Elite Squad Prime Wins Championship

Elite Squad Prime never trailed, and won the 2014 16U BCS Finals Championship with a 10-0 victory over Team Elite Prime.

The damage for Elite Squad Prime began in the top of the first inning, when two runs scored. The opening run scored on a single with two outs from Mike Amiditis (2016, Boca Raton Community HS, FL), which brought Miami commit Gregory Veliz (2016, Key West HS, FL) to the plate. Then, a bases loaded walk to Zach Jackson (2017, Haines City HS, FL) allowed Amiditis to score, making the score 2-0.

Ten hitters were sent to the plate in a five-run fourth inning that allowed Elite Squad Prime to pull away. A Landon Silver (2016, Westminster Christian School, FL) single allowed Alejandro Toral (2017, Archbishop McCarthy HS, FL) to score to increase the lead to three. Elite Squad Prime would then get three more RBI singles from Brandon Chinea (2016, Florida Christian School, FL), Clint Gulley (2016, Westminster Christian School, FL), and Eric Rivera (2016, Flanagan HS, FL). A second bases loaded walk, this one to Veliz, made the score 7-0.

The lead widened again in the sixth inning, as Elite Squad Prime scored three more runs. The first run was scored on a double from Steven Revilla (2016, West Broward HS, FL), and Silver scored on the next pitch, a passed ball. Rivera singled in the next at-bat to score Revilla and make the score 10-0.

Team Elite Prime managed just X hits, shut down by Nick McDonald (2016, West Broward HS, FL). McDonald went the full six innings, and struck out six hitters. His fastball topped out at 83 mph.

Team Elite Prime Advances to Championship

Team Elite Prime scored five runs in the bottom of the third, and advanced to the championship game of the 2014 16U BCS Finals in a 9-3 victory over Florida Burn Pennant.

Austin Wilhite (2016, Buford HS, GA) drove in four runs, scored another, and had two hits in the semifinal victory. Aaron Schunk (2016, The Lovett School, GA) drove in two more runs, and Nick Wilhite (2016, Buford HS, GA) added one run batted in. Austin Wilhite, Zachary Miller (2016, Mountain View HS, GA), and Branden Fryman (2016, JM Tate HS, FL) each had two hits, while William Holland (2016, Collins Hill HS, GA) and Fryman each scored three runs in the win.

Johnathan Jahn (2016, Westside HS, GA) earned the win for Elite Prime, striking out five hitters and allowed three runs on five hits. His fastball topped out at 87 mph. Nate Richardson (2016, Hillgrove HS, GA) worked 2.1 innings scoreless, allowing three hits with no strikeouts. His fastball peaked at 83 mph.

The Burn were led by Parke Phillips (2016, Out-of-Door Academy, FL), Tyler Dyson (2016, Braden River HS, FL), and Gabriel Lozada (2016, IMG Academy, FL), who each drove in one run. Phillips had a team-high two hits, while Dyson, Johnnie Schneider (2015, Calvary Christian School, FL), and Nick Ortega (2016, Jesuit HS, FL) scored the team’s three runs.

Elite Squad Prime Moves on to Championship

Elite Squad Prime were the first team to punch their ticket to the championship game of the 2014 16U BCS Finals, holding on to a 5-4 victory over MBA Pride Elite on Wednesday.

Miami recruits Gregory Veliz (2016, Key West HS, FL) and Colton Welker (2016, Marjory Stoneman Douglas HS, FL) each drove in two runs, and Derek Cartaya (2016, Somerset Academy Charter, FL) added one run batted in. Cartaya and Welker led the team with two hits, and Cartaya was the only player to score two runs on the game, and he also added a double.

Veliz started the game for Elite Squad Prime, and allowed two earned runs with two strikeouts. His fastball peaked at 92 mph. Zach Jackson (2017, Haines City HS, FL) earned the win for 2.2 scoreless innings, and he struck out one hitter. His fastball topped out at 85 mph. Tyler Santana (2016, Coral Gables HS, FL) added one scoreless inning, and his fastball reached 86 mph.

The three Pride runs were driven in by Alec Sanchez (2018, Providence HS, FL), Alabama State commit MJ Melendez (2017, St. James HS, AL), and Tucker Bradley (2016, Gordon Lee HS, GA). Chase Sanguinetti (2018, Jesuit HS, FL) and Donnie Gleneski (2016, Bishop Kenny HS, FL) added one hit each, while Jose Ciccarello (2017, Alonso HS, FL) and Logan Allen (2017, University HS, FL) each scored one run in the losing effort.

Allen took the loss on the mound, allowing five runs (three earned) over five innings. He struck out five hitters, and walked just one. His fastball peaked at 81 mph. Jordan Ely struck out two hitters in a hitless, scoreless inning, and his fastball reached 82 mph.

Elite Squad Sluggers Roll to Second Round

The Elite Squad Slugger used a six-run fifth inning to ice the game as they roll to a 11-4 win over the South Tampa Prospects in six innings. The Sluggers powered their way to 14 team hits and were led by Tyler Waters (2016, Creekside HS, FL) and Jordan Hill (2016, Coral Springs Christian Academy, FL). Both players knocked in homers with Waters finishing 2-4 at the plate with three RBIs and a run scored from his two-run homer in the bottom of the fifth as Hill added in a 1-3 game at the plate with two RBIs and a run scored from his two-run shot in the fifth. The Prospects were sparked to seven team hits by Parker Wessel (2017, Jesuit HS, FL) and his 2-3 game in the batter's box with an RBI.

The Elite Squad dug deep in the bullpen, putting four different pitchers on the mound with Ryan Moralejo (2016, Ransom Everglades HS, FL) picking up the win. Moralejo tossed two innings and allowed one hit and no runs while walking two and striking out one, lacking polish on his delivery and velocity on his pitches. 

With the win the Elite Squad Slugger (6-1-0) advance to the second round of the playoffs to take on the MBA Pride Elite (6-1-0). The South Tampa Prospects are eliminated following the loss, finishing with a record of 4-2-1

Team Demarini Survives, Advances

Team Demarini Puerto Rico survived a first inning onslaught from the SACSN National Team, answering a five-run first inning from SACSN with four in the first of their own on their way to a 9-5 win. Team Demarini limited the SACSN offense to only two hits despite the five runs, and were led offensively by Jomar San Inocencio (2015, Colegio Carmen del Sol, PR). Inocencio had a perfect game at the plate, finishing 2-2 with an RBI and a game-high three runs scored with a double, a walk and a double play on defense. 

Angel Reyes (2015, Escuela Papa Juan 23 Especializada, PR) minimized the damage done in the first inning with strong pitching the rest of the game, allowing one hit and no runs while walking four and striking out four. Reyes showed sound mechanics and solid arm action, but throws across his body losing command of a fastball averaging 82 mph and topping out at 85 mph.

With the win, Team Demarini Puerto Rico (7-0-0) advances to the second round of the playoffs to pit their undefeated record against Chain Gold (5-1-1). SACSN is eliminated following the loss, finishing with a record of (4-3-0).

Cougars Prevail in Back and Forth Game

The 643 DP Cougars Sterling and the Ostingers Baseball Academy Select battled in a game featuring four lead changes, with the Cougars standing victorious 6-3. The Cougars were powered to nine hits from six different players by Drake Frix (2016, Darlington HS, GA). Frix had a perfect game at the plate, finishing 3-3 with a double. 

Jay Shadday (2016, Darlington HS, GA) picked up the win for the Cougars for his two and two thirds innings on the mound to close out the game. Shadday allowed two hits and no runs while walking two and striking out six with a fastball averaging 83 mph and topping out at 85 mph.

JJ Niekro (2016, Jesuit HS, FL) took the loss for the Select after his two innings on the mound. Niekro allowed four hits and three runs, none earned, while walking none and striking out two with a fastball averaging 82 mph and topping out at 85 mph.

With the win the 643 DP Cougars Sterling (7-0-0) pit their undefeated record against the Frozen Ropes Badarack (6-1-0). The Ostingers Baseball Academy Select are eliminated following the loss, finishing with a record of 4-3-0

Chain Gold Start Fast in Win

Chain Gold started out fast, scoring three runs in the first inning on their way to a 7-3 win over the Beyel Brothers Bulldogs. The Bulldogs outhit Chain Gold by a wide margin 10-5, but lost the RBI battle by a margin of 7-2 to be the difference in the game. JD Hawthorne (2016, Frostproof HS, FL) powered the Chain Gold offense with a 2-3 game at the plate with a game-high three RBIs, a run scored and a stolen base. Dylan Owens (2016, Cocoa HS, FL) led the way for the Bulldogs, logging a perfect 2-2 game at the plate with an RBI and a walk.

Tanner Hall (2016, Houston County HS, GA) took home the win for Chain Gold for his five and two thirds innings on the mound. Hall allowed seven hits and one earned run while both walking and striking out three, showing control all around the plate with flashes of curveball potential and a fastball averaging 78 mph and topping out at 82 mph.

With the win, Chain Gold (5-1-1) advances to the second round of the playoffs to take on undefeated Team Demarini Puerto Rico (7-0-0). The Beyel Brothers Bulldogs are eliminated following the loss, finishing with a record of 3-3-1

MBA Pride Ride Defense Past Bullets

The MPA Pride Elite leaned on a strong day defensively and from the mound on their way to a 4-0 shutout win over the Mid-Ohio Bullets Blue. The Pride needed eight hits from eight different players to get to their four hits, showing that balance throughout their lineup was key in the win. 

Robert Turon (2017, Gulliver Schools, FL) proved to be key in the Pride Elite win, going the distance on the mound and allowing six hits but no runs while walking none and striking out four, finding the strike zone on 72 percent of his pitches. Turon showed an online, balanced delivery with easy arm action on a fastball averaging 81 mph and topping out at 86 mph.

Cody Gabriel (2016, Upper Sandusky HS, OH) took the loss for the Bullets following five innings on the mound, allowing four hits and two runs, one earned, while walking three and striking out two. Gabriel showed command on both sides of the plate and sound mechanics on a fastball averaging 79 mph and topping out at 82 mph.

With the win the MPA Pride Elite (6-1-0) advance to the second round of playoffs to take on the Elite Squad Slugger (6-1-0). The Mid-Ohio Bullets Blue are eliminated from the tournament following the loss, finishing with a record of 5-2-0.

Pennant Advance With Easy WIn

The Florida Burn Pennant used a five-run fifth inning to ice the game and take the easy win 9-3 over SWFL. Pennant used 11 team hits from seven different players on offense and was led by Alex Crotty (2016, Bishop Moore HS, FL). Crotty finished 2-3 at the plate with two RBIs, a walk and a run scored with a double. 

Nick Long (2016, Sarasota HS, FL) took home the win for Pennant for his five innings on the mound. Long allowed three hits and three runs, all earned, while walking two and striking out three showing sound mechanics and a smooth delivery on a fastball averaging 84 mph and topping out at 87 mph. 

Zac Uecker (2016, North Port HS, FL) is credited with the loss for SWFL for his one and two thirds innings on the mound. Uecker allowed three hits and five runs, three earned, while walking four and striking out one.

With the win the Florida Burn Pennant (6-1-0) advance to the second round of playoffs to take on the Florida Surge (5-1-1). SWFL is eliminated from the tournament following the loss, finishing with a record of 5-2-0

Team Elite Prime beat Marucci Elite H.

Marucci Elite Houston Red outdone by Cameron Hankins (Mountain View, Dacula, GA 2016) and Team Elite Prime, 8-3 in the quarterfinals. Hankins went 4-4 for the game to help Team Elite Prime get the victory. He doubled in the first inning with a single in the third and fourth innings, and homered in the sixth inning. Jake Sullivan (Durant, Valrico, FL 2016) had two extra-base hits for Marucci Elite Houston Red. He singled in the third inning and doubled in the first and fifth innings.

Aaron Schunk (The Lovett School, Decatur, GA 2016) recorded the win for Team Elite Prime. He allowed three runs over 5 2/3 innings with striking out three, walked two and gave up five hits. Tyler Galyean (Cy-Fair, Houston, TX 2016) was the ace pitcher for the Marucci Elite Houston Red. He tossed 3.1 innings worth while giving up seven hits, six runs, walking five, and striking out one. Galyean fastball range for the game was 76-82 mph. Schunk fastball range for the game 81-86 mph.

Florida Burn Pennant pulls away late for 10-3 victory over Team Demarini Puerto Rico in the quarterfinals. Rylan Thomas (West Orange, Winter Garden, FL 2016, UCF) reached base two times. He scored one run and had one RBI with a triple in the seventh inning. Antonio Muniz (Puerto Rico Baseball Academy/HS, Guaynabo, PR 2015) was the hot hitter for the Team Demarini Puerto Rico. He went 1-2 for the game and had one RBI. Florida Burn Pennant as a offense today had ten runs scored and ten hits.

Austin Bergner (Windermere Prep, Windermere, FL 2016) was in control on the mound. Team Demarini Puerto Rico managed just two hits off of Bergner. He allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out six during his four innings of work. Jorge Marcano (New Era Educational School, Tora Baja, PR 2016) was charged with the loss. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed three runs. Bergner fastball range for the game was 92-95 mph.

Elite Squad Prime drubs 643 DP Cougars Sterling, 8-1 victory for the quarterfinals. Alejandro had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. Tervont Johnson (Mays, Atlanta, GA 2016) was the hot hitter for 643 DP Cougars Sterling. He went 2-3 for the game. Elite Squad Prime as a offense today had eight runs scored with ten hits.

Anthony Masiello (North Broward Prep, Perland, FL 2016) got the win for Elite Squad Prime. He allowed one run over five innings with striking out three, walked one and gave up six hits. Josh Levy (Woodward Academy, Atlanta, GA 2016) ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision with getting the loss. MBA Pride Elite defeats Goose's Gamers after late game single, 8-3. Alec Sanchez (Providence, Jacksonville, FL 2018) had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He tripled in the first inning, singled in the third and fourth innings, and doubled in the sixth inning. Alexander Parkos (Xavier, Meriden, CT 2015) had a hot bat for Goose's Gamers. He went 3-4 with a single in the third and fifth innings and doubled in the seventh inning.

Tyler Myrick (Columbia, Lake City, FL 2016, Alabama State) got the win today for MBA Pride Elite. He allowed three runs over seven hits and three runs over seven innings.Alexander Parkos ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, with getting the loss. He allowed six runs in three innings, walked three and gave up eleven hits. Parkos fastball range for the game was 76-85 mph. Myrick fastball range for the game was 83-88 mph.

The Frozen Ropes Badarack scored three runs in the bottom of the first on their way to a 4-2 win over the East Cobb Orioles. The Frozen Ropes knocked in eight hits from seven players and were led on offense by Parker Noren (2016, Mckinney Boyd HS, TX). Noren went 2-3 at the plate with a run scored and a stolen base.

Braxton Webb (2016, Mckinney Boyd HS, TX) picked up the win for the Frozen Ropes for his five and a third innings on the mound. Webb allowed three hits and two runs, none earned, while walking five and striking out five with a fastball averaging 83 mph and topping out at 85 mph.

OTC Survive and Advance

OTC Baseball survived a late scare from the IBAHS Knights before taking the 5-4 win. Two errors in the sixth inning from OTC fielders loaded up the bases with one out before the OTC defense got out of the inning with no runs scored. Justin Stroud (2016, Mary Persons HS, GA) powered the OTC offense with a perfect 3-3 game at the plate with a run scored and a double. The Knights outhit OTC 10-9 and were led by Jonathon Nieves (2016, International Baseball Academy, PR) and his 2-3 game at the plate with an RBI, a run scored, a stolen base and a double. 

Orod Rodriquez (2016, Locust Grove HS, GA) picked up the win for OTC for his full game of six innings on the mound. Rodriquez allowed ten hits and four runs, all earned, while walking two and striking out six with a fastball averaging 80 mph and topping out at 82 mph.

With the win, OTC Baseball (5-1-1) advances to the second round of playoffs to take on the undefeated Elite Squad Prime (7-0-0). The IBAHS Knights are eliminated from the tournament following the loss and finish with a record of 2-5-0.

Gamers Cruise to 9-1 Win

Goose's Gamers rolled into the quarterfinals with an easy 9-1 win over the Jacksonville Warriors White in five innings. The Gamers knocked in nine hits from five players and were led offensively by Sam Cleland (2015, Masuk HS, CT). Cleland had a perfect game at the plate, finishing 2-2 with two RBIs and a run scored with a triple. 

Salvatore Gozzo (2016, Mark T. Sheehan HS, CT) took home the win for the Gamers for his four innings on the mound. Gozzo allowed five hits and one earned run while walking one and striking out seven with a fastball averaging 82 mph and topping out at 84 mph.

Matt Mixon (2016, Yulee HS, FL) is credited with the loss for the Warriors for his two and two thirds innings on the mound. Mixon allowed five hits and four runs, all earned, while walking none and striking out two with a fastball averaging 81 mph and topping out at 84 mph.

Goose's Gamers (5-2-0) advance to the second round of playoffs and will take on the Austin Banditos (5-2-0). The Jacksonville Warriors White have been eliminated following the loss, finishing with a record of 3-2-2.

Early Lead Gives Elite Squad Win

The Elite Squad Prime scored early and often, putting up at least two runs in every inning to take a 9-1 win over Team Elite Black in five innings. Prime knocked in eight runs from seven different players with five of those hits going for doubles. Colton Welker (2016, Majority Stoneman Douglas HS, FL), ranked 119th and a Miami commit, led the way on offense for the Elite Squad with a perfect 2-2 game at the plate with two RBIs, a double and a run scored. Chandler Powell (2016, Mountain View HS, GA) logged a 3-3 game at the plate to pick up half of Team Elite Black's six hits. 

