Chase Beggs (2016 - Hokes Bluff, AL) had a base hit for the Green team in the last game of the showcase. Beggs also showed a strong arm across the diamond and the ability to play all positions in the infield.
Evan Hoyt (2015 - Menomonie, WI) was also competitive in the box, collecting a base hit in the third inning.
Jabari Richards (2015 - Fayetteville, GA) had a dominant performance on the mound, striking out six batters in two innings of work. The left-hander was 81-83 MPH with his fastball, topping out at 84 MPH. He also showed feel for his 71 MPH curveball that had good bite and shape. His arm works well, it is loose and quick and the ball comes out clean.
Tristin English (2015 - Williamson, GA) finished off an impressive weekend with another solid performance. The Georgia Tech commit singled and scored in the fifth inning after topping out at 92 MPH from the mound yesterday.
Phillip Pimble (2014 - Bronx, NY) had two hits for the White team, a double and a single, while also scoring a run. The lefty has good strength and quick hands at the plate.
William Marion (2015 - Boca Raton, FL) struck out three batters in his two innings of work. Marion's fastball was up to 81 MPH with sink, while he threw his curveball at 68 MPH. He has good feel for the 1/7 breaking ball and he can throw it for strikes.
Stetson Scott (2015 - Clayton, GA) showed a clean delivery and arm speed while topping out at 82 MPH with his fastball. He used two off-speed pitches effectively. Scott's 69 MPH curveball has good spin and shape and he also threw a good change-up at 73 MPH with run and sink. After pitching, he had a base hit and registered a stolen base.
Hunter Green (2015 - Columbus, GA) picked up two hits in the final game. He also showed good instincts on the bases, scoring a run in the 10th inning.
Austin Chastang (2016 - Bay Minette, AL) ran his fastball up to 86 MPH with an 11/5 CB at 70 MPH and a 75 MPH change-up. The rising junior has a strong, big frame that could lead to more velocity in the future. Working primarily from the stretch, he has a firm front side with extension in his delivery.
