stronger.

 

Derrick Pitts (2024 OF, St. Louis, MO) made loud contact in all of his at bats today, sending hard line drives all over the field that and recording a base hit.  His hit came on a hard liner that went over the shortstop’s head on a high and inside pitch.  He is able to keep his hands tight to his body, staying inside the ball and getting the barrel through.

 

Easton Pratt (2023 OF, Polk City, IA) showed clean mechanics on the mound in his two innings.  He has an easy, repeatable motion and racked up three strikeouts throughout his outing.  He has a large frame that is extremely projectable.  His fastball was up to 79 mph today, and he will continue to add velocity as he adds strength.  He would rope and RBI triple down the third baseline later in the game.

 

Max Bettis (2025 RHP, Topeka, KS) was aggressive early in counts at the plate, attacking a first pitch fastball for an RBI single up the middle.  He would also add a base hit to right field in a later at bat.  He has a large frame for his age and will continue to develop and add strength. 

 

Noah Boschee (2025 SS, Sioux Falls, SD) showed off his strong hands by sending a ball deep into the left-center field gap that rolled all the way to the fence for a triple.  He did a nice job of getting on plane with a high fastball and turned the barrel over well, allowing him to get all of the pitch.

 

Henry Cordes (2024 RHP, Chesterfield, MO) does a nice job of letting the ball get deep into the hitting zone, sending a pair of base hits to right field today.  He has a good frame with room to add plenty of strength.  His opposite field approach will continue to pay off as he develops as it makes him a tough out for opposing pitchers.

4-Orange vs. 5-Royal Game Highlights

Gavin Fuemmeler (2022 OF, Troy, KS) jumped all over the first pitch of game, lining a triple into the right center field gap.  He is an athletic player with that has a good frame with plenty of room to add strength.  His quick hands and aggressive approach lead to a lot of hard contact all over the field.

 

Luke Fricker (2022 OF, Kansas City, MO) showed nice two-way potential, following up an impressive day at the plate yesterday with a good outing on the mound today.  He worked two innings and struck out five hitters and only allowed one hit.  He went after hitters with his fastball that he ran up to 85 mph.  He primarily used a curveball with deep 11-5 shape as his off speed and also worked in a slider that had late tilt.

 

Sebastian Norman (2025 3B, Springfield, MO) was dominant on the mound, striking out his first three batters he faced.  He fires with a short arm action and his fastball gets on hitters sitting 85-87 mph.  He ended the day with two innings on the mound, striking out six and only allowing one hit.  He paired this fastball with a wicked 11-5 curveball that came in at 71 mph.  He also showed off his skills with the bat, drilling a full count fastball deep over the center fielder’s head for an easy triple.

 

Brylan Haas (2022 OF, Overland Park, KS) turned on an inside fastball and sent it over the right fielder’s head for a stand up double.  He was aggressive at the plate, going after the first pitch in the at bat.  He shows good bat control, making hard contact to all fields.  He would add a single to left field in his second at bat.

 

Brooks Kettering (2023 SS, Springfield, MO) made the most of a fastball over the middle of the plate, sending a double over the left fielder’s head.  He has natural loft in his swing with strength to pair with it.  He is aggressive at pitches in the zone and has an all fields approach.  He also worked an inning on the mound, throwing from a true side arm delivery generating a lot of movement on his fastball that sat 80-83 mph.  He paired this fastball with a firm slider that had good horizontal movement that came in at 74 mph.

 

Johnny Carver (2026 1B, Raymore, MO) was impressive on the mound today, working two innings and striking out four without allowing a hit.  He fires from a low ¾ arm slot that generates run on his fastball that was up to 77 mph.  His curveball has good 1-7 shape with nice depth, generating swings and misses throughout the outing.  He wasn’t scared to go after hitters either, consistently being in the zone with both pitches.  He also worked in a changeup that had good depth.