Evan McKendry (2016, University School of Nova Southeastern University HS, FL) picked up the win for the Elite Squad for his full game of five innings on the mound. McKendy, a Top 1000 player,  allowed six hits and one earned run while walking one and striking out six, finding the strike zone on 71 percent of his pitches with a fastball averaging 83 mph and topping out at 88 mph.

Richard Shiver (2016, George Walton Academy, GA) took the loss for Team Elite for his three and two thirds innings on the mound. Shiver allowed eight hits and nine runs, four earned, while walking three and striking out two.

With the win, the undefeated Elite Squad (7-0-0) advance to the second round of playoffs and will take on OTC Baseball (5-1-1). Team Elite Black is eliminated following the loss, finishing with a record of 4-3-0

Banditos Win Sloppy Game 7-3

The Austin Banditos upset the previously undefeated Team Elite Roadrunners 7-3 in a game that saw almost as many errors as hits. The teams combined for nine hits and eight errors, five by the Roadrunners and three from the Banditos. Tristian Alkis (2016, Austin HS, TX), a High Follow, led the Banditos offense to six team hits with two of his own, finishing 2-3 at the plate with and RBI and a double. Kevin Strohscein (2015, George Walton Academy, GA), ranked 267th, led a struggling Roadrunners' offense, turning his 1-3 game at the plate into two RBIs with two fielding errors.

Mason Thompson (2016, Round Rock HS, TX) spent all seven innings on the mound for the Banditos and took home the win for his efforts, allowing three hits and three runs, one earned, while walking five and striking out eight. Thompson, ranked 28th and committed to the University of Texas, showed sound mechanics and good control and mound presence with a fastball averaging 87 mph and topping out at 90 mph.

With the win, the Banditos (5-2-0) advance to the second round of playoffs to take on Goose's Gamers (5-2-0). Team Elite Roadrunners are eliminated from the tournament following the loss, finishing with a record of 6-1-0.

Surge Advance With 5-2 Victory

The Florida Surge survived a sloppy game defensively, as the East Cobb Braves were unable to take advantage of four Surge fielding errors, and took the win 5-2. The Surge powered their way to 12 hits and were led offensively by Paul Mcintosh (2016, Dade Christian HS, FL). Mcintosh had a perfect game at the plate, finishing 3-3 with an RBI, a walk and two runs scored with two doubles. Dom Paolo (2016, Elev8 Sports Institute, FL) added in a game-high four RBIs for the Surge with a 2-3 game at the plate.

The Braves didn't go quietly into submission, knocking in eight hits and were led on offense by Jacob Jones (2016, Harrison HS, GA) and his 2-3 game at the plate with a run scored.

Shendell Winright (2014, Royal Palm Beach HS, FL) tossed all seven innings for the Surge and was rewarded with the win for his efforts. Winright allowed eight hits and two runs, neither earned, while walking two and striking out three with a fastball averaging 79 mph and topping out at 84 mph.

With the win, the Florida Surge (5-1-1) advance to the second round of playoffs to take on the Florida Burn Pennant (6-1-0), With the loss, the East Cobb Braves are eliminated with a record of 5-2-0.

Team Elite Advance with Huge First Inning

Team Elite Prime used a huge seven-run first inning to take control and the win over the Glen Allen Xtreme 8-0 in five innings. The Elite needed eight hits to get their eight runs and were powered offensively from a trio of Nick Wilhite (2016, Buford HS, GA), Austin Wilhite (2016, Buford HS, GA) and William Holland (2016, Collins Hill HS, GA). Holland, a Top 1000 player, led the way with a perfect 2-2 game at the plate with two RBIs and two runs scored with a double. Both Wilhites added in two hits and a run scored, with Austin, ranked 120, picking up two RBIs, a double  and a double play while Nick, ranked 121, had one RBI. The Xtreme offense struggled to get going and logged only three hits.

Griffin Jolliff (2016, Buford HS, GA) picked up the win for the Elite for his one inning to start off the game. Joliff, a High Follow, allowed no hits or runs with no walks or strikeouts on ten pitches with a fastball averaging 83 mph and topping out at 86 mph.

Team Elite Prime (7-0-0) will advance to the second round of playoffs to take on Cole Murphy and the Triple Crown Warriors (4-3-0). With the loss, the Glen Allen Xtreme have been eliminated with a record of 4-3-0.

Cole Murphy Powers Warriors to Advance

The Triple Crown Warriors got help from Top 500 player Cole Murphy (2015, Walnut Hills HS, OH) and powered their way into the next round of playoffs with a 7-3 win over SCORE International. Murphy powered the offense to nine team hits with three of his own, finishing the game 3-4 at the plate while picking up two RBIs and two runs scored with a triple. Ben Pelletier (2016, Quebec, Canada) sparked the SCORE offense with a 2-3 effort while picking up a run scored with two doubles.

The Warrior bullpen dug deep, putting four pitchers on the mound with Jackson Burton (2016, Anderson HS, OH) picking up the win for his one and a third innings on the mound. Burton allowed one hit and no runs while walking three and striking out two with a fastball averaging 79 mph and topping out at 81 mph.

Ryan Wall (2015, East Lake HS, FL) took the loss for SCORE International for his four innings on the mound. Wall allowed five hits and four runs, two earned, while walking one and striking out four, finding the strike zone on 74 percent of his pitches with a fastball averaging 79 mph and topping out at 81 mph.

The Triple Crown Warriors (4-3-0) will advance to the second round of playoffs and take on the undefeated Team Elite Prime (7-0-0). SCORE International has been eliminated with the loss, finishing (4-2-1).

Chain Black Advance in Rout

Chain Black scored early and often, knocking six runs in the first in a rout of the Elite Squad TPX and taking the win 13-1 in four innings to advance. The Chain Black offense knocked in 12 hits from eight different players and were led offensively by the duo of Alex Vanderstok (2016, Northside HS, GA) and Chris Bashlor (2016, Calvary Baptist Day HS, GA). Vanderstok powered his way to a perfect 3-3 game at the plate with a game-high three RBIs and two runs scored with a double. Bashlor complemented with a perfect 2-2 effort and picked up an RBI and two runs scored with two doubles and two double plays on defense. 

Both bullpens dug deep for success on the mound, with a combined seven different players from both teams logging at least two-thirds of an inning. Tony Locey (2016, Hardaway HS, GA) took the win for Chain Black for his two-thirds of an inning on the mound to start off the game. The Marucci Elite Houston survived a late three-run rally from the Indiana Prospects and took the game 6-5 with a walk-off bases-loaded single from John Henry Gonzalez (2016, Edinburg HS, TX). Gonzalez led the way for the Elite offense, finishing the game 2-3 with the game winning RBI to power the Elite offense to seven team hits from six players. Julian Ossias (2015, Bloomingdale HS, FL) sparked the Prospects offense with a 2-3 effort and two runs scored.

Gonzalez also tossed five and a third innings, allowing five hits and five runs, three earned, while walking four and striking out four while showing good mechanics and control all around the plate with his pitches and a fastball averaging 85 mph and topping out at 90 mph.


Marucci Elite Houston Red Survives Rally

Marucci Elite Houston Red led 7-0, allowed seven runs in the seventh inning, but then walked off in the bottom of the eighth for an 8-7 victory over Chain Black.

John Henry Gonzalez (2016, Edinburg HS, TX) led the team with two RBI’s, while Dallas Baptist commit Garrett Wolforth (2016, Concordia Lutheran HS, TX) added the game-winner, a walk. Four players had two hits in the victory, and three players scored two runs each.

Tyler Galyean (2016, Cy-Fair HS, TX) earned the win for Marucci for his one inning of work. His fastball peaked at 81 mph.

Other than McWhorter’s homer, offense was supplied by an RBI from Zachary Miller (2016, Mountain View HS, GA), a run scored from Nick Wilhite (2016, Buford HS, GA), and a hit from William Holland (2016, Collins Hill HS, GA).

The Banditos of Austin held on for a 5-4 win Monday against the East Cobb Orioles.  

Cade McDonald (2016, Pflugerville, TX) went 2.0 innings and was the winning pitcher in the contest.  McDoland had 1 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, and 1 K.  His fastball touched 78 mph and he does a good job of hitting all parts of the plate.  Jake Velasco (2016, Cedar Park, TX) and Patrick Bannister (2016, Round Rock, TX) both went 1-2 with a RBI for the Banditos.  

Ryan Bauer (2016, Round Rock, TX) tossed 5.0 innings for the Banditos.  Bauer struck out three and flashed an 82 mph fastball.  His 73 mph change up gave opposing hitters a difficult time.  

Clay Davis (2016, Suwanee, GA) went 2-2 with two RBIs and a stolen base for the Orioles.  Tyler Welch (2016, Roswell, GA) went 2-3 and scored one run.

Early lead gives the East Cobb Orioles easy victory over Florida Pokers Underclass Navy, 11-5 victory. Cameron Collett (Creekview, Canton, GA 2015) had two extra-base hits for the East Cobb Orioles. He tripled in the first inning, doubled in the fifth inning, and singled in the second and seventh innings. The East Cobb Orioles' Kenneth Hartzfield (The Westmeier Schools, Marietta, GA 2016), Clay and Cameron combined for seven hits and three hits.

The Beyel Brothers Bulldogs and the South Tampa Prospects battled to a 0-0 draw Monday.  Austin Dennis (2015, Rockledge, FL) tossed the complete game for the Bulldogs.  Dennis recorded an impressive 12 strikeouts and allowed just two hits and one walk.  The right-hander does a great job at setting up his hitters and changes up speeds well.  His fastball sat at 84-85 mph and touched 86 mph.  

Brady Martello (2016, Rockledge, FL) went 2-3 for the Bulldogs and Michael Pineda (2016, New Port Richey, FL) went 1-2.

With two outs, Team Elite rallied in the 5th breaking the 0-0 tie.  Following a Kent Baldy (2016, Buford, GA) walk, Chandler Powell (2016, Lawrenceville, GA) recorded an infield single.  Blake Fraley (2016, Marietta, GA) followed with a triple to centerfield to make the score 2-0.  Freddy Archecar (2016, Atlanta, GA) also had a single and a RBI in the inning.  Fraley and Powell finished with two hits on the day.  

Kevin Norton (2016, McDonough, GA) went 1-1 with a triple for Team Elite.

Team Elite Roadrunners used a big nine-run fourth inning to cushion it's lead, and go on to defeat Team Bownet Tampa Bay Warriors, 10-1.

Trey Cabbage (2015, Grainger HS, TN) a Tennessee commit, sparked the Roadrunner offense, going 2-2 at the plate with a homerun, one run scored, and three RBIs.  Leadoff hitter Jahmai Jones (2015, Wesleyan HS, NC) a UNC commit, went 1-1 with a triple, two runs scored, and one RBI.  Kole Cottam (2015, Knoxville Catholic, TN) also contributed with a triple and three RBIs in the game.  Cam Shepherd (2016, Peachtree Ridge HS, GA) also provided to the offense with a double.

On the mound, Adam Moore (2015, Kings Ridge Christian, GA) pitched four complete innings, giving up one earned run on three hits, and displayed a fastball that averaged 82-84 and topped out at 85, while also mixing in a handful of off-speed pitches.

Triple Crown Warriors scored in each of the game’s first four innings, and claimed an 11-6 victory over South Florida Prospects on Monday at Terry Park in Fort Myers.

Alec DeBruler (2016, Archbishop Moeller HS, OH) drove in three runs, while Bobby Brokamp (2016, Walnut Hills HS, OH) and Brogan Williams (2016, Anderson HS, OH) added two runs batted in. Those three players, as well as Dustin Parsons (2016, Anderson HS, OH) had two hits, while Jackson Murphy (2017, Clark Montessori HS, OH) led the team with three runs scored.

Kyle Ruehlman (2016, Milford HS, OH) tossed a complete game with four strikeouts for the Warriors. His fastball peaked at 84 mph.

The offensive leader for the Cougars was Patrick McDonald (2016, Woodbury Forest HS, GA), who scored a run and drove in two more. Jake Howard (2016, Lagrange HS, GA) scored two runs, and Pete Derkay (2016, Allatoona HS, GA) and Rutty Jones (2015, Mt. Paran Christian School, GA) recorded two hits in the victory.

The winning pitcher for the Cougars was Joe Taylor (2016, Marist HS, GA), who allowed one hit over three innings with six strikeouts. His fastball topped out at 82 mph. Matthew Norton (2016, Mt. Tony Mejias (2016, Felix Varela HS, FL) had the only two-hit game, while Hector Vazquez (2016, Felix Varela HS, FL) and Mike Rodriguez (2016, Miami Sunset HS, FL) each scored a run in the tie.

The Austin Banditos defeated Team Tampa Bay 6-0, thanks to strong pitching.

Kragen Kechely (2016, Vista Ridge HS, TX) pitched a complete game for the Banditos, giving up no earned runs, just three hits, and struck out three.  He had a fastball that averaged 78-80 mph and peaked at 83 mph, while also mixing in a handful of off-speed pitches.

At the plate, Kechely went 1-3 with two RBIs. leadoff Austin Todd (2016, Round Rock HS, TX) led the way.  Todd went 2-4 with a double and two runs scored.  Ricky Martinez (2016, Pflugerville HS, TX) went 2-2 with one run scored.

For Tampa, Bailey Carpenter (2017, Tampa Bay Tech, FL) went 1-2 with a stolen base in the game.

TigerTown K2Pro and the West Morris Minutemen end in a 2-2 tie.

For TigerTown, Joshua Lowe (2016, Pope HS, GA) led the way, going 1-3 at the plate with a double and one run sored.  Tyler Randolph (2017, Vero Beach HS, FL) also went 1-3 with one run scored and one RBI in the game.  Lowe also pitched three innings of work, giving up no earned runs, only four hits, and struck out eight.  He showed good command on both sides of the plate and had a fastball that topped out at 88 mph.  He also mixed in a good slider and a changeup as his off-speed pitches.

For the Minutemen, leadoff hitter August Samek (2017, Paramus Catholic, NJ) went 2-3 with one RBI.  Angelo Liu (2016, Delbarton HS, NJ) contributed with a double in the game.

Connor Smith's (Kingwood, Humble, TX 2016) effort not enough in BPT Hurricanes's 5-2 loss. Connor paced BPT Hurricanes at the plate. He went 1-2 and scored one run with a single in the second inning. Banditos North's Christopher Perez (Cy-Fair, Cypress, TX 2016) was perfect at the dish today, going 1-1. He singled in the fourth inning.

Banditos North had no answer for Connor. He kept runners off the bases during his innings. Banditos North only managed just one hit off the BPT Hurricanes' pitcher. He allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out one during his 1 2/3 innings of work. Banditos North relied on Jake Johnson (Ridge Point, Missouri City, TX 2016) to eat up innings to help them get the victory. He tossed seven innings worth while allowing one earned run, three hits and one walk while striking out none. Benjamin Barnes (Bellaire, Houston, TX 2016) took the loss for BPT Hurricanes. He lasted just 3 1/3 innings, walked three, struck out one and allowed three runs. Barnes fastball range for the game was 77-81 mph.

Runs were driven in for the Blue Sox by Cole Ibsen (2016, Fort Payne HS, AL), Lucas Bryant (2015, Fort Payne HS, AL), and Andrew Reed (2016, Mt. Brook HS, AL). Reed led the team with two hits, and Austin Bolander (2016, Oxford HS, AL) scored a team-high two runs.

Jose Ciccarello (2017, Alonso HS, FL) bashed a home run for the Pride, ending his game with three runs batted in, two runs scored, two hits, and three stolen bases. Donnie Glenski (2016, Bishop Kenny HS, FL) added two runs batted in, while Alec Sanchez (2018, Providence HS, FL) and Alabama State commit MJ Melendez (2017, St. James HS, AL) drove in one. Team Elite Roadrunners defeated Florida Pokers Underclass by a 6-1 mark at the 2014 16u BCS Finals.

Cobie Vance (2015, Pine Forest HS, NC), an Alabama commit, logged two scoreless innings of relief for the Roadrunners, punching out three batters without conceding a walk or hit with a 83-87 MPH fastball that showed riding life and 74-76 MPH slider with tight, late breaking action. Vance also led the offensive attack for Team Elite, going 1-for-1 with a double, run scored, run batted in and walk. Jahmai Jones (2015, Wesleyan HS, GA), a UNC commit, went 2-for-2 with a double and stolen base as Team Elite's leadoff hitter.

Matthew Cronin (2016, Navarre HS, FL) logged three one-run innings on the mound for Florida Pokers Underclass in which he struck out four, walked three and conceded just one hit. Cronin utilized an over-the-top arm angle and sat 82-84 MPH with his arm-side run fastball in the outing and showed a 73-75 MPG curveball with late 11/5 breaking action. Brokamp added four hits, and Alec DeBruler (2016, Archbishop Moeller HS, OH) scored two runs in the victory.

Dylan Smith (2016, Anderson HS, OH) tossed a complete game, allowing one unearned run on two hits. He struck out four hitters over five innings, and his fastball topped out at 83 mph.

The seventh inning rally began with two singles and a walk to load the bases. Jorge Soto (2016, International Baseball Academy, PR) drilled a double to left field, scoring two runs. After a strikeout, Sergio Burgos (2016, International Baseball Academy, PR) hit a sacrifice fly to bring in the third run. The game was tied on a Julio Canales (2016, International Baseball Academy, PR) double, and Delvin Perez (2016, International Baseball Academy, PR) walked off on another double.

Diego Colon (2016, International Baseball Academy, PR) tossed a scoreless five innings, allowing four hits with one strikeout in the win. His fastball peaked at 75 mph.

Nicolls went the distance for Naperville, allowing 0 runs on just 2 hits. Over his 7 innings of work, Nicolls struck out 7 batters. His fastball reached as high as 79 mph in his start.

