Team Elite Prime scored five runs in the bottom of the third, and advanced to the championship game of the 2014 16U BCS Finals in a 9-3 victory over Florida Burn Pennant.
Austin Wilhite (2016, Buford HS, GA) drove in four runs, scored another, and had two hits in the semifinal victory. Aaron Schunk (2016, The Lovett School, GA) drove in two more runs, and Nick Wilhite (2016, Buford HS, GA) added one run batted in. Austin Wilhite, Zachary Miller (2016, Mountain View HS, GA), and Branden Fryman (2016, JM Tate HS, FL) each had two hits, while William Holland (2016, Collins Hill HS, GA) and Fryman each scored three runs in the win.
Johnathan Jahn (2016, Westside HS, GA) earned the win for Elite Prime, striking out five hitters and allowed three runs on five hits. His fastball topped out at 87 mph. Nate Richardson (2016, Hillgrove HS, GA) worked 2.1 innings scoreless, allowing three hits with no strikeouts. His fastball peaked at 83 mph.
The Burn were led by Parke Phillips (2016, Out-of-Door Academy, FL), Tyler Dyson (2016, Braden River HS, FL), and Gabriel Lozada (2016, IMG Academy, FL), who each drove in one run. Phillips had a team-high two hits, while Dyson, Johnnie Schneider (2015, Calvary Christian School, FL), and Nick Ortega (2016, Jesuit HS, FL) scored the team’s three runs.