 

Christopher Mancinas (2024 SS, Kansas City, KS) showed off the wheels on a ball he sprayed over the third baseman that resulted in a double due to his speed and baserunning abilities.  He is a twitchy athlete that has quick hands and hunts the extra base.

 

Chase Brock (2022 3B, St Charles, MO) ended the day with a bang, sending a no doubt home run to left field.  He is a strong player that utilizes his body well throughout his swing and looks to do damage to pitches left over the plate.  He has a good frame with room to add even more strength and power.

Batting Practice Highlights

Trey Jozwiakowski (2025 3B, Fenton, MO) is a young prospect that shows advanced physicality and power potential for his age. He utilizes an upright and slightly open stance with a naturally lofted bat path, and he can really impact the ball when delivering the barrel out front.

Brooks Allen (2024 SS, Andover, KS) has an open and narrow stance in the box with a simple stride, and he was able to produce consistent contact during his round thanks to the repeatability of his swing. He showed a flat bat path through the zone with present bat to ball skills, and he has the ability to get an plane with varying pitch heights.

Max Bettis (2025 RHP, Topeka, KS) flashed some quickness and raw strength during his round, producing loud contact and hard line drives when he met the ball out front. He has significant loft in his bat path, which is a promising sign for power potential down the road.

Noah Boschee (2025 SS, Sioux Falls, SD) showcased some intriguing feel for the barrel in this one, spraying the ball to all fields and finding barrel more often than not. His ability to drive the ball to each gap will be amplified as he continues to grow and get stronger, which will make him a real weapon at the plate.

Henry Cordes (2024 RHP, Chesterfield, MO) may be a primary pitcher, but he really impressed in BP, taking high intent swings and showing some real pull side juice. He created some loft to the path and he showed the ability to get extended out front consistently, making him a dangerous at bat for opposing pitchers.

Manuel Dunn (2025 SS, Kansas City, KS) has a lot of projectable pieces in his swing, and he is a talented switch-hitter that shows promise from both sides of the plate. At this age, it's rare to see a switch-hitter as polished as him, as he displayed an all fields approach with present bat speed.

Tannen Buss (2023 C, Olathe, KS) has a smooth stroke with some natural loft to the path and plenty of quickness in the hands. He gets off his back side well and does a good job incorporating his lower half into the swing. He displayed an all fields approach with good balance and body control throughout. 

Hunter Jones (2024 RHP, Ridgedale, MO) produced consistent line drives during his round, showing a flat bat path through the zone with good feel for the barrel. He gets good drive from his lower half and he created some loud contact to his pull side when on time and squared. 

Kuyper Kendall (2022 SS, Overland Park, KS) has plenty of projectable components to his swing, as he showed great loft to the bat path with the ability to turn the barrel over with authority. He flashed some intriguing pull side juice and displayed explosive hands and hips that helped create consistent line drive contact. 

Derrick Pitts (2024 OF, St. Louis, MO) showed lightning quick hands and legit bat speed during his round. The young prospect has plenty of athleticism and intent in his game with some tools to be excited about for the future. He produced consistent line drive contact towards the middle of the field during his round. 

Brooks Richardson (2023 C, Salina, KS) was sending line drives all over the field in this one, displaying good feel for the barrel with a lofted path. In addition to his mature and balanced approach, he also has some power to tap into, as he proved to have pull side juice when making contact out in front of the plate. 

Ronnie (RJ) Ross Jr (2024 1B, Kansas City, KS) has an intimidating 6-foot-3, 260-pound frame with obvious strength and power potential. He is certainly physically advanced for his age, and he showed the ability to create leverage and pop to the right side of the field. He is an aggressive and high intent swinger that looks to do damage with each pitch. 

Brandon Hill (2025 OF, Lees Summit, MO) utilized a short and compact stroke with some loft to the path. He incorporates his lower half well within the swing, showing an all-fields approach with good feel for the barrel. He had a solid showing in this one, as he consistently peppered the field with hard-hit line drives. 