Nicolls also had a great day on offense, going 2-3 with 3 runs scored and 2 RBI. Will Drake (2016, Neuqua Valley HS, IL) and Michael Mlotek (2016, Naperville Central HS, IL) joined Nicolls in collecting 2 hits each. Drake also scored a run and had 1 RBI, and Mlotek scored once. Zachary Cable (2016, River Ridge HS, GA), Drake Frix (2016, Darlington HS, GA), and Tervont Johnson (2016, Mays HS, GA) drove in 1 run each for the winners. 

Patrick McDonald (2016, Woodberry Forest HS, GA) started the game on the mound for 643 DP and pitched a complete game to earn the victory. McDonald allowed 2 runs on 5 hits and struck out 8 batters. He threw hard in his outing, averaging a fastball velocity of 81-84 mph and reaching as high as 85 mph.

Chain Black defeated Team Rawlings Citius 9-0 in five innings. 

Wil Hodges (2016, Guyton, GA) got the scoring started with a bases clearing triple, and Shane Alberino (2015, Savannah, GA) helped with a two RBI single later in the game. Dusty Baker (2016, Clyo, GA) joined in with a pair of base knocks and a RBI. Chipper Wiley (2016, Savannah, GA) finished the game 1-2 with a RBI and a run.

Zachary Strickland (2016, Waycross, GA) took the mound and went three strong innings. He scattered two hits and didn't let a run score. He only walked one batter and struck out six batters. He showed good command of all his pitches by throwing them around the plate. He stayed tall on his backside and uses his balanced delivery to his favor. With his over the top arm angle he blew batters away with his 88 mph with his fastball. 

Hunter Edwards (2016, Cypress, TX) and Norberto Cervantes (2017, Laredo, TX) were the only players for Team Rawlings to get a hit each.

The East Cobb Braves came back from a 3-0 deficit to beat the Florida Burn Gold on Sunday, 5-3. Lead-off hitter Patrick Martin (2016, Kennesaw Mountain HS, GA) paced the Braves offensively. Martin finished 1-2 with a double and 2 runs scored. Sterling Turmon (2016, St. Joseph Catholic HS, SC) joined Martin in hitting a double, as well. Turmon's extra-base hit drove in 1 run. 

Brian Peet (2016, Etowah HS, GA) pitched 5 innings in relief for East Cobb to earn the win. Peet allowed 0 runs on 3 hits, while striking out 3 batters. His fastball averaged a velocity of 77-81 mph and reached as high as 83 mph.

The Indiana Prospects rolled to a 15-3 win on Sunday afternoon over the Banditos of Austin. JJ Bleday (2016, Titusville HS, PA) had a huge day at the plate for the Indiana Prospects to lead the offense. Bleday slugged a home run and finished 2-2 with 2 runs scored and 3 RBI. Jack Dunn also had a great day at the dish. Dunn drove in 5 runs, scored twice, and doubled for the winners. Coy Cronk (2016, Central Catholic Jr Sr HS, IN) drove in 2 more runs to add to Indiana's lead. Bill Chillari (2016, St Augustine Preparatory HS, NJ) was effective in the lead-off spot in the game, scoring 3 runs.

Corbin Murray (2016, Lake Dallas HS, TX) also hit a 2-run double for the winners. Pro Source's other extra-base hit was collected by Ty Behringer (2016, Lake Dallas HS, TX), who was 1-1 with a stolen base, 2 RBI, and 2 runs scored.

OTC Baseball scored 4 runs in the top of the seventh-inning to overcome a 4-0 deficit and tie Palm Beach Select, 4-4. Palm Beach failed to score in the bottom half of the inning and ended the game in a tie. Donald Hammond III (2016, Luella HS, GA) led the OTC offense with a 2-run triple. Hammond finished 1-3 and also scored a run. OTC's other extra-base hit was collected by Orod Rodriguez (2016, Locust Grove HS, GA), who slugged a double. Justin Stroud (2016, Mary Persons HS, GA) and Trevor Evans (2017, Warner Robins Christian Academy, GA) drove in 1 run each.

Palm Beach Select's offense was propelled by Zachary Gottfried (2016, Jensen Beach HS, FL), who was 1-3 with a double. Richard Bowden (2016, Jupiter HS, FL) drove in 2 of his team's 4 runs, as well.

Garrett Wolforth (2016, Concordia Lutheran HS, TX) also had a big 3-run single for Houston Red. Emanuel Wooten (2016, Cypress Ridge HS, TX) scored twice, as well.

Beau Buchanan (2016, Naperville Central HS, IL) led Naperville at the plate, going 2-3 with a double. Christian Barczi (2016, Naperville North HS, IL) had the teams big hit, smashing a 2-run single. Lean Marrero (2015, Leadership Christian Academy HS, PR) led Demarini Puerto Rico at the plate with a 3-3 game. Marrero smashed a double and 2 triples, and drove in 2 runs. He also scored once in the win. The other extra-base hits for Demarini were collected by Jomar San Inocencio (2015, Colegio Carmen Del Sol HS, PR) and Allan Berrios (2015, Bond City Comm Unit 2, PR), who both had doubles in the game. Inocencio collected the teams other RBI with his double. 

Armando Jesus Valle (2016, Postros De Las Lomas Baseball Academy, PR) started the game on the mound for Demarini and threw a complete game to earn the win. Valle allowed 1 earned-run on 3 hits, while striking out 6 opposing batters.

The All American Prospects West beat Chain Black on Sunday afternoon, 6-3. All American's offense was fueled by a 4-run second inning. Zach Koch (2017, Plant HS, FL) fueled the big inning and finished the game 2-3 with a run scored and 2 RBI. Koch also collected the only extra-base hit of the game with a double. William Epps (2017, Plant HS, FL) joined Koch in collecting 2 hits in the game. Epps finished the game 2-2 with 1 RBI. 

Colton Widdows (2016, Dunedin HS, FL) pitched 3 innings in relief for All American and allowed 1 run on 3 hits to earn the win. Widdows struck out 4 batters using a fastball that averaged a velocity of 81-84 mph and topped out at 85 mph.

Frozen Ropes Badarack rallied from an early deficit to claim an 11-7 victory over TigerTown K2Pro Sunday at City of Palms Park in Fort Myers.

Matthew Baker (2016, Rockwall HS, TX) was the leader for the Frozen Ropes, driving in three runs and scoring two runs. Anthony Bernardez (2016, Prosper HS, TX) added two runs batted in and a run scored. Baker led the team with three hits, and Ryan Ratliff (2016, Rains HS, TX) added two. Parker Noren (2016, Mckinney Boyd HS, TX) and Ryan Dobson (2016, Marcus HS, TX) scored two runs a piece in the victory.

Baker was also the best pitcher for the Frozen Ropes, working two innings with two strikeouts. His fastball topped out at 82 mph.

Cash Case (2017, Montverde Academy, FL) and Tyler DeClerq (2016, Montverde Academy, FL) drove in two runs a piece to lead the run production. DeClerq and Caleb Stafford (2016, South Lake HS, FL) had two hits each, while Bernard Gilot (2016, Montverde Academy, FL) and Stafford scored two runs each.

Easton Rockets defeated East Cobb Black Knights by a 5-3 score Sunday afternoon at Jet Blue Field 4, improving its record at the 2014 16u BCS Finals to 4-1-0, while dropping East Cobb to 0-5-0 at the event. Facing a 3-0 deficit at the start of the fifth inning, Easton's lineup ignited for four runs in the frame and tacked on one more in the sixth en route to its fourth victory at the Finals.

Cristian Martin (2016, St. Brenden HS, FL) provided some of that offense in the Rockets' victory, going 1-for-1 with a pinch-hit double -- the game's lone extra-base knock -- to go with a run scored. Andru Summerall (2016, Palm Beach Gardens HS, FL) drove in a run via a sacrifice fly for Easton, while Chundi Kishore (2016, St. Edwards HS, FL) logged three innings of scoreless baseball in which he struck out four, walked none, allowed one hit and ran his fastball up to 80 MPH.

Cochrane Goes Distance as Xtreme Tops Banditos

(Alec Dopp) - Glen Allen Xtreme defeated Austin Banditos by a 7-3 Sunday afternoon score at Jet Blue Field 3, improving its record at the 2014 16u BCS Finals to 4-1-0 while dropping Austin to 3-2-0 at the event. Xtreme managed just five hits in the game (compared to Austin's 10), but capitalized off three Banditos errors en route to its fourth win in five contests at the Finals.

Hunter Cochrane (2017, Glen Allen HS, VA) recorded all seven innings on the mound as Glen Allen's starting pitcher, striking out eight batters, walking four, conceding 10 hits and two earned runs in the outing. Cochrane, a 5-foot-10 right hander, wasn't overpowering with his fastball (76-79 MPH sitting velo), but mixed in 36 curveballs (64-67 MPH) and nine changeups (68-71 MPH), which was enough to throw Austin's lineup off -- evidenced by the seven ground ball outs, four fly outs and 10 whiffs he was able to induce.

Connor Dopp (2017, Glen Allen HS, VA) led the offensive charge behind Glen Allen's victory, going 1-for-2 with a double, one run scored and one driven in on his way to two quality at bats in the win. Theron Powell (2016, Steward HS, VA) nabbed a game-high three stolen bases for Xtreme, while Andrew Foster (2016, Atlee HS, VA) chipped in with a 1-for-3 output that included three runs batted in and a stolen base of his own from the No. 5 spot in the order.

McWhorter's Bat Helps Team Elite Prime to Win

Prime committed three errors defensively in the game, but drew eight walks compared to six strikeouts offensively en route to its fifth win in as many games.

Mason McWhorter (2016, West Forsyth HS, GA) went 2-for-2 with a double -- the game's only extra-base hit -- two runs batted in, one run scored, one walk and three quality at bats offensively for Team Elite Prime. Zach Linginfelter (2016, Sevier County HS, TN) maxed out at 90 MPH (86-88 sitting velo) with his fastball as Prime's starting pitcher, logging four strikeouts, no walks, two hits and one earned run allowed over his four innings of work.

Pride Elite was outmatched both in hits and quality at bats in the contest, but its five-run sixth inning proved to be enough for MBA to walk away with the victory.

Tucker Bradley (2016, Gordon Lee HS, GA) logged five innings of one-run baseball in which he struck out seven, allowed six hits and walked one. Bradley, a 5-foot-11 southpaw, sat 80-82 with his fastball, 70-73 with his curveball and 72-75 with his changeup in the outing, helping him to produce eight swinging strikes. Bradley also went 2-for-3 with a run scored, run batted in and stolen base to lead Pride Elite offensively. Mervyl "MJ" Melendez (2017, St. James HS, AL), an Alabama State commit, drove in a game-high three runs and doubled on his way to a 2-for-4 batting line in the win.

(Alec Dopp) - Frozen Ropes Badarack defeated West Morris Minutemen by a convincing 7-0 score Sunday afternoon at Cypress Lake High School field, improving its record at the 2014 16u BCS Finals to 4-1-0 while dropping Morris to 3-2-0 at the event. Badarack out-hit the Minutement 12-6 and received efficient enough production from two of its pitchers to come away with the victory.

Anthony Bernardez (2016, Prosper HS, TX) drove in a game-high four runs thanks to a 2-for-4 battling line for Badarack, a line that included a fly ball home run to left-center field. Chris Wooley (2016, Prosper HS, TX) tripled on his way to a 1-for-2 performance at the plate in the meantime, while Bernardez and Dillon Saportio (2016, McKinney HS, TX) combined to toss seven shutout innings for the Frozen Ropes, topping out at 84 and 73 MPH, respectively, with their fastballs.

(Alec Dopp) - Florida Surge edged Rawlings American National by a slim 1-0 score Sunday afternoon at City of Palms Park Stadium, improving its record at the 2014 16u BCS Finals to 4-1-0 while dropping Rawlings to 2-3-0 at the event. Surge churned out eight hits and 14 quality at bats against National pitching, producing the game-deciding run in the bottom of the fourth inning to come away with the victory.

Thomas Romero (2015, Coral Springs Charter HS, FL) performed admirably as Florida Surge's starting pitcher, striking out 10 batters, walking two, and allowing two hits (both singles) over his seven shutout innings on the mound. Romero, a 6-foot-2 right hander, induced 14 swings-and-misses over 104 total pitches, running his fastball up to 88 MPH (83-86 sitting velo) with nine curveballs in the 68-70 velocity range. Travis Jacklin (2015, Royal Palm Beach HS, FL) stole two bases, walked and scored once and finished with a 1-for-2 batting line for Surge.

(Alec Dopp) - SCORE International defeated Zoned RedHawks Elite by a 4-2 mark Sunday afternoon at City of Palms Park Auxiliary field, improving its record at the 2014 16u BCS Finals to 3-1-1 while dropping Zoned to 2-3-0 at the event. International recorded just three hits in the game, but capitalized on one RedHawks error to score four runs in the third frame, which proved to the difference.

Kevin Nunez (2016, Alonso HS, FL) logged seven full innings on the mound as SCORE's starting pitcher, conceding two earned runs on five hits, no walks with six strikeouts. Nunez, a 5-foot-9 right hander, sat 77-81 MPH with easy arm action to his straight fastball, along with good feel and late 11/5 break to his 63-67 MPH curveball. Michael Sandborn (2016, Jesuit HS, FL) doubled and scored a run to lead International offensively.

Roadrunners Shut Out All American Prospects

Team Elite Roadrunners scored at least one run in all five innings, and claimed a 9-0 victory over All American Prospects Sunday at City of Palms Park in Fort Myers.

Kole Cottam (2015, Knoxville Catholic HS, TN) and Cam Sheppard (2016, Peachtree Ridge HS, GA) led the Roadrunners with three runs batted in each. North Carolina commit Jahmai Jones (2015, Wesleyan HS, GA) and Tennessee recruit Trey Cabbage (2015, Grainger HS, TN) also added one batted in a piece. Jones and Sheppard led the team with two hits each, and Jones, Cabbage, and Cole Zabowski (2016, Collins Hill HS, GA) scored two runs each in the win.

Brian Eichhorn (2015, Richmond Hill HS, GA) earned the win for the Roadrunners, tossing four scoreless innings with seven strikeouts. His fastball topped out at 84 mph. Luke Corbin (2016, Woodward Academy, GA) also added a scoreless, hitless frame. His fastball topped out at 82 mph.

The Prospects’ three hits came from Jacob Harrison (2016, Fort Pierce Central HS, FL), Brett Oliver (2017, Fort Pierce Central HS, FL), and Wade Walton (2016, Jensen Beach HS, FL).

Ostringers Win Via Third Inning Rally

Ostringers Baseball Academy Select rallied from an early 5-3 deficit to claim a 7-5 victory over Team Bownet Tampa Bay Warriors on Sunday in Fort Myers.

Drew Ehrhard (2017, Wharton HS, FL) led the Ostringers offense with two runs batted in and two runs scored. Conor Grady (2017, Tampa Catholic HS, FL), Cody Shook (2017, Newsome HS, FL), and Cody Wilson (2017, Bloomingdale HS, FL) added one RBI a piece. Wilson led the team with two hits, and he also added two runs scored in the victory.

The top pitcher for Ostringers was Matt Trzeciak (2016, Strawberry Crest HS, FL), who allowed just one hit with two strikeouts over 2.2 innings. His fastball topped out at 83 mph.

Three runs were batted in for the Warriors, supplied by Jose Cardenas (2016, Gaither HS, FL), Adrian Comas (2016, Dunedin HS, FL), and Izayah White (2015, Gaither HS, FL). Five players had one hit each, and Cardenas led the team with two runs scored. Elijah Anderson (2016, Spoto HS, FL) also added a triple.

Team Elite Prime beat MPi.

Team Elite Prime uses big fifth inning to beat MPi, 9-1. Brett Centracchio (Milton, Alpharetta, GA 2016) racked up three RBIs on one hit for Team Elite Prime. Hector Vasquez (Felix Varela Snior, Miami, FL 2016) was the hot hitter for the MPi. He 2-2 for the game with scoring one run. Team Elite Prime on the offense side had nine runs with eight hits as a team.

Jonathan Jahn (Westside, Martinez, GA 2016) had an impressive outing against MPi's lineup. He gave up just two hits, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his three innings of work. Will Ethridge (Parkview, Lilburn, GA 2016) recorded the win today for the Team Elite Prime. He allowed one run over two innings with striking out none, walked none, and surrendered three hits. Nelson Alvarez (G. Holmes Braddock, Miami, FL 2016) took the loss today for the MPi. He lasted just three innings, walked five, struck out and allowed two runs. Ethridge fastball range for the game was 79-82 mph Jahn fastball range for the game was 81-84 mph. Alvarez fastball range for the game was 77-82 mph.

Cantu, Tolar Propel Rawlings Over SWFL

(Alec Dopp) - Team Rawlings Citius defeated SWFL by a comfortable 8-3 score Sunday afternoon at 5-Plex Field 5, improving its record at the 2014 16u BCS Finals to 2-2-1 while dropping SWFL to 4-1-0 at the event. Rawlings out-hit SWFL by a slim 4-3 margin, but was able to capitalize on five errors en route to the victory.

Marcus Cantu (2017, Corpus Christi Moody HS, TX) doubled and went 1-for-3 from the plate for Rawlings, while Walker Tolar (2015, Big Sandy HS, TX) finished with a 1-for-1 batting line with a run scored, one run batted in and two walks. Taylor Morgan (2017, Ridgepoint HS, TX) ran his fastball up to 84 MPH over his 2.1 scoreless innings of relief for Citius in which he walked two and struck out a pair of hitters.