Christopher Mancinas (2024 SS, Kansas City, KS) is a talented switch-hitter that showed a lofted bat path with good feel for the barrel on both sides of the plate. He utilizes a leg lift trigger and stays balanced throughout the swing, displaying good body control and sequencing. His swing projects for more power as he continues to grow and get stronger. 

Garrett Shull (2024 SS, Enid, OK) is an aggressive and high intent swinger that looks to do damage on each pitch, and he flashed lightning quick bat speed through the zone in this one. His operation is smooth and he generates big jump off the barrel, especially from the left side of the plate. The switch-hitter definitely has some projectable components to be excited about moving forward. 

Sebastian Norman (2025 3B, Springfield, MO) is a physically advanced prospect with legitimate impact tools already showing. He has some things to really like about his swing moving forward, as he swings with high intent and has present bat speed. He gets extended out front well, and he flashed some pull side juice during his round. 

Jackson Glueck (2024 1B, Kansas City, MO) is a strong and physical switch-hitter that has advanced bat speed and impact potential for his age. He utilizes a naturally lofted bat path and looks to do damage to his pull side with each pitch. The ball jumps off his bat when he gets extended out front and is on time and squared. 

Jackson Edwards (2024 C, Nixa, MO) has quality intent to the stroke and he barreled up several balls during his round. His bat speed and overall ability to produce consistent line drive contact was notable, and his frame projects for much more power down the road.

3-Navy vs. 4-Orange Game Highlights

Sam Bettis (2025 RHP, Topeka, KS) was tough on opposing hitters on the mound today, working three innings and striking out five while only allowing one hit.  He ran his fastball up to 79 mph and paired it with a 69 mph curveball and 74 mph slider.  He has a projectable frame and attacks hitters in the zone with all three pitches.  He would also add a single to right field at the plate.

 

Luke Fricker (2022 OF, Kansas City, MO) showed good bat-to-ball skills today, recording a pair of singles. He was able to record these hits in large part due to his strong hands.  He barreled the first one up for a hard ground ball past the shortstop and was able to muscle a tough pitch out into left for his other single.

 

Gavin Fuemmeler (2022 OF, Troy, KS) did a lot of damage at the plate today, driving in two runs on screaming line drive over the third baseman’s head.  He would go on and single to left again in his second at bat.  He has a fluid swing and looks to do damage to pitches that are left over the inner half.

 

Mario Napolitano (2022 3B, Ames, IA) made the most of his opportunities today, going 3-for-3 at the plate and driving in a run.  He showed good balance and the ability to be on time, sending two of the singles sharply back up the middle.  He does a nice job keeping his weight back and utilizing the entire field.

 

Andrew Sharpe (2022 RHP, Chesterfield, MO) was too much for hitters on the mound today, dominating for three innings and striking out six without allowing a hit along the way.  He went after hitters with his fastball that was up to 85 mph and put them away with his curveball that has two plane shape and sat at 74 mph.  Hitters had little chance with the late break that the curve showed paired with the ability to locate the fastball.

 

Kuyper Kendall (2022 SS, Overland Park, KS) showed off the power in his first at bat, jumping all over an 0-1 fastball and driving it into the left center field gap.  He is a strong player that is able to create a lot of whip through the zone, allowing the ball to jump off his bat.  He is also able to generate backspin on his hits, causing the ball to carry into the outfield.

 

Ronnie (RJ) Ross Jr (2024 1B, Kansas City, KS) got all of fastball that was left over the plate in his second at bat, burning the center fielder for a double.  He has a large frame with present strength and is able to utilize it in his swing.  He is a hitter that looks for mistakes, like the one in this at bat, and is able to take advantage of them.

 

Garrett Shull (2024 SS, Enid, OK) brought the heat in his one inning on the mound, sitting 82-86 mph with his fastball.  He filled the zone up with the heater and kept hitters off balance with his 67 mph curveball.  The Oklahoma State commit showed two-way potential, barreling a hard line drive to left field.  He would also go on to show the skills with the glove, making a nice defensive play on a slow roller while at third base.

 

Christopher Mancinas (2024 SS, Kansas City, KS) showed good barrel control today, going 2-for-3 with a pair of singles.  He would also go on to score a run.  He does a nice job utilizing his lower half, firing his hips and generating pop off the bat.  His solid fundamentals at the plate will serve him well has he continues to improve and develop physically.
1-Gold vs. 2-Green Game Highlights

Hudson Day (2024 1B, Overland Park, KS) was a spark at the plate today, going 2-for-3 with a pair of singles and a run scored.  He showed the ability to use the entire field, spraying the ball to both sides.  He was aggressive at the plate, swinging the bat early in the count, and it paid off for him.

 

Ethan Hampton (2025 OF, Overland Park, KS) showed good discipline at the plate, working a full count before drilling a ball to center field for an easy double.  He has a tall frame with long levers that projects well as he continues to develop and add strength.

 

Sawyer Allen (2022 LHP, Platte City, MO) was incredible on the mound during his three innings of work today, striking out five without allowing a hit.  His fastball sat 80-82 mph for most of the outing and he paired it with a curveball that had 11-5 shape and sat 72 mph.  He went after hitters, forcing them to swing the bat.

 

Tyeler Hill (2023 RHP, Kansas City, MO) had an impressive outing on the mound as well, working three innings and striking out five without allowing a hit.  He was throwing a heavy fastball that sat 80-83 mph that hitters could not make contact with.  He paired this heavy offering with a curveball that sat 72 mph and kept hitters off balance all game.

 

Henry Cordes (2024 RHP, Chesterfield, MO) was strong on the mound during his three innings, recording three strikeouts and only allowing one hit.  He fires from a low ¾ arm slot that allows his fastball to run in on right-handed hitters while sitting 80-83 mph.  His most effective pitch today was his wipeout slider that was generating all kinds of swings and misses while sitting at 71 mph.

5-Royal vs. 6-White Game Highlights

Chase Brock (2022 3B, St Charles, MO) was incredible at the plate all day today, going 4-for-4 with a triple to right center field.  He showed good patience and the ability to fight off tough pitches, working long counts in two of his at bats before ending them with singles.  He ended the game with a solid line drive to right for a single in a nice piece of hitting.

 

Norman Davis Jr (2024 C, Kansas City, KS) tallied a pair of singles in hit chances today, going 2-for-4 with an RBI.  He has long levers that will help him hit for power from the left side as he develops and adds strength.

 

Brylan Haas (2022 OF, Overland Park, KS) did a little bit of everything today, showing the skills with the bat and also showing off the arm from the outfield.  He went 2-for-4 at the dish with an RBI double down the right field line that was a screaming grounder past the first baseman.  He would go on to throw a runner out at the plate to end the inning later in the game.

 

Brooks Kettering (2023 SS, Springfield, MO) put his smooth swing from the left side to use today, jumping all over a high fastball that resulted in a triple dow the right field line.  He has a balanced swing and is aggressive towards pitches in the zone that he wants to hit.

 

Chase Rosen (2023 C, Lenexa, KS) was right on time today, lacing two singles back up the middle for base hits.  He is an athletic player with twitchy movements that has quick hands and the ability to generate pop off the barrel.  

 

LJ Deniz Carpenter (2025 OF, Topeka, KS) showed good balance at the plate, sitting back on an outer half curveball before sending it deep into right center for a double.  He has good barrel control and matches the plane of the pitch well, enabling him to make hard contact consistently.

 

Johnny McArthur (2022 RHP, Kirkwood, MO) impressed on the mound today, filling up the zone with his fastball and his curveball in his limited outing.  He has a projectable frame and will continue to see velocity increases as he develops and adds strength.