Bobby Stewart (2016, Naples HS, FL) finished with a 1-for-2 output from the No. 2 spot on SWFL's order, including one run, one walk and two quality at bats. Josh Winckowski (2016, Cypress Lake HS, FL) showed an ability to pitch downhill with solid arm action from an over-the-top slot over his two innings on the mound for SWFL, touching 87 MPH with his fastball.

Strong pitching leads Jacksonville Warriors Black past Florida Burn Navy 9-0. Bryce Newman (The Bolles, Jacksonville, FL 2016) was the hot hitter for the Jacksonville Warriors Black. He went 3-4 for the game with scoring two runs. Trey Thigpen (Spruce Creek, Port Orange, FL 2016) was the hot hitter for the Florida Burn Navy. He went 1-4 for the game. Jacksonville Warriors Black as a offense had nine runs with fourteen hits.

Kody Parsons (Providence, Jacksonville, FL 2016) held Florida Burn Navy scoreless for seven innings to help seal the victory. He allowed seven hits, one walk and struck out three. Mason Strickland (Freedom, Tampa, FL 2016) lasted just one inning on the bump for Florida Burn Navy before being taken out. He surrendered three hits and four runs. Crocker Hits, Throws Team Elite Black To Victory

(Alec Dopp) - Team Elite Black defeated South Florida Prospects by a convincing 8-0 mark Sunday afternoon at 5-Plex Field 4, improving its record at the 2014 16u BCS Finals to 3-2-0 while dropping Florida to 2-3-0 at the event. Black out-hit Prospects by a commanding 12-1 margin in the victory, proving more than enough to come away with the mercy rule victory.

Jonah Crocker (2016, East Hall HS, GA) logged five scoreless innings on the mound as Team Elite Black's starting pitcher, conceding just one hit with three strikeouts and two walks with life to his 76-80 MPH (84 max) fastball. Crocker showed an ability to set up hitters, change speeds and throw easy. He also doubled and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases to lead his team offensively, showcasing 5-tool potential with high energy and good overall athletic ability.

The Coastal Prospects Americans used a stellar pitching performance from their starter en route to a 2-0 victory over the Triple Crown Warriors. Zach Blankenship (2016, Fleming Island) pitched all seven innings for Coastal Prospects. He allowed only 2 hits, while striking out 8.

Cole Murphy (2015, Walnut Hills) also pitched well for the Warriors. He went six innings, allowing only 1 earned run and 6 hits, while striking out 9.

Chris Hawkins (2016, Fleming Island) picked up the only RBI of the game. He also added a hit.

(Alec Dopp) - Team Elite Roadrunners defeated Ostingers Baseball Academy Select by a 2-0 score Sunday afternoon at 5-Plex Field 3, out-hitting their opponent 9-2 while capitalizing on one Select error en route to the slim victory. The win improved Team Elite's record at the 2014 16u BCS Finals to 5-0-0.

Matt Turner (2015, Hardin Valley HS, TN) received the game's winning decision on the mound as the Roadrunners' starting pitcher, logging five shutout innings of two-hit ball in which he struck out five hitters and walked none. Turner showed control to both sides of the plate, threw his fastball in the 82-84 MPH range with good depth to his 12/6 breaking curveball (66-68 MPH). Cole Zabowski (2016, Collins Hill HS, GA) led Team Elite offensively, going 2-for-3 with a pair of doubles.

JJ Niekro (2016, Jesuit HS, FL) recorded four shutout innings on the bump as Ostingers' starter, too, punching out four, walking none and conceding just three hits. Niekro showed good command of his 82-84 MPH fastball, maintained arm speed on his sinking 76-77 MPH changeup and showcased late 12/6 break and nice depth to his 70-73 MPH curve. Conor Grady (2017, Tampa Catholic HS, FL) churned out two quality at bats and went 1-for-3 from the plate to lead Select.

MBA Pride Elite beat Excel Blue Sox.

MBA Pride Elite pulls away late for 11-5 victory over Excel Blue Sox. Alec Sanchez (Providence, Jackson, FL 2018) racked up two RBIS on four hits for MBA Pride Elite. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the first, fourth, and seventh innings. Lucas Bryant (Fort Payne, Fort Payne, AL 2015) was hot hitter for the Excel Blue Sox. He went 1-3 for the game with scoring one run and had one RBI.

Brady Greene (St James, Montgomery, AL 2017) struggled for the MBA Pride Elite today. He allowed 4 2/3 innings, but the bullpen came in help out with not giving up a run for the rest of the game. Banks Woodley (Jemison, Thorsby, AL 2016) was the other pitcher for the Excel Blue Sox. He tossed four innings worth while giving up eight hits, six runs, walking two, and striking out four. Greene fastball range for the day was70-84 mph.

The IBAHS Knights looked very good in their 9-1 victory over Xtreme Baseball. Gabriel Dominguez (2016, International Baseball Academy), the starting pitcher for the Knights, went five innings, allowing no earned runs and just two hits, while striking out two.

Delvin Perez (2016, International Baseball Academy) led the offense for the Knights. He went 2-3 with 2 RBI and 3 runs scored. Jose Pizarro (2016, International Baseball Academy) also collected two hits. He added an RBI and two runs scored as well.

South Tampa Prospects Hold On for Win

South Tampa Prospects scored three runs in the top of the 1st inning and would not give up the lead as they went on to defeat the Long Island Tigers 4-2.

Salvatore Lumia (2017, Jesuit, FL), Aaron Scott (2017, Robinson, FL), and Price Sartor (2017, Jesuit, FL) all had a big role in leading the Prospects to victory. Lumia finished the game with 2 RBIs while Scott registered 1 RBI and Sartor drove in one as well. Sartor also recorded two runs scored in the win.

(Alec Dopp) - Goose's Gamers defeated Florida Burn Pennant by a 4-0 score Sunday afternoon at 5-Plex Field 2, improving its record at the 2014 16u BCS Finals to 3-2-0 while dropping Florida to 4-1-0 at the event. The Gamers were out-hit 7-4 by Burn Pennant and also committed two errors, but their four-run top-of-the-second inning proved to the the deciding factor of the game.

Mauro (Paul) Gozzo (2016, Mark T. Sheehan HS, CT) received the winning decision on the mound as Goose's Gamers' starting pitcher, logging five three-hit innings of shutout ball in which he walked three and struck out five. Gozzo ran his fastball up to 83 MPH in the outing and showed a plus 12/6 breaking curveball (68-71 MPH). Jose Carrizales (2016, Trumbull HS, CT) homered and drove in three runs to lead the Gamers offensively.

UCF commit Rylan Thomas (2016, West Orange HS, FL) struck out five and pumped his fastball up to an easy 90 MPH over his 1.2 innings of relief for Florida Burn Pennant with late break 10/4 break to his 79-81 MPH curveball. Nick Long (2016, Sarasota HS, FL) doubled and went 1-for-3 from the No. 3 spot in Florida's order to lead the way offensively for his club.

The All American Prospects earned an impressive 9-1 win over Team Bownet Tampa Bay Warriors. The prospects starting pitcher Dillon Arnold (2016, Sebastian River) went all five innings. He allowed just one earned run and four hits, while striking out eight. He also scored a run on offense.

Brett Oliver (2017, Fort Pierce Central) led the offense for the Prospects. He finished a perfect 2-2 with 4 RBI and a run scored. Koa MacDougall (2016, Vero Beach) also collected a hit, 3 RBI, and a run scored. 

Bulldogs secure 7-1 Victory

Beyel Brothers Bulldogs were down 1-0 early, but after scoring three runs in the top of the third inning, would never surrender the lead again as they cruised to a 7-1 win over GBSA Sox.

Cooper Bradford (2016, Oviedo, FL) pitched a complete game allowing one run on just three hits. The right-hander struck out 9 and reached 86mph on his fastball.

Austin Dennis (2015, Rockledge Senior, FL) and Dylan Owens (2016, Cocoa, FL) each went 2-4 in the win. Dennis doubled once and drove in one run while scoring one as well.  Owens knocked home one run. Kasim Nabhan (2016, Rockledge Senior, FL) crossed home plate two times.

So Cal NTT's William Dencker (Newburgh Free Academy, Newburgh, NY 2016) comes through in the clutch, upends Team Elite Louisville Slugger, 5-1 victory. Dencker drove in the game winning run. Zach Bennett went a perfect 3-3 at the dish today for the So Cal NTT. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the fourth and sixth innings. Denzel Cooley (George Walton Academy, Dultuh, GA 2016) had two extra base hits for Team Louisville Slugger. He homered in the third inning and doubled in the fifth inning.

Justin Willis (St Josepeh, West New York, NJ 2017) was the workhorse on the bump today for the So Cal NTT with getting the victory. He allowed one earned run, five hits, and two walks while striking out five over seven innings of work. Brady Kelly (Dacula, Dacula, GA 2016) was the ace pitcher for the Team Elite Louisville Slugger. He tossed 5.1 innings worth while giving up eight hits, four runs, walking one and striking out seven. Willis fastball range for the game was 80-85 mph.

The GCBA Black Sox Elite and Team Elite Alpharetta played a very competitive game that ended in a 1-1 tie. Both starting pitchers had impressive performances. Ferguson Cochran (2016, St. Louis Catholic) went all seven innings for GCBA. He allowed only one earned run and four hits, while striking out four. Ryan Hoff (2016, Cambridge) went five innings for Team Elite. He allowed only one earned and five hits, while striking out two.

Coy Phillips (2018, Seven Rivers Christian) led the offense for GCBA. He finished a perfect 2-2.

Maxwell Wadsworth (2016, Morgan County) led the offense for Team Elite. He finished 2-3 with a run scored.

Trevor Cramer (Bishop Verot, Cape Coral, FL 2016) led the Xtreme Baseball's offensive threat, as he got on base two times in the game. He doubled in the third inning.  It was a good day at the plate for Corben Henry (Alvin Reach, Alvin, TX 2016) . He went 2-3 for the game with driving in one run and scored one run with a double in the first inning and single in the sixth inning.

Tyler Shuck (Canterbury, Cape Coral, FL 2017) got it done on the mound today for the Xtreme Baseball as he got the victory. He allowed four runs over six innings with striking out five, walked three and surrendered six hits. Corben ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision with getting the loss. He lasted just five inning, walked three, struck out eight, allowed five runs.

The 643 DP Cougars Sterling defeated Storm Baseball 8-2.  The Cougars jumped out to an early 4-0 lead 4-0 lead after the first inning, and went on to the easy victory.

Drake Frix (2016, Darlington HS, GA) led the way by going 2-2 at the plate with one run scored and three RBIs.  Jake Howard (2016, Lagrange HS, GA) also went 2-2 in the game, with one run scored and two stolen bases.  Leadoff hitter Chase Hawkins (2015, Dunwoody HS, GA) contributed by going 1-3 with a triple and a run scored.  Rutty Jones (2015, Mt. Paran Christian, GA) pitched 2.1 innings of work, showing off a fastball that topped out at 82 mph.  River Brannon (2015, Model HS, GA) pitched the other 3.2 innings, and he too had an impressive fastball that peaked at 85 mph.

(Alec Dopp) - Elite Squad Prime defeated SWFL Prospects Underclass by a 5-0 mark Sunday afternoon at 5-Plex Field 1, running its record at the 2014 16u BCS Finals to 5-0-0 while dropping SWFL to 2-4-0 at the event. Prime scored once in the first and four more times in the third inning, meanwhile receiving the pitching necessary to pull out the convincing victory.

Miami commit Anthony Molina (2016, Somerset Academy Charter HS, FL) fanned seven hitters and allowed one hit and walk over his four shutout innings of work as Elite Squad's starting pitcher, registering 11 of 13 potential first-pitch strikes with his arm-side run fastball sitting comfortably in the 89-92 MPH range. The 6-foot-5 righty with outstanding arm speed mixed in eight changeups (74-76 MPH) with good fade and deception with a plus 11/5 breaking curveball (73-75 MPH) that helped him produce an impressive 12 whiffs over 48 total pitches thrown.

Jack Khawly (2016 Somerset Academy Charter HS, FL) recorded two doubles on his way to a 2-for-2 batting line with a run scored to lead Prime offensively, while Derek Cartaya (2016, Somerset Academy Charter HS, FL) stole a game-high two bases for Elite Squad. For the Mustangs, leadoff hitter Grant Stewart (2016, Paxton HS, FL) went 2-4 with a triple, one run scored, and two RBIs.  Kaleb Newborn (2016, Paxton HS, FL) went 1-3 at the plate, with one run scored.  Devin Hemenway (2017, Niceville Senior, FL) pitched five complete innings, giving up no earned runs and struck out six.  Andrew Howell (2015, Paxton HS, FL) also pitched 1.2 innings, and had a fastball that topped out at 85 mph.

Elite Squad TPX defeats Austin Banditos 8-7. Ryan Hernandez (Christopher Columbus HS, Pinecrest, fL 2016) racked up three RBIs on one hit for Elite Squad TPX. He doubled in the the first inning. Hudson Fife (Lake Travis HS, Spicewood, TX) lead the charge for the Banditos in the loss. Fife had 2 doubles in the game, scoring a run and driving in 2. Austin Todd (Round Rock HS, Round Rock, TX 2016) helped pace the offense for the Austin Banditos. He went 1-3 for the game with scoring two runs and had one RBI.

Mitchell Senger (Boca Raton Community HS, Boca Raton, FL 2016) had rough outing for the Elite Squad TPX. He gave up 3 1/3 innings but the bullpen stepped up and only gave up two runs for the game. Brad Demco (Lake Travis HS, Austin, TX 2016) only lasted just two-thirds of an inning on the bump for Austin Banditos before being taken out of the ballgame. He gave up two hits and four runs. Demco fastball range for the game was 77-80 mph. Senger fastball range for the game was 76-80 mph.

SACSN Shut Out Banditos Houston

SACSN National Team improved to 3-1 in the tournament so far with a shutout 6-0 victory over Banditos Houston. 

Dylan Lester (2016, Brenham, TX), a top 300 ranked prospect, controlled the mound for SACSN National Team.  The right-hander tossed five innings, gave up two hits, no runs, and struck out 4. Lester was around the plate with all pitches, had pinpoint command, and attacked hitters all game.  He used a deceptive delivery, smooth mechanics, and an aggressive fastball to fend off batters.  His fastball topped out at an impressive 88mph. 

Logan Boyer (2016, Hamilton, AZ) and Wyatt Featherston (2016, Green Mountain, CO), both top 300 ranked prospects as well, each recorded one RBI in the win.  Featherston also scored once.  Shawn Kelley (2016, Sweeny, TX) finished the game with 2 RBIs. 

Bullets Blue Win in High-Scoring Affair

The Mid-Ohio Bullets Blue scored in four of five innings and defeated the Connecticut Vipers 13-5 in five innings.

Offense was key for the Bullets as they showed some big offensive displays.  Carson Mittermaier (2016, Upper Sandusky, OH) and Matt Phipps (2016, Dublin Coffman, OH) each hit homeruns in the win. Both players finished the game a perfect 2-2 with 2 RBIs.  Mittermaier scored twice while Phipps crossed home plate three times.  Cody Gabriel (2016, Upper Sandusky, OH) went 2-3 with 2 RBIs and also scored once. Zach Bowden (2016, St. Francis De Sales, OH) got in on the action as well batting 2-3 with one double and 2 RBIs.

Dylan Horn (2016, Marianapolis Prep, CT) doubled once and knocked home two batters in the loss for the Vipers.  Gavin Jarry (2016, Ledyard, CT) doubled in the game as well while driving in one run.

The East Cobb Braves offense came alive, as they defeated FBH Angels Gold, 12-1, in five innings.  The Braves outhit their opponent 12-1 in the game.

Aaron Veres (2015, Cherokee HS, GA) went a perfect 3-3 at the plate, with two runs scored and one RBI.  Leadoff hitter Patrick Martin (2016, Kennesaw Mountain HS, GA) went 2-3 with one run scored, two RBIs, and three stolen bases in the game.  Chase Solesky (2016, John Carroll Catholic, FL) also went 2-3 with one RBI.  Charles Crosby (2016, Deerfield-Windsor, GA) pitched an inning of work, and flashed a fastball that topped out at 88 mph, while mixing in a curveball as his off-speed.

Late Scoring Helps Propel Pokers to Win

The Florida Pokers Underclass Navy used six runs in the final three innings to fend off Banditos of Austin 9-4 after six innings of play.

Rhett Rampinelli (2016, Lakewood Ranch, FL) and Livan Hernandez (2016, J.P. Taravella, FL) paved the way on offense for the Florida Pokers.  Rampinelli went 2-4 with one run scored while Hernandez finished a perfect 2-2 with 2 RBIs.  Hunter Sellers (2016, Key West, FL) was 1-2 and knocked in one run while scoring twice as well.  Tyler Trudell (2016, Lake Minneola, FL) was solid on the bases as he crossed home plate three times in the win. 

Drew Cable (2016, Vista Ridge, TX) gave good effort on offense for Banditos of Austin by going 2-4 at the plate.  Johnny Zarate III (2016, Pflugerville, TX) also helped offensively by driving in 2 runs.

PBA Black defeated Florida Burn Gold 7-2.  PBA took an early 3-0 lead after the first inning, and went on to the easy victory.

Mark Rooney (2016, Port Charlotte HS, FL) led the way by going a perfect 2-2 at the plate, with a double, and three RBIs.  Terry Tates (2015, Cape Coral HS, FL) went 1-3 with a triple, one run scored, and two RBIs.  Will Nelson (2016, Desoto County HS, FL) contributed as well by going 2-3 with a double and one run scored.  Nelson also pitched four innings of work, giving up two earned runs, and displayed a fastball that peaked at 81 mph.

For the Gold, Jerry Biller III (2016, Brandon HS, FL) went 1-2 with one run scored.  Brendan Gramaila (2016, St. Petersburg HS, FL) pitched three innings of work, and he too had a fastball that topped out at 80 mph.


Marucci Elite Houston blank BPE Titans

Marucci Elite Houston Red routed the BPE Titans 10-0 after five innings of play to remain unbeaten so far in the tournament.

Hayden Wesneski (2016, Cy-Fair, TX) and Thomas Franke (2016, Cy-Fair, TX) combined to pitch the shutout for Marucci.  Wesneski started and tossed the first four innings allowing just two hits while striking out five.  He worked fast, was around the plate with all pitches, and displayed sound mechanics. His fastball reached 84mph. Franke came in for the final inning and gave up no hits, and struck out one.

Eric Monroe Moll (2016, Kingwood, TX), the 153rd ranked prospect, finished the game 2-3 with 1 RBI and two runs scored.  Emanuel Wooten (2016, Cypress Ridge, TX) and Garrett Wolforth (2016, Concordia Lutheran, TX), a Dallas Baptist commit, each registered 2 RBIs in the win.

West Morris Minutemen takes an early lead for 8-4 victory over Orlando Baseball Academy 2016. Angelo Liu (Delbarton, Chester, NJ 2016) went perfect 2-2 at the dish today for West Morris Minutemen. Bradley Donelick (East Ridge, Clermont, FL 2017) got a hit in each of his two at bats. He singled in the third and fifth innings. West Morris Minutemen on the offense side had eight runs with nine hits.

Mathew Zebrowski (Delbarton, Randolph, NJ 2016) looked sharp on the mound. Orlando Baseball Academy 2016 managed just one hit off of Zebrowski. He allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his four innings of work. Carter Massengil (Delbarton, Summit, NJ 2016) recorded the win today for the West Morris Minutemen. He allowed two runs over three innings of work with striking out four, walked four and gave up two hits. Emilio Alvarez (Lake Minneola, Clermont, FL 2016) took the loss for the Orlando Baseball Academy 2016. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked three and struck out four.

SWFL Navy hold off Renegades National

Using a five-run sixth inning, SWFL Navy held off Naperville Renegades National 11-7 after six innings of play. Both teams recorded double digit hits.

Jake Crandon (2016, Canterbury, FL) and Hogan Long (2016, Estero, FL) each finished the game 2-2 for SWFL Navy.  Crandon doubled twice and drove in two runs.  He also crossed home plate three times in the win.  Long registered one double and one walk as well.  Christian Maglich (2016, Cardinal Mooney, FL) and Mason Eicher (2016, Mariner, FL) helped boost the offense as well.  Maglich went 2-3 with 1 RBI and 1 run scored.  Eicher was responsible for driving in two runs. 

Matt Pilatsch (2016, Naperville North, IL) and Kevin Ringlien (2016, Neuqua Valley, IL) helped provide the offense for the Renegades.  Pilatsch reached base three times registering two hits and one walk.  He also drove in two runs and scored once as well.  Ringlien finished the game 2-4 with 1 RBI and one run scored. 

Team Demarini Remain Undefeated

Team Demarini Puerto Rico put two runs on the board in the top of the fourth inning and that proved to be just enough as they edged BPT Hurricanes 2-0.  Team Demarini also stayed undefeated so far in the tournament with the win.

Jorge Marcano (2016, New Era Educational School, PR) tossed a complete game effort for Team Demarini. Marcano gave up three hits, allowed no runs, and registered a 68.9% pitches-to-strikes ratio.  The right-hander controlled the game as he struck out 8 while reaching 80mph on his fastball. 

Joey Hernandez (2015, Potros De Las Lomas Baseball, PR) and Bryan Miranda (2015, Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy, PR) each finished the game 2-3 in the win. Hernandez also scored one of the two runs. Lean Marrero (2015, Leadership Christian Academy, PR) and Angel Velez (2015, Carlos Beltran Baseball Academy, PR) each drove in one run.

SWFL beat SBO Puerto Rico Red.

SWFL sixth inning burst enough to top SBO Puerto Rico Red, 11-2 victory. Carter Smith (Fort Myers, Fort Myers, FL 2016) racked up three RBIs on two hits for SWFL. Carter went 2-4 for the game with scoring one run. Phillip Quinn (Coral Springs, North Lauderdale, FL 2016) was the hot hitter for the SBO Puerto Rico Red. Quinn went 1-3 for the game. SWFL as a team today had eleven runs scored with seven hits on the offense side of the game.

Bryan Eberle (Canterbury, Alva, FL 2016) shut down the SBO Puerto Rico Red while he was on the bump. He gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out five during his five innings of work. Michael Egea lasted only two-thirds of an inning on the hill for the SBO Puerto Rico before he was taken out of the game. He allowed three hits and four runs. Eberle fastball range for the game was 79-83 mph.

Banditos North come back to finish in tie

Fat Cat Thunder led 6-0 heading into the fourth inning, but Banditos North got things going on offense and scored 8 runs in the final three innings to finish in an 8-8 tie with Fat Cat Thunder.

Matthew Delise (2016, Homeschool, GA) finished 1-1 with a double, 1 RBI, and two runs scored for Fat Cat Thunder.  Zack Hermann (2016, Pickens County, GA) and Jake Craddock (2015, North Forsyth, GA) each registered two runs scored as well in the tie. 

John "JD" Noey (2016, Klein Oak, TX) and Josh Campbell (2016, Angleton, TX) helped pave the way for the comeback for Banditos North.  Noey finished the game 2-3 and knocked in three runs.  Campbell drove in two runs while also scoring twice himself.  Brad Baughman (2016, Magnolia West, TX) also finished with two hits and he crossed home plate once as well.

Bullet Baseball escapes Team Rawlings Citius behind Dylan Duplechain's (Mamou, Mamou, LA 2016) eight strikeouts 5-1 victory. A RBI triple by Ronald Washington (Dulles, Houston, TX 2017) in the seventh inning cost Dylan Duplechain his no-hitter. Washington went 1-3 for the game had a RBI. Drake Trawhorn (Little Cypress-Mauriceville, Mauriceville, TX 2016) was the hot hitter for the Bullet Baseball. He went 1-3 for the game with scoring one run and had one RBI.

Dylan Duplechain was control on the hill today for the Bullet Baseball. The other team only managed just one hit off Duplechain. He allowed one earned run, walked three and striking eight during his seven innings of work. Justin Mora (Moody, Corpus Christi, TX 2017) couldn't get anything done on the mound today for the Team Rawlings Citius with taking the loss. He lasted 3 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed four runs. Duplechain fastball range for the game was 77-81 mph.

The BPA White offense came alive in the fifth inning, scoring five runs, and went on to defeat the Coastal Prospects Nationals, 8-2.

Austin Miller (2016, Oviedo HS, FL) went 2-3 with a double, one run scored, and one RBI in the game for BPA.  Jacob Wood (2016, Oviedo HS, FL) went 3-3 with one run scored and one RBI.  Sean Paul Perry (2016, Melbourne Central Catholic, FL) went 2-3 with two RBIs.  Paul Benitez (2016, Lake Nona HS, FL) and Bailey Wendel (2017, Hagerty HS, FL) contributed to the offense with a double a piece.  Wendel also pitched five innings of work, giving up one earned run on two hits, and struck out four.  He showed control on both sides of the plate with a fastball that peaked at 79 mph.

For the Nationals, Brady Breedlove (2016, Bartram Trail HS, FL) went 2-3 at the plate with one run scored and one stolen base in the game.


Chain Black Score 16 in Win

Chain Black started off strong and continued to dominate as they put 16 runs on the board and defeated Naperville Renegades American 16-2 after five innings of play.  Chain Black improved to 4-0 in the tournament. 

Will Hodges (2016, Effingham County, GA) displayed a live bat with power potential as he led the way going 3-3 with one double and two triples.  The 242nd ranked player in the country finished with 4 RBIs and three runs scored.  Alex Vanderstok (2016, Northside, GA), Daulton Griffen (2016, South Effingham, GA), and Logan Stephens (2016, Valdosta, GA) all recorded two hits in the win.  Vanderstok, a top 300 ranked player, registered 1 RBI and one run scored.  Stephens also scored one run while Griffen knocked in two runs and crossed home plate twice as well.  Hayden Freeman (2016, Spain Park, AL), a top 350 ranked prospect, doubled and drove in two runs.

Seth Shuman (2016, Valdosta, GA) started on the mound for Chain Black and pitched three solid innings. Shuman allowed one run on three hits while fanning 5.  His arm worked well and he showed a good FB that reached 83mph. Seth was given the win.

Zack Martin (2016, Plainfield North, IL) and Sam Cummings (2016, Oswego East, IL) each registered one RBI for the Renegades. 

Orioles Defeat Prospects 3-2

The East Cobb Orioles defeated the Indiana Prospects 3-2.  The Orioles got two late runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to grab the victory.

Jonathan Sentell (2016, Etowah HS, GA) pitched a complete game for the Orioles, giving up one earned run on four hits, and struck out seven.  He had a fastball that averaged 77-79 mph and peaked at 82 mph, while also mixing in a handful of off-speed pitches.

At the plate for the Orioles, Parris Collins (2016, River Ridge HS, GA) went 1-2 in the game with two RBIs.  Kenneth Hartzfeld (2016, The Westminster Schools, GA) went 1-4 with two runs scored.

For the Prospects, J.J. Bleday (2016, Titusville HS, PA) a Vanderbilt commit, went 2-3 at the plate with one run scored.  On the mound, Conner Hasecuster (2016, Shelbyville Sr., IN) pitched five complete innings of work, giving up one earned run on four hits, and struck out six.  He had an impressive fastball that topped out at 83 mph, and mixed in curveballs and a few changeups as his off-speed pitches.


Prospects West Win Big over FTB

All American Prospects West scored runs in all four innings to dominate FTB Puerto Rico 11-2.  The Prospects used 11 hits to score 11 runs and proved to be too much for FTB.

Spencer Myers (2017, Berkeley Preparatory, FL) and John Shields (2017, Plant, FL) led the way on offense for the Prospects West.  Myers finished the game a perfect 2-2 with two runs scored.  Shields also had two hits in the win while also driving in one run and scoring once as well.  Ethan Richards (2017, Plant, FL) doubled once and ended the game with 1 RBI and two runs scored. 

Zane Hedaya (2016, Plant, FL) tossed 3 innings for All American allowing two runs on two hits.  The right-hander showed good command on the mound while displaying sound mechanics and a smooth delivery.  He set up hitters and struck out 7 while touching 84mph on his fastball.

Adrian Ramos (2016, PR) and Ivan Houellemont (2016, PR) each had one hit in the game for FTB Puerto Rico. 

Raiders edge by Palm Beach Select 1-0

The Barrett Baseball Raiders defeated the Palm Beach Select, 1-0, thanks to strong pitching and some timely hitting.

Parker Morrison (2016, Forsyth Central HS, GA) pitched a complete game for the Raiders giving up just four hits, three walks, and struck out 11 in the game.  He had great mound presence, and had the ability to throw strikes and be around the plate with all of his pitches.  He had a fastball that averaged 80-82 mph and topped out at 84 mph.

At the plate for the Raiders, Riley Halstead (2016, West Forsyth HS, GA) went 2-3 with one RBI.  Caleb Gilbert (2016, North Forsyth HS, GA) contributed by going 2-2 in the game.

For the Select, Ian Carlos Claudio (2016, Lincoln Park Academy, FL) went 2-3 at the plate.  Blake Disher (2016, Jupiter HS, FL) went 1-2.  On the mound, Bryan Clark (2015, Jupiter HS, FL) pitched a complete game, giving up one earned run on six hits, and struck out eight in the game.


Goddard's no-hitter gives OTC 2-0 Win

OTC Baseball defeated Florida Burn Silver 2-0, thanks to the no-hit efforts of Tyler Goddard (2016, Union Grove HS, GA).  Goddard recorded seven strikeouts in the game and only walked two, in seven innings of work.

Goddard threw well on the mound, throwing strikes with an easy, fluent release, and had a fastball that topped out at 82 mph, while mixing in some curveballs as his off-speed pitch.  At the plate, leadoff hitter Zachary Skeen (2016, Luella HS, GA) went 2-2 with a stolen base.  Drew Compton (2016, Spalding HS, GA) contributed by going 1-3 with one RBI in the game.

For Florida Burn, Tyler Gardner (2016, Venice Senior HS, FL) made an appearance on the mound, showing off a fastball that also topped out at 82 mph.

Florida Burn Pennant scored in four of the game’s five innings, and claimed a 9-1 victory over GCBA Black Sox Elite Sunday in Fort Myers.

Five different players — Ben Rowden (2016, Demand HS, FL), Nicholas Baldor (2016, Jesuit HS, FL), Scott Dabrule (2016, Venice HS, FL), Tyler Dyson (2016, Braden River HS, FL), and UCF commit Rylan Thomas (2016, West Orange HS, FL) drove in one run each. Baldor and Dabrule led the team with two hits, and Nick Ortega (2016, Jesuit HS, FL) scored a team-high three runs.

Eric Kimsey (2016, Braden River HS, FL) pitched three scoreless innings, and earned the win for the Burn. His fastball topped out at 79 mph. Gabriel Lozada (2016, IMG Academy, FL) did not allow an earned run over two innings, and his fastball peaked at 78 mph.

The lone run for the Black Sox was scored by Alejandro Olivert (2016, Lehigh Senior HS, FL), and the three hits were singles from Ryan Palermo (2016, St. Louis Catholic HS, LA) and two from Shane Marshall (2018, Gulf Coast HS, FL).

Team Elite Alpharetta Claims 7-5 Win

Team Elite Alpharetta used a five-run fourth inning to claim a 7-5 victory over Goose’s Games in Fort Myers on Sunday.

Gavin Dooley (2016, Woodward Academy, GA) and Caston McDonald (2016, South Forsyth HS, GA) led the run production for Alpharetta, driving in two runs a piece. Cole Varner (2016, Lambert HS, GA) and Jake Tomelevage (2016, Lambert HS, GA) added one run batted in each. McDonald led the team with three hits, and four others had one hit. Carter King (2016, Rabun Gap Nacoochee HS, GA) had a team-high two runs scored in the victory.

Hunter Furlong (2016, Lambert HS, GA) earned the win over five innings, and Tomelevage and Varner each pitched one inning, with Varner taking the save. Furlong’s fastball topped out at 82 mph, Tomelevage’s peaked at 78 mph, and Varner’s reached 82 mph.

Alexander Parkos (2015, Xavier HS, CT) drove in two runs for the Gamers, and Salvatore Gozzo (2016, Sheehan HS, CT) and Sam Cleland (2015, Masuk HS, CT) added one run batted in each. Parker also added three hits, with Gozzo, Cleland and Manuel Alejandro (2015, East Hartford HS, CT) adding two. Gozzo led the team with two runs scored.

Elite Squad Prime Explodes for 18 Runs

Elite Squad Prime scored at least two runs in all four innings, and rolled to an 18-1 victory over East Cobb Black Knights Sunday in Fort Myers.

Zach Jackson (2017, Haines City HS, FL) was the offense power for Elite Squad Prime, driving in four runs on three hits. Derek Cartaya (2016, Somerset Academy Charter, FL) added three runs batted in and a run scored, while Jack Khawly (2016, Somerset Academy Charter, FL) drove in two runs and scored another. Eric Rivera (2016, Flanagan HS, FL) scored three runs, a team-high, and four other players scored two runs.

Johnny Leone (2017, St. Thomas Aquinas HS, FL) earned the win for his three innings on the mound, as he allowed one run with five strikeouts. His fastball topped out at 84 mph. Kevin Gutierrez (2016, Pembroke Pines Charter HS, FL) pitched a scoreless inning, and his fastball peaked at 80 mph.

Eight-Run Inning Powers Easton Rockets

Easton Rockets scored eight runs in the third inning to take the lead, and claimed a 13-6 victory over SWFL Prospects Underclass on Sunday in Fort Myers.

Cristian Martin (2016, St. Brendan HS, FL) led the Rockets with four runs batted in, and Jerbari Brooks (2017, Jensen Beach HS, FL) added three runs driven in. Adding one each was Andru Summerall (2016, Palm Beach Gardens HS, FL), Kristofer Armstrong (2018, The Benjamin School, FL), and Brooks Aristy (2016, Palm Beach Central HS, FL). Michael Rothenberg (2017, Pine Crest HS, FL) scored three runs, a team-high, and Brooks, Martin, and Andrew Martinez (2017, Jupiter HS, FL) each had two hits.

Justin Alintoff (2017, Dwyer HS, FL) earned the win for the Rockets, allowing two earned runs over three innings. His fastball topped out at 83 mph. Summerall pitched the final two innings, allowing no earned runs with a fastball that topped out at 81 mph.

Jonathan Cosme (2015, Gulf Coast HS, FL) recorded a pair of runs batted in for the Prospects, the team’s only RBIs. Jeffrey Daly (2015, Jefferson HS, FL) added two hits in the losing effort.

Banditos and Xtreme End Shootout in 4-4 Tie

The Banditos of Austin tied Xtreme Baseball 4-4 at the end of the seventh inning. 

Jake Velasco (2016, Cedar Park, TX) led the Banditos of Austin with two hits in the game. Grant Gilmore (2016, Austin, TX) and Chris Funk (2016, Austin, TX) roped a hit each while driving in a RBI, and Funk also collected the only extra base hit for the team. Alex Shillow (2016, Pflugerville, TX) and Patrick Bannister (2016, Round Rock, TX) contributed a hit each in the game.

Bannister also tossed 3.2 strong innings. He surrendered two hits with just one long run. He walked a pair of batters while striking out three batters one his 80 mph fastball. 

Austin Crespo (2015, Fort Myers, FL) and Alec Babb (2017, Cape Coral, FL) led the Xtreme Baseball with RBI single each. Giovanny Lorenzo (2017, Fort Myers, FL) added the only extra base hit with a double, and he later scored to add on another run. 

Christian Menendez (2016, Cape Coral, FL) tossed four innings. He allowed five hits with three runs to score. He walked a lone batter while striking out six batters on his 84 mph fastball. Dylan Ortiz (2015, Cape Coral, FL) tossed the last 2.2. innings and allowed a pair of hits and a run. He walked a lone batter and struck out a trio of opponents. He ran the gun up to 77 mph with his fastball. 

Florida Legends cruise to 9-1 win

The Florida Legends cruised past the Connecticut Vipers on Friday by a final score of 9-1. Giovon Soto (2016, Gulliver Schools HS, FL) led the Legends at the plate with a 2-3 game including 2 triples. Soto also scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Jhan Berrios and Ernesto Perez (2016, South Miami Senior HS, FL) were both 2-3 in the game, as well. Berrios scored 2 runs and drove in 1 with a triple, and Perez scored a run and drove in 2 double. 

Felix Garcia (2016, Miami Palmetto Senior HS, FL) started the game on the mound for Florida and was dominant. Garcia allowed 1 unearned run on 2 hits, while striking out 10 batters in his 5 innings of work to earn the win. His strong arm was on display in the game as he averaged a fastball velocity of 79-83 mph and reached as high as 85 mph. Perez finished the final inning of the game in relief and struck out 2 of the 3 batters he faced. He too threw very hard in the game. His fastball maintained a velocity between 82-83 mph and topped out at 86 mph.

Gavin Jarry (2016, Ledyard HS, CT) and Ethan Kruger (2015, Norwich Free Academy, CT) each collected a hit for the Vipers in the loss. Stephen Sieczkowski (2015, Norwich Technical HS, CT) scored Connecticut's only run of the game as well.

Matt McDuffie (2016, Riverview HS, FL) pitched a complete game shutout on Friday to lead the Florida Burn Gold over the Barrett Baseball Raiders, 3-0. McDuffie scattered 3 hits over his 5 innings of work and struck out 2 batters to earn the win.

Parker Morrison (2016, Forsyth Central HS, GA) started the game for Barrett and was equally impressive despite getting the loss. Morrison threw 3 innings and allowed 2 runs on 1 hit, while striking out 5 batters.

Najee Rhodes and Trevor Losada (2016, Lakewood Ranch HS, FL) led Burn Gold at the plate. Rhodes and Losada collected Florida's only 2 hits in the game and both scored a run. Owen Ragsdale (2017, Lakewood Ranch HS, FL) collected the game's only RBI. 

Prospects and Mustangs end game in 4-4 tie

The Florida Mustangs and the Indiana Prospects tied on Friday, 4-4. The Mustangs were led at the plate by lead-off hitter Grant Stewart (2016, Paxton HS, FL), who was 2-4 with a run scored. Derek Eberly (2016, Blountstown HS, FL) and Austin Lawniczak (2017, Niceville Senior HS, FL) both collected 2 hits each and finished 2-3 with a run scored. 

Stewart started the game on the mound for Florida and was solid through his 3 innings of work. He allowed 2 runs on 1 hit and struck out 5 batters. 

Indiana was led at the plate by lead-off hitter Conrado Skepple (2016, Bloomingdale HS, FL), who was 1-3 with a double and 1 RBI. The Prospect's other RBI was collected by Milo Beam (2016, Westfield HS, IN). Beam finished the game 1-2 with a run scored and 1 RBI. 

Julian Ossias (2015, Bloomingdale HS, FL) threw the final 5 innings in relief for Indiana and was very impressive. Ossias allowed 0 runs on 4 hits, while striking out 6 batters.

Jacksonville takes down BPT, 12-6

The Jacksonville Warriors Black scored 8 runs in the bottom of the third-inning to go on to beat the BPT Hurricanes, 12-6. Lead-off hitter Bryce Newman (2016, The Bolles HS, FL) led the Warriors at the plate. Newman finished the game 2-2 with 3 RBI. Austin Henson (2016, The Bolles HS, FL) and Trey Seabrooke III (2016, Bishop Kenny HS, FL) were also key run producers, each going 1-2 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI. Justin Waddell (2016, Baker County Senior HS, FL) was the final player for Jacksonville to collect 2 hits in the game. Waddell scored twice, as well. The teams only extra-base hit was collected by Kody Parsons (2016, Providence HS, FL), who was 1-2 with a double.

Avery Williams (2016, Obra D. Tompkins HS, TX) paced the offense for the BPT Hurricanes with a 2-3 game. Williams also scored a run and had 1 RBI. Patrick Pool (2016, Cypress Falls, TX) collected a 2-RBI double in the loss. Connor Smith (2016, Kingwood HS, TX) contributed the teams other double. Smith also scored 2 runs and had 1 RBI.

Gayle Pitches Citius to 8-3 Victory over Elite

Team Rawlings Citius defeated GCBA Black Sox Elite by a 8-3 score Friday morning at Terry Park Brett.

Garrett Gayle (2016, Cypress Woods HS, TX) logged four innings of hit-less and run-less baseball as Rawlings' starting pitcher, striking out five batters and walking two. Gayle's fastball sat 81-83 MPH in the outing.

Walker Tolar (2015, Big Sandy HS, TX) went 1-for-2 with a run scored and double to lead Citius offensively.

Prospects National win over GCBA, 7-3

The Coastal Prespects Nationals won on Saturday over the GCBA Black Sox Elite, 7-3. Gabe Cassala (2016, Allen D. Nease Senior HS, FL) led the Coastal Prospects at the plate with a 2-3 game. Cassala doubled, scored a run, and had 1 RBI in the game. John Hargrove (2017, Baldwin Middle-Senior HS, FL) had the team's other extra-base hit with a 2-RBI double. Lead-off hitter Keilin Washington (2017, Trinity Christian Academy HS, FL) ignited the National's at the plate by scoring 2 of their 7 runs.

Austin Massebeau (2016, Flagler-Palm Coast HS, FL) started the game on the mound for the Nationals and pitched 4.2 innings allowing 1 earned run on 3 hits to earn the win. 

Peyton Doumite (2017, St. Louis Catholic HS, LA) led GCBA at the plate with a 2-2 game. Doumite also scored a run and stole a base in the loss. 

Wooten Leaqds Marucci to Victory over Florida

Marucci Elite Houston Red defeated Florida Burn Navy by a 3-2 score Friday morning at Terry Park Mack.

Emanuel Wooten (2016, Cypress Red HS, TX) got the winning decision as Houston's starting pitcher. He logged 3.2 innings in which he allowed two earned runs home on four hits, three walks and two strikeouts, using a 79-81 MPH fastball.

Kevin Roliard (2016, Klein HS, TX) went 1-for-2 with a run scored and run batted on to lead Marucci offensively.

Baker, Vanderstok Lead Chain Black to Win

Chain Black defeated Coastal Prospects Nationals by a 11-8 score Friday morning at Terry Park Clemente.

Dusty Baker (2016, Effingham County HS, GA) led the offensive charge behind Chain Black's win, doubling on his way to a 2-for-3 performance from the plate.

Alex Vanderstok (2016, Northside HS, GA) ran his fastball up to a game-high velocity of 88 MPH. Vanderstok struck out three and allowed no earned runs home in his three innings of work for Chain Black.

Patriots hold on to win 9-6

The East Cobb Patriots held off 6 late runs from the West Morris Minutemen to win 9-6 on Saturday afternoon. Brigham Bailey (2016, Sequoyah HS, GA) paced the Patriot's offensively. Bailey was 2-2 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI. Sylvester Toe Jr. (2016, Landmark Christian HS, GA) and Brady John (2015, Pope HS, GA) each had 2 hits in the game, as well. Toe Jr. also scored 2 runs and doubled. Each player drove in 1 run for the winners. Clay Davis (2016, Marist HS, GA) had the big hit of the game for East Cobb. Davis slugged a triple that plated 3 runs. Patrick Lewis collected the team's other extra-base hit with a double.

Tom Githens (2016, West Morris Mendham HS, NJ) led West Morris at the plate. Githens finished the game 3-3 with a run scored and 2 RBI. Jack Corcoran (2016, Delbarton HS, NJ) also had a big game for the Minutemen. Corcoran was 1-2 with a 2-RBI triple. West Morris' other extra-base hit was collected by Jake Stagman (2016, West Morris Mendham HS, NJ), who doubled in a run and scored.

Mid-Ohio Bullets blow past FTB P.R. in 4-1 win

Mid-Ohio Bullets Blue jumped to an early lead, scoring two runs in the top of the first inning and made it hold, finishing the game with a 4-1 win over FTB Puerto Rico.

Hunter Sexton (2016, Jackson HS, OH) led the way offensively for the Bullets with a triple, single, two RBI and a run scored. Shane Carney (2016, Highland HS, OH) reached base all three times up, drawing a free pass each time but never crossed the plate. Justin Springer (2016, Mount Vernon HS, OH) had a single and a sac fly, driving in one with Peyton Ley (2016, Granville HS, OH) driving in the only other run, also walking in the contest. The offense also did not strike out at all during the game as they improved to 3-0.

The Bullets gave the ball to Jake Vance (2016, Central Catholic HS, OH) for the start, and he responded with four innings of one hit ball, allowing a run and walking five with four punch outs and a balk. He touched 85 mph with his fastball, sitting 79-84 mph with armside run and sink, and also threw a 63-67 mph 12/6 curve, and good 67-71 mph change up as his out pitch. While the command didn't show up today, he competes on the mound, attacking hitters with a quick arm coming from a high 3/4 arm angle. Colin Shepherd (2016, Olentangy HS, OH) earned the save with three hitless innings, striking out two and also walking two. His velocity reading were not available. 

FTB Puerto Rico got an RBI double from Ivan Houellemont (2016, Undecided, Fajardo, PR) and that was it for base hits. He also reached on an error and stole a base. Adrian Ramos (2016, Undecided, Cidra, PR) scored the lone run after reaching on a walk and stealing a base. Eddiel Lopez (2016, Undecided, Cidra, PR) worked two walks from Bullets pitching and also stole a base.

Livan Rodriguez (2016, Undecided, Cidra, PR) came on in relief and fired 1.2 scoreless and hitless innings, allowing just two walks and uncorking a wild pitch without a strike out. He ran his fastball up to 82 mph in the outing, pitching to contact and letting his defense do the work for him. 

GBSA Sox cruise to a 14-4 win

The GBSA Sox cruised to a 14-4 win on Saturday over Storm Baseball. Myles Broughton (2016, Shiloh HS, GA) led the Sox at the plate, going 2-3 with a double. Broughton also scored a run and drove in 4. Mason Calloway (2016, Newton HS, GA) joined Broughton in collecting 2 hits in the game and stole 3 bases, as well. Calloway finished 2-2 with a run scored and 1 RBI. Caleb Upshaw (2017, Northgate HS, GA) was dangerous on the basepaths, scoring 3 runs in the game. Marquise Glenn (2015, Redan HS, GA) also scored twice for the winners.

Andrew Cain (2016, Grapevine HS, TX) led the offense for Storm Baseball with a 1-3 game at the plate. Cain also doubled and scored a run. Dagan McCombs (2016, Marcus HS, TX) and Seth Howard (2016, John H. Guyer HS, TX) collected an RBI each in the loss.

Triple Crown Warriors rally to win, 10-6

The Triple Crown Warriors scored 6 runs in the top of the sixth-inning to overcome a 6-4 deficit and beat MPi, 10-6 on Saturday. Dustin Parsons (2016, Anderson HS, OH) led the Warriors at the plate with a 2-3 game. Parsons had Triple Crown's big hit of the game with a home run. He also scored 2 runs and drove in 4. 2014 Underclass High Honorable Mention Cole Murphy (2015, Walnut Hills HS, OH) led the team in hits, going 3-4 with a triple and 1 RBI. Bobby Brokamp (2016, Walnut Hills HS, OH) and Alec DeBruler (2016, Arch Bishop Moeller HS, OH) matched Parsons in collecting 2 hits each. Both players scored a run and Brokamp drove in 3 runners with a double.

MPi was led at the plate by Alvaro Valdez (2016, Westminster Christian HS, FL), who was 1-1 with a run scored, a triple, and 1 RBI. Nelson Alvarez (2016, G. Holmes Braddock HS, FL), Christian De Los Santos (2016, Doral Academy Charter HS, FL) and Jordan Ibarra (2016, Coral Gables Senior HS, FL) drove in 1 run each, as well. 

Warriors White outlast Tigers in 4-2 victory

The Jacksonville Warriors White had half of their hit total go for extra bases as they scored three runs in the third inning, holding on to a 4-2 win over the Long Island Tigers.

Ian Foggo (2016, Hilton Head HS, SC) led the way with a solo shot for his only hit of the game. Hunter Hallstrom (2016, Ponte Vedra HS, FL) and JD Norris (2016, Ponte Vedra HS, FL) each doubled for their only hits, with Norris driving in one and coming around to score. Hallstrom also scored after his double. Andrew Rolfsen (2016, Ponte Vedra HS, FL) singled twice, driving in two, and Ryan Kuramoto (2016, Mandarin HS, FL) also singled and scored. 

Justin Vega (2016, Ponte Vedra HS, FL) handled all the pitching duties, throwing five innings with five strike outs and two unearned runs allowed on three hits, a walk, hit by pitch and balk. Vega worked his fastball in the 72-79 mph range, also mixing in a 68 mph hook. 

The best offensive showing for the Long Island Tigers came from Nico Doria (2016, Jericho Senior HS, NY) who singled, scored, and drove in one in two trips to the dish. John Harris (2015, East Meadow HS, NY) also had an RBI single, and Darian Rivas (2016, Long Island Lutheran, NY) scored the other run for the Tigers. Brian Donnelly (2016, Valley Stream South HS, NY) reached on an error and stole a base, but was stranded in scoring position. 

So Cal NTT moves past the Orioles, 7-3

So Cal NTT moved past the East Cobb Orioles on Saturday afternoon, 7-3. Michael Griffin (2016, Bishop Guertin HS, NH) and William Dencker (2016, Newburgh Free Academy HS, NY) led the So Cal offense, each collecting a hit and driving in 2 runs. Ezekiel Berg (2016, Buckinham Browne Nichols HS, MA) also had a significant impact on the game by scoring 2 runs. 

Justin Willis (2017, St. Joseph HS, NJ) and Carson Simmons (2017, Siegel HS, TN) both pitched 2 scoreless innings for the winners. Willis started the game and allowed 0 runs on 1 hit and Simmons pitched the following 2 innings in relief allowing 0 runs on 1 hit, as well.

Kenneth Hartzfeld (2016, The Westminster Schools, GA) and Jack Kouloukas (2016, Roswell HS, GA) led the Orioles offense, both going 2-3 in the game. Hartzfeld also drove in a run and Kouloukas scored once in the loss. Clay Davis (2016, North Gwinnett HS, GA) and Dawson Ewers (2015, Creekview HS, GA) scored the other 2 runs for East Cobb.

Hartzfeld started the game on the mound and pitched a complete game despite getting the loss. Over his 6 innings of work, Hartzfeld struck out 9 batters.

Prospects Underclass roll to 11-0 win

The SWFL Prospects Underclass rolled to an 11-0 win over Pro Source on Saturday afternoon. Clean-up hitter Jonathan Cosme (2015, Gulf Coast HS, FL) led the offense for the Prospects with a 3-4 game at the plate. He also scored 3 runs and drove in 2. Jeffrey Daly (2015, Jefferson HS, FL) collected 3 hits on the day, as well. Daly was 3-3 with a run scored and a run driven in. Tyler Lopes (2016, Seacrest County Day HS, FL) joined Cosme and Daly in having a multi-hit game. Lopes finished 2-3 with a run driven in and 2 runs scored. 

SWFL received quality pitching from Isaiah McIntyre (2016, Blooimngdale HS, FL) and Keon Cuic (2015, Jefferson HS, FL). McIntyre started the game on the mound and pitched 2 innings of scoreless baseball, allowing 2 hits and striking out 1 batter. Cuic pitched the final 3 innings in relief and allowed 0 runs on 1 hit, while striking out 3 to earn the win. 

Team Elite Black drops Renegades American 3-1

Excellent pitching and a three hit game from Tanner Hanes (2016, North Gwinnett HS, GA) led Team Elite Black to a 3-1 win over Naperville Renegades American. 

Hanes singled three times in the game, driving in one with a stolen base. He also accounted for 75% of Team Elite's hits as Dylan Childress (2016, Flowery Branch HS, GA) was the only other player to get a hit, knocking a single. Jonah Crocker (2016, East Hall HS, GA) drove in one on a sac fly, while Shane Smith (2016, Hebron Christian Academy, GA) and Kale Pylant (2016, Mountain View HS, GA) each crossed the plate with Smith reaching on a walk before scoring.

Freddy Achecar (2016, The Lovett School, GA) threw four innings, allowing the only run on five hits, a hit by pitch and no walks with four strike outs. He mixed a 71-75 mph heater with a 61-64 mph curve and 65-69 mph change up to work through the Renegades lineup. John Mullis (2016, White County HS, GA) pitched in two perfect frames with a strike out, and Izaia Walton (2016, Parkview HS, GA) struck out one in his inning of work, allowing a base knock. Mullis sat 82-84 mph with his fastball, also featuring a 65-69 mph hook and 76 mph change up from a 3/4 arm angle with outstanding arm speed and a balanced, online delivery. Walton hit 81 mph on the gun with his fastball, and also threw a 67 mph curve.


Naperville Renegades American actually out-hit Team Elite black six to four but could not capitalize on their chances. Six different players had singles with Blake Nicolls (2016, Metea Valley HS, IL) driving in the only run while Jackson Lewis (2016, Oak Park & River Forest HS, IL) was the lone Renegade to cross the plate. Nicolls was also hit by a pitch and Lewis had a sacrifice in the game as well. 

Danny Miller (2016, Waubonsie Valley HS, IL) was the tough luck loser, striking out a pair while allowing three runs (one earned) on four hits, three walks, a hit batter, wild pitch, and two balks. Miller sat 77-79 mph most of the game, reaching back for as hard as 80 mph with a 64-66 mph breaker and 67-72 mph change up. 

Fourth Inning Spurt Propels Elite Win

The Marucci Elite Houston Red stared down a 4-1 deficit going into the fourth and responded in a huge way, scoring 12 runs in the fourth to command the win from the Florida Legends 13-4 in five innings. The Elite needed only nine hits to reach their 13 runs and nine RBIs.

Tyler Galyean (2016, Cy-Fair HS, TX) took the win for the Elite for his three innings on the mound, allowing eight hits and four runs, two earned, while walking none and striking out four.

Alex Rodriguez (2016, Cypress Bay HS, FL) is credited with the loss for the Legends for his three and two thirds innings on the mound, allowing six hits and nine runs, two earned, while walking six and striking out one. 

Big Fourth Inning Sparks Naperville to Win

Naperville Renegades National turned a 1-0 deficit into a 8-1 lead in one inning, and claimed a 9-4 victory over IBAHS Knights on Saturday at Terry Park.

Quinton Zielke (2016, Waubonsie Valley HS, IL) and Connor Rektorski (2016, Neuqua Valley HS, IL) drove in runs for the Renegades, and Austin Singer (2016, Neuqua Valley HS, IL) led the team with two runs scored. Christian Banczi (2016, Naperville North HS, IL)added two hits, both singles, in the victory.

Liam Heath (2016, Naperville Central HS, IL) was the top pitcher for Naperville, allowing one run over four innings with four strikeouts. His fastball topped out at 81 mph.

Alan Marrero (2016, International Baseball Academy, PR) drove in two runs for the Knights, and Christopher Rabell (2016, International Baseball Academy, PR) and Jose Pizarro (2016, International Baseball Academy, PR) each drove in one in the losing effort.

Sixth Inning Spurt Gives Banditos Blowout Win

The Austin Banditos took a 4-1 lead into the bottom of the sixth and expanded on it in a big way, exploding for five runs to take a 9-1 blowout win over Next Level in six innings. The Banditos knocked in 11 hits by seven different players and were led by a standout game from Austin Todd (2016, Round Rock HS, TX). Todd finished 3-4 at the plate with two RBIs, two runs scored, and a stolen base to lead an offense that saw four players log multiple RBIs. 

Mason Thompson (2016, Round Rock HS, TX) tossed four innings for the Banditos and was rewarded with the win for his efforts after allowing two hits and no runs while walking two and striking out seven with a fastball averaging 85 mph and topping out at 89 mph. The Texas recruit showed effortless arm action and a smooth delivery of a three-pitch rotation featuring a curveball, change up, and fastball.


Second Inning Spurt Gives Surge Win

The Florida Surge responded to three runs in the first inning by the So Cal NTT by doubling up and scoring six in the second to cruise to a 9-3 win in five innings. The Surge needed only seven hits to get their nine runs and were led offensively by Bubba Sangster (2016, Umatilla HS, FL). Sangster had a perfect game at the plate, finishing 2-2 with an RBI, a double and two runs scored as Shendell Winright (2014, Royal Palm Beach HS, FL) added in a game-high three RBIs with a double. So Cal's offense struggled to get started, logging two hits that were both doubles.

Dom Paolo (2015, Elev8 Sports Institute, FL) took the win for the Surge for his four innings on the mound. Paolo allowed two hits and three runs, all earned, while walking four and striking out none before being relieved in the final inning. 

Naperville Renegades rock PBA Black 10-0

Naperville Renegades National put up a six spot in the second inning, leading them to a 10-0 blow out over PBA Black. 

Jason Behnke (2016, Metea Valley HS, IL) was a perfect 2-2 at the plate, also working two walks and scoring once. Rinalien plated two with a double, single, and a walk, also coming in to score once. Ryan Mecaskey (2016, Metea Valley HS, IL) walked all three times up and also came around to score while Austin Singer (2016, Neuqua Valley HS, IL) drove in one and scored twice after reaching on a pair of singles. Beau Buchanan (2016, Naperville Central HS, IL) drove in two with a single and a walk, also scoring once. 

Connor Rektorski (2016, Neuqua Valley HS, IL) got the start for the Renegades, throwing four scoreless frames with five punch outs, two hits, and two walks allowed with a wild pitch. His fastball peaked at 87 mph while sitting in the 77-84 mph range with a 67-69 mph curve. Conor Goerg (2016, Neuqua Valley HS, IL) finished it off with a scoreless inning, dancing around three walks with no hits or strike outs. Goerg was fastball only, sitting 67-72 mph with a max velocity of 74 mph.

Christian Faldetta (2016, Charlotte HS, FL) picked up one of the two hits in the game for PBA Black, singling and also working a walk. Will Nelson (2016, Desoto County HS, FL) added the other hit, a single, but was stranded on base. Trey Fields (2017, Lemon Bay HS, FL) threw 1.1 scoreless frames, striking out two with two hits allowed and no walks. Fields sat 76-80 mph with his fastball, mixing it up with a 64-68 mph hook. Michael Marcelak (2016, Evangelical Christian, FL) did not get the results he wanted, but did hit 85 mph with his fastball, sitting 79-84 mph with a 69-72 mph curve.

Patriots Shutout, 3-0

The East Cobb Patriots knocked in six hits, but couldn't get on the board and fell 3-0 to the SACSN National Team. Ryan Stark (2016, Wellington HS, FL) powered the SACSN offense to ten team hits from seven different players with a perfect game at the plate, finishing 3-3 with a stolen base. Patrick Lewis (2016, Georgia Military College- Prep School) sparked the Patriot offense with a 2-3 game. 

Lael Lockhart, Jr (2016, Friendswood HS, TX) picked up the win for SACSN for his four innings on the mound. Lockhart allowed three hits and no runs while walking one and striking out 11 batters with a fastball averaging 81 mph and topping out at 85 mph.

Rodney Randers, Jr. (2016, Sandy Creek HS, GA) took the loss for the Patriots for his five and a third innings on the mound. Randers allowed ten hits and three runs, two earned, while walking one and striking out three with a fastball averaging 78 mph and topping out at 81 mph. 

West Morris Wins in Combined No-Hitter

Ben McKenna (2015, Whippany Park HS, NJ) and Adam Jasper (2016, West Morris Mendham HS, NJ) combined on a no-hitter for West Morris Minutemen, and claimed a 4-2 victory over Beyel Brothers Bulldogs on Saturday at Terry Park.

McKenna pitched 4.2 innings, allowing an unearned run and six walks. He struck out four, and his fastball peaked at 78 mph. Adam Jasper worked 1.1 innings, and his fastball topped out at 77 mph.

August Samek (2017, Paramus Catholic HS, NJ) and Tom Githens (2016, West Morris Mendham HS, NJ) drove in runs for the Minutemen, and Patrick O’Hare (2016, Seton Hall Prep HS, NJ), Jack Corcoran (2016, Delbarton HS, NJ), and Corey DeCamp (2016, West Morris Mendham HS, NJ) scored runs in the victory.

The best pitcher for the Bulldogs was Kasim Nabhan (2016, Rockledge Senior HS, FL), who did not allow an earned run over three innings, and struck out four hitters. His fastball reached 74 mph.

Blake Beyel (2016, Cocoa HS, FL) and Brady Martello (2016, Rockledge Senior HS, FL) scored the runs for the Bulldogs, and Austin Dennis (2015, Rockledge Senior HS, FL) drove one in.

Roadrunners Blank BPA White

Team Elite Roadrunners cruised past BPA White, picking up the 7-0 shutout win and remaining undefeated heading into bracket play. The Roadrunners knocked in seven hits from seven different players with Kole Cottam (2015, Knoxville Catholic HS, TN) making the most of his one hit to finish 1-2 with two RBIs and a run scored. 

Evan Floyd (2016, Pensacola HS, FL) took the win for the Roadrunners for his three innings on the mound to start off the game. Floyd allowed two hits and no runs while walking three and striking out five with a fastball averaging 85 mph and topping out at 88 mph.

Jacob Wood (2016, Oviedo HS, FL) tossed all six innings for BPA White, but took the loss after allowing seven hits and seven runs, six earned, while walking one and striking out three with a fastball averaging 79 mph and topping out at 83 mph. 

643 DP Cougars win 6-5 on walk-off walk

Down by one heading into their final at bat, 643 DP Cougars Sterling plated two and ended the game on a bases loaded walk by Ostingers Baseball Academy Select.

The Cougars received doubles from Parker McCoy (2016, Walton HS, GA) and Patrick McDonald (2016, Woodberry Forest HS, GA) with each driving in one and scoring once while McCoy added a single. Pete Derkay (2016, Allatoona HS, GA) got on base three times with a single and a walk, also reaching on an error. Jay Shadday (2016, The Darlington School, GA) worked a pair of walks and stole a bag while Grayson Harbin (2016, Allatoona HS, GA) also swiped one, reaching on a single and an error.

Christopher Hummel (2016, Walton HS, GA) left with the win, throwing an inning with one unearned run allowed on a hit and hit by pitch, striking out two. His heater sat 78-82 mph with a 64-71 mph hook and 71-74 mph change up. 


Ostingers Select got a pair of innings from Brandon Harris (2016, Strawberry Crest HS, FL) who struck out two and allowed just one hit. Harris topped out at 89 mph in his appearance, sitting 85-88 mph with his fastball while throwing a 73-74 mph curve and 74 mph change up. Nathan Chevalier (2017, Bloomingdale HS, FL) hit 86 mph on the gun with his heater, sitting 81-84 mph with a 72-76 mph hook mixed in. 



Warriors and FTB Battle to Scoreless Tie

The Jacksonville Warriors and FTB Puerto Rico battled hard and when the dust cleared, the scoreboard showed a 0-0 tie. Neither team could get their offenses going thanks to some standout pitching from both bullpens, combining for only seven hits and and three walks.

Luis Rivera (2016, Cidra, PR) tossed the full seven innings for FTB, allowing two hits and no runs while walking two and picking up nine strikeouts with a three-pitch rotation that featured a curveball, a slider, and a fastball averaging 74 mph and topping out at 79 mph.

Mark Mixon (2016, Yulee HS, FL) and Hunter Hallstrom (2016, Ponte Verde HS, FL) shared the mound for the Warriors with Mixon finishing with three hits and three strikeouts as Hallstrom allowed two hits and one walk. 

Early Lead Enough for Prospects

The South Florida Prospects took advantage of an early error to score three runs in the bottom of the first and would need every one of them to beat the Florida Burn Gold 4-3. The Prospects were outhit 5-9 and out-fielded by the Burn, as the Burn defense turned six double plays. Thomas Orr (2016, Coral Springs Christian Academy, FL) did the most with his one hit for the Prospects, finishing 1-3 with an RBI and a run scored. Trevor Losada (2016, Lakewood Ranch HS, FL) sparked the Burn offense with a 2-3 outing with two run scored, a stolen base and a double.

Brett Lawson (2016, Calvary Christian Academy, FL) took the win for the Prospects for his three innings on the mound to start the game. Lawson allowed three hits and no runs, while walking one and striking out one. 

No-Hitter Leads to 13-2 Victory

SWFL got the job done both offensively and defensively in a commanding win over the FBH Angels Gold 13-2 in five innings. SWFL needed only nine hits from its offense to score the 13 runs and were led offensively by Bobby Stewart (2016, Naples HS, FL) and Anthony Churlin (2016, Island Coast HS, FL). Stewart went 2-3 at the plate with an RBI, a stolen base, a run scored, and a double with Churlin, a USF recruit, adding in a perfect 2-2 game with an RBI and two runs scored as Bryan Eberle (2016, Canterbury HS, FL) knocked in a 2-out grand slam in the bottom of the fifth to end the game in fashion.

Three SWFL pitchers teamed up for the no-hitter with Zac Uecker (2016, North Port HS, FL) taking the win for his two innings pitched. Uecker allowed two runs, one earned, while walking four and striking out two with mound presence and positive control of his pitches all around the plate. 

Davon Terry (2019, Blake High School-Magnet, FL) took the loss for the Angels for his three innings pitched, allowing five hits and seven runs, five earned, while walking two and striking out one.

Consistent Offense Gives Sox 6-2 Win

The GBSA Sox showed consistency throughout the game and took the win 6-2 over the MBA Pride Elite. The defense and pitching shined for the Sox as they held the Pride Elite to only one hit, a single from Tucker Bradley (2016, Gordon Lee HS, GA) and one RBI as the offense knocked in seven hits to control the game. 

Layton Thomas (2015, Okeechobee HS, FL) took the win for the Sox for his five and two thirds innings on the mound. Thomas allowed one hit and two runs, one earned, while walking five and striking out four.

Chase Sanguinetti (2018, Jesuit HS, FL) is credited with the loss for the Pride Elite for his four innings on the mound, allowing three hits and four runs, two earned, while walking five and striking out one. 

OTC Baseball wears out FBH Angels 9-1

Donald Hammond III (2016, Luella HS, GA) powered the OTC Baseball offense while Colton Bailey (2017, Locust Grove HS, GA) was lights out on the mound, combining to top FBH Angels Gold by the score of 9-1.

Hammond III was a perfect 3-3 in today's action, racking up three singles with three runs batted in and two runs scored with a pair of stolen bases. Orod Rodriguez (2016, Locust Grove HS, GA) drove in two with a single, and Jake Farrar (2016, LaGrange HS, GA) scored three runs after reaching on a walk, single, fielder's choice, and also stole a bag. Tanner Tolbert (2016, Union Grove HS, GA) reached base twice by wearing one and working a walk, scoring both times with an RBI. 

Bailey tossed five innings on the bump, allowing just one unearned run on two hits, three walks, and a hit batter with five strike outs. His fastball sat in the 71-75 mph range with a 55-65 mph curve and 68 mph change up, coming from an overtop arm angle with an athletic frame. 

Jeffrey Corona (2017, Bartow Senior HS, FL) and Tanner Janego (2016, Newsome HS, FL) recorded the only two hits for the Angels, with Janego roping a double and Corona reaching on a single. Both were left stranded on the bases though. Ferrante Cowart (2018, Middle School, Lakeland, FL) reached on a walk, stole a base then came around to score the only run. 

Cowart wasn't sharp on the mound, throwing three innings with six runs allowed and three strike outs. His heater was in the 71-78 mph range, peaking at 79 mph with a 59-66 mph curve and 68-69 mph change up mixed in. 

Prime Blanks PBA Black 4-0

Team Elite Prime took advantage of seven fielding errors from PBA Black and left with the shutout win 4-0. Both teams knocked in five hits, but it was the errors that lost the game for PBA. Prime spread the hits throughout its lineup as five different players logged a hit with Nick Wilhite (2016, Buford HS, GA) doing the most with his one hit, finishing the game 1-2 with an RBI, a double and a run scored.

Nate Richardson (2016, Hillgrove HS, GA) took home the win for Prime for his five innings on the mound. Richardson allowed four hits but no runs, while walking one and striking out none with a fastball averaging 72 mph and topping out at 82 mph. 



Team Elite Black Blank TigerTown 5-0

Team Elite Black turned three double plays and took advantage of two fielding errors on the way to a 5-0 shutout win over TigerTown K2Pro. Team Elite knocked in eleven team hits from seven different batters, all led by Freddy Achecar (2016, The Lovett School, GA). Achecar finished the game a perfect 4-4 at the plate with two RBIs and a run scored with a double and a double play on defense as Tanner Hanes (2016, North Gwinnett HS, GA) added in a 2-3 game at the plate with an RBI, two stolen bases, a walk and two runs scored. TigerTown struggled to get their offense going, logging only two hits with one being a double from Cash Case (2017, Montverde Academy, FL).

Richard Schiver (2016, George Walton Academy, FL) took home the win for Team Elite Black for his three and a third innings on the mound. Schiver allowed only one hit and no runs while walking two and striking out five with a fastball averaging 79 mph and topping out at 84 mph.

Caleb Stafford (2016, South Lake HS, FL) took the loss for TigerTown for his five innings on the mound. Stafford allowed seven hits and three runs, all earned, while walking two and striking out one with a fastball averaging 78 mph and topping out at 81 mph.

The Ostingers Baseball Academy Select wasted no time taking control of the game, scoring six runs in the first inning and cruising to an 8-0 shutout win over Bullet Baseball. Ostingers needed only five hits to reach eight runs and eight RBIs and were led offensively by Connor Grady (2017, Tampa Catholic HS, FL). Grady finished 1-3 at the plate with four RBIs and one run scored thanks to a grand slam in the first inning. 

Matt Trzeciak (2016, Strawberry Crest HS, FL) picked up the win for Ostingers for his three innings on the mound, allowing no hits or runs while walking none and striking out three with a fastball averaging 80 mph and topping out at 82 mph. 

Coastal Prospects Add A Run to End in 3-3 Tie

The Coastal Prospects American tied Team Elite Alpharetta 3-3 at the end of seven innings. 

Maxwell Wadsworth (2016, Madison, GA) added two singles and a run for Team Elite to lead his team. Walker Lawrence (2016, Jasper, GA) and Daniel Mickelson (2016, Alpharetta, GA) each added on a RBI single to add on two runs. Gavin Dooley (2016, Atlanta, GA) roped the only extra base hit for the team with a double. 

Jordan Dobson (2016, Marietta, GA) tossed two scoreless innings without a hit. He walked one and struck out two batters on his 77 mph fastball. Wadsworth also pitched by going two innings by only allowing one hit and no runs, He struck out a pair of batters without a walk given up. He uses his lower half with good hip rotation. He showed a late breaking curve to keep batters off balance. He ran the gun up to 81 mph. 

Brian Intorcia (2017, Jacksonville, FL) went a perfect 2-2 for the Coastal Prospects with a pair of singles and a RBI and a run. Colton Yeager (2016, Jacksonville, FL) contributed a RBI single for his team. Intorcia tossed six innings with eight hits that fell with two of the three runs being earned. He did not walk a batter with a pair of strikeouts. 

Offensive Swings Lead to Indiana Win

In a game that came down to two innings, the Indiana Prospects squeezed out a win over the All American Prospects West 7-6 to give them their first loss of the tournament. The whole ballgame came down to the fifth and sixth innings; West struck first with five runs in the top of the fifth to be answered by one run from Indiana. West added in one more run in the top of the second before the rally began and Indiana knocked in six runs to take the win.

Five of the Indiana Prospects' seven team hits went for doubles as the offense was led by Ty Reginelli (2015, Mars Area HS, PA). Reginelli went 2-3 at the plate with two RBIs and a double while also picking up the save from the mound, tossing the final two and a third innings and allowing two hits and no runs while walking two and striking out five. 

Conrado Skepple (2015, Bloomingdale HS, FL) is credited with the win for Indiana for his three and a third innings pitched. Skepple allowed seven hits and six runs, none earned, while walking none and striking out five with a fastball averaging 85 mph and topping out at 88 mph.

Stephen Jenkins (2017, Plant HS, FL) took the loss for the West Prospects for his three innings on the mound. Jenkins allowed four hits and three runs, all earned, while walking one and striking out none. 

Team Elite Prime Take Down Knights 4-1

Team Elite Prime defeated IBAHS Knights 4-1 in seven innings. 

William Holland (2016, Suwanee, GA) came in the clutch for Team Elite with a RBI double and a run in the game. Nick Wilhite (2016, Buford, GA) helped with a RBI and a double in the game too. Sawyer Smith (2016, Cantonment, FL) added a single and a run for Team Elite. 

Will Ethridge (2016, Lilburn, GA) tossed the first two innings. He did not allow a hit or a run. He struck out a pair of hits without giving up a walk. He ran the gun up to 91 mph that displayed arm side run with a short arm circle in the back. Zach Linginfelter (2016, Sevierville, TN) tossed a scoreless two frames with a pair of hits. He struck out four batters while not walking a batter. He topped out at 92 mph with his fastball. He showed a good extension out front with a high 3/4 arm angle. Wilhite also took the mound for two innings. He let two hits fall with the lone run score. He struck out five batters without a single walk. He also maxed the gun up to 89 with his fastball. 

Nationals and Citrus Battle to 6-6 Tie

The Coastal Prospects Nationals and Team Rawlings Citrus battled into a 6-6 tie after a full seven innings of play. Team Rawlings outplayed their opponents with a 9-5 hit count and a 2-6 strikeout count and were led offensively by Ronald Washington (2017, Dulles HS, TX) and Norberto Cervantes (2017, Laredo United HS, TX). Washington powered his way to a 2-4 game at the plate with three RBIs, two runs scored and a stolen base thanks to a three-run home run in the bottom of the third. Cervantes added a consistent bat and finished 2-3 with an RBI

SWFL Navy Moves to 2-1 with 12-1 Win

SWFL Navy scored six runs in two separate innings, and rolled to a 12-1 victory over Storm Baseball on Saturday in Fort Myers.

Playing near home, SWFL Navy was led by Kevin Long (2017, Estero HS, FL) and Charles Oberst (2015, Indian Rocks Christian School, FL), who drove in three runs each. Terence Hebda (2016, Cardinal Mooney HS, FL), McLean Harris (2016, Gulf Coast HS, FL), and Long added two hits, while Blake Carroll (2016, Bishop McLaughlin Catholic HS, FL), Hebda, and Joshua Lamoureux (2016, Clearwater Central Catholic HS, FL) scored two runs in the victory.

The top pitcher for SWFL was Peter Bozek (2016, Riverview HS, FL), who tossed two scoreless, hitless innings. He displayed a fastball that topped out at 75 mph.

The lone run for Storm Baseball was driven in by Dagan McCombs (2016, Marcus HS, TX) and scored by Seth Howard (2016, John H. Guyer, TX). Howard added a double, the only extra bas ehit recorded by Storm Baseball.

Insurance Helps SWFL In 7-2 Victory

The SWFL defeated the Danditos Houston 7-2 in seven innings. 

Vidal and Bobby Stewart (2016, Naples, FL) led the surge for the SWFL. Vidal had three hits, all were singles, while scoring twice. Stewart helped with a double and a single with a pair of runs. Anthony Churlin (2016, Cape Coral, FL) and Billy Zeliff (2016, Naples, FL) each contributed a single with a RBI. 

Jordan Spicer (2015, Hialeah, FL) tossed the first two innings with a pair of hits. He did not allow a run with a pair of strike outs with a walk. He ran the gun up to 87 mph with his fastball. 

Late Runs Lead to Banditos Win

The Banditos of Austin took the 6-3 win over the All American Prospects with three late runs, two in the fifth and one in the sixth. The Banditos' offense knocked in nine hits from eight different players and were led by Patrick Bannister (2016, Round Rock HS, TX). Bannister finished a perfect 2-2 at the plate with an RBI and a run scored to help the offense overcome four defensive fielding errors. The Prospects' offense struggled to get going outside the third inning, logging only three hits. 

Ryan Bauer (2016, Round Rock HS, TX) took the win for the Banditos for his three innings on the mound to start out the game. Bauer allowed two hits and three runs, none earned, while walking one and striking out there with a fastball averaging 78 mph and topping out at 81 mph.

The Banditos North defeated the South Florida Prospects 6-2 in seven innings. 

Jacob Quintero (2016, Hoouston, TX) and Lane Mize (2016, Spring, TX) each contributed a a double along with two RBIs in the game, and Mize also scored once and roped another single on the game. Dylan Postma (2016, Spring, TX) helped by going 2-3 with a double and a single while driving in a RBI and a run. Josh Campbell (2016, Angleton, TX) finished the day going 1-3 with a RBI and a run along with a pair of walks. 

Jason Walker (2016, Angleton, TX) tossed 5.1 innings for the Banditos with scattering seven hits with only one earned run. He struck out a pair on his 76n mph fastball. Jake Sandoval (2016, Houston, TX) pitched the last 1.2 innings with a pair of hits and no runs to score. He struck out a batter on his 72 mph fastball. 

Thomas Orr (2016, Deerfield Beach, FL) tried to get a rally started for the Prospects by going 2-4 with a RBI. Logan Langham (2016, Naples, FL) helped with a RBI single. Zac Clark (2016, Deerfield Beach, FL) also helped with a pair of hits, double and single, with a run. 

OTC Baseball Holds On to 6-4 Win

OTC Baseball scored two needed insurance runs in the top of the seventh, and hung on to claim a 6-4 victory over Banditos Houston on Saturday in Fort Myers.

OTC Baseball runs were driven in by Jake Farrar (2016, Lagrange HS, GA), Drew Compton (2016, Spalding HS, GA), and Colton Bailey (2017, Locust Grove HS, GA). Farrar and Bailey had two hits each, while Tyler Goddard (2016, Union Grove HS, GA) and Ernie Valintin (2016, Luella HS, GA) added one hit each. Compton had two runs scored to provide the winning margin of victory.

Orod Rodriguez (2016, Locust Grove HS, GA) tossed a complete game with seven strikeouts for OTC, allowing one run on four hits. His fastball topped out at 82 mph.

Banditos Houston also drove in three runs, provided by Blane Cannon (2016, Northland Christian School, TX), Dalton Barcello (2017, Klein Forest HS, TX), and Tyler Rosplock (2017, Klein Collins HS, TX).

Nicholas Beaty (2016, John Cooper HS, TX) pitched very well for the Banditos, hurling 3.2 scoreless, hitless innings. He struck out four, and his fastball topped out at 81 mph.

Barrett Baseball Raiders Win with Four Hits

Barrett Baseball Raiders used just four hits to defeat Banditos North, 7-0, on Saturday in Fort Myers.

Parker Morrison (2016, Forsyth Central HS, GA) clubbed a pair of triples, scoring two runs and driving in three. Riley Halstead (2016, West Forsyth HS, GA) added a run batted in, while Bailey Gerstner (2016, North Forsyth HS, GA) scored two runs. Hugh York (2016, North Forsyth HS, GA) and Pierce Nufer (2016, Forsyth Central HS, GA) had the other two hits for the Raiders.

Halstead and Tristan Sumpter (2016, Peachtree Ridge HS, GA) combined on a shutout for the Raiders, as Halstead struck out three hitters and Sumpter K’d five. Halstead’s fastball topped out at 83 mph, and Sumpter’s peaked at 78 mph.

Dylan Postma (2016, Klein Collins HS, TX) provided two hits of the six for the Banditos. JR Robinson (2016, Cy-Fair HS, TX) also added a double in the loss.

FTB Puerto Rico defeated the Long Island Tigers 9-3 in seven innings. 

Anthony Morales (2016, Aibonito, PR) and Ivan Houellemont (2016, Fajardo, PR) helped FTB Puerto Rico by going 1-3 with a RBI two runs. Luis A Rivera (2016, Cidra, PR) and Hendrick Ortiz (2016, Yabucoa, PR) each tacked on a hit each with a RBI and a run. Ortiz, Houellemont, and Alexander Reyes (2016, Cidra, PR) totaled the three extra base hits for the team with a double each. Josue Torres (2016, Cidra, PR) took the mound allowing four hits and three runs in seven innings. He struck out five batters with only one walk. He ran the gun up to 79 mph with his fastball. 

Ben McNeil (2016, Commack, NY) tried to get a spark for the Tigers offense going 1-2 with two RBIs. Eric Belyea (2016, Glen Cove, NY), Brandon Gianikos (2016, Oyster Bay, NY), and John Harris (2015, Levittown, NY) each contributed a single and a run. Randyl Monroe (2015, Brooklyn, NY) tossed 1.1 innings without allowing a hit with one run. He struck out two batters. 

Six Run Fifth Leads Mid-Ohio Bullets to Win

Mid-Ohio Bullets Blue scored six runs in the fifth to break a 2-2 tie, and claimed an 8-5 victory over Long Island Tigers on Saturday in Fort Myers.

Cody Gabriel (2016, Upper Sandusky HS, OH) led the run production for the Bullets, scoring two runs and driving in another. Brandon Henson (2016, Pickerington HS Central, OH) added two runs scored, and Reed Norris (2015, St. Francis de Sales HS, OH) drove in a run and scored another. Justin Springer (2016, Mount Vernon HS, OH) recorded the only two-hit game for the Bullets, singling twice.

Zach Bowden (2016, St. Francis de Sales HS, OH) earned the win for the Bullets, pitching five innings without allowing an earned run. He struck out seven hitters, and his fastball topped out at 84 mph.

Runs were driven in for the Tigers by Nico Doria (2016, Jericho Senior HS, NY) and Brian Donnelly (2016, Valley Stream South HS, NY). Kevin Urena (2016, HS of Telecommunications, NY) added two singles and a run scored in the losing effort.

Six Inning Drama Favors Bullet Baseball

The Bullet Baseball defeated the Elite Squad TPX 6-5 in six innings. 

Joey Patrick (2016, Beaumont, TX) led the surge for Bullet Baseball with a pair of base hits with a RBI and a run. Jackson Gore (2016, Kirbyville, TX), Jack Dallas (2017, Orange, TX), and Ryon Stubblefield (2017, Lake Charles, LA) each contributed a hit along with a RBI, and Stubblefield collected a double with his one hit. Ty Cleveland (2016, Kirbyville, TX) helped with a triple that he later scored on. Drake Trawhon (2016, Mauriceville, TX) led the pitching staff going 2.1 innings with only one hit with one run that was unearned. He was able to run the gun up to 81 mph. 

Elijiah Euesbio (2016, Miami, FL) led the surge for the Elite Squad TPX. He went a perfect 3-3 with a double and two singles. He was able to drive in three RBIs for the team. Fat Cat Thunder Strike Past Florida Burn Silver

The Fat Cat Thunder defeated the Florida Burn Silver 8-1 in seven innings. 

Taylor Bauman (2016, Cumming, GA) was the lead off batter for Fat Cat, and he showed some power with a two RBI homer in the game. Mathew Delise (2016, Cumming, GA) helped out with a double and a single with a RBI and a run. Bradley Rodden (2016, Cumming, GA) stroked a RBI single while scoring twice. Triston Campbell (2016, Cumming, GA) contributed a base knock, and Hunter Bauman (2016, Cumming, GA) helped by adding another double for the team. 

Caleb Dixon (2015, Cumming, GA) shut down the Florida Burn with his five innings of work. He let four hits fall without an earned run. He struck out five with only one walk given up. He showed good command while pitching down hill. He attacked hitters with his arm side run on his fastball that touched 82 mph. Parker Biederer (2016, Cumming, GA) shut down the opposition with the last two innings. He let a pair of hits fall without a run to score. He only struck out one batter. 

Maclane Bell (2016, Valrico, FL) tried to spark Florida Burn with a pair of base hits. Jake Angel (2016, Dayton Beach, FL) helped with a hit and a run. Jack Bodner (2016, Tierra Verde, FL) tossed two strong innings and let only a hit fall without a run to score. He did not walk a batter while striking out two batters with his 77 mph fastball. 

C-Ball Pulls Away for Win

C-Ball pulled away in the fifth inning, claiming a 5-2 victory over Florida Pokers Underclass Navy on Saturday in Fort Myers.

C-Ball received runs batted in from Bo Gonzales (2017, Sandra Day O’Connor HS, TX), Tyler Dick (2016, Holmes HS, TX), and Mike Helmke (2017, Churchill HS, TX). Five different players scored one run a piece for C-Ball. Gonzales ended his game with three hits, including a double and one of the runs.

Ricky Garcia (2017, Warren HS, TX) earned the win for C-Ball, allowing just two hits over four innings. His fastball topped out at 75 mph.

Two RBIs were recorded by the Pokers, coming from Rhett Rampinelli (2016, Lakewood Ranch HS, FL), and Matt Mackey (2016, Manatee HS, FL). Ryan Proietto (2016, North Broward Prep, FL) and Daniel Roth (2016, JP Taravella HS, FL) scored the two runs, and six players had one hit each.

Larry Frishberg (2017, Monsignor Pace HS, FL) pitched well, as he did not allow an earned run over 3.1 innings. His fastball peaked at 73 mph.

Early Runs Propel Goose's Gamers

Goose’s Gamers scored three runs in back-to-back innings, claiming a 7-4 victory over East Cobb Orioles in Fort Myers on Saturday.

The Gamers will led by Salvatore Gozzo (2016, Mark T. Sheehan HS, CT), who doubled and drove in three runs. Alexander Parkos (2015, Xavier HS, CT), Manuel Alejandro (2015, East Hartford HS, CT), and Brian Anderson (2015, Daniel Hand HS, CT) added one run batted in each. Six different Gamers recorded one hit, and Kevin Santiago (2015, Trumbull HS, CT) led the team with two runs scored.

Gozzo was also the leader on the mound, as he allowed just one earned run with seven strikeouts. His fastball topped out at 86 mph.

Austin Banditos scored five runs in the first two innings, and went on defeat Florida Burn Silver, 7-3, at City of Palms Park on Saturday.

Austin Todd (2016, Round Rock HS, TX) led the Banditos at the plate, driving in two runs, scoring another, and recording one hit. Texas State commit Ryland Cox (2016, Taylor HS, TX), Kragen Kechely (2016, Vista Ridge HS, TX), and D’Mond LaFond (2017, Cuero HS, TX) each drove in one run, while LaFond led the team with two runs scored.

Christopher Logan (2015, Bowie HS, TX) earned the win for the Banditos, tossing five scoreless innings. He struck out six hitters, and his fastball topped out at 83 mph. Brad Demco (2016, Lake Travis HS, TX) pitched the final inning, and his fastball peaked at 82 mph.

Rawlings America National scored runs in four out of six innings, and seized a 6-2 victory over BPE Titans on Saturday at City of Palms Park in Fort Myers.

Brock Saparto (2016, Clear Falls HS, TX) led the way for Rawlings, driving in a pair of runs with a double. Caleb Jeter (2016, Alvin Reach HS, TX), Corben Henry (2016, Alvin Reach HS, TX), Ethan Montes (2016, Pasadena Memorial HS, TX), and Beau Olsovsky (2016, Alvin Reach HS, TX) added one run batted in. Montes led the team with two hits, and Jeter scored three runs.

Nicholas Garza (2016, Atascocita HS, NJ) earned the win on the mound, allowing two runs over five innings. He struck out two, and his fastball topped out at 75 mph. Henry fired a perfect frame, and his fastball peaked at 80 mph.

A single from Zoned RedHawks Elite’s Mike Rica (2016, Ridge HS, NJ) provided the winning run, giving the RedHawks a 4-3 win over BPT Hurricanes on Saturday in Fort Myers.

Rica’s walk off single was one of two runs batted in for the RedHawks, with the other provided by John Sheedy (2016, Bishop George Ahr HS, NJ). Sheedy and Alex Thul (2016, Bridgewater-Raritin HS, NJ) both had two hits, and Frank Logiudice (2016, JP Stevens HS, NJ), Thul, Ethan Lott (2016, Somerville HS, NJ), and Rica provided the team’s four runs.

Andrew Prescott (2016, Somerville HS, NJ) pitched the first four innings, and allowed three runs with three strikeouts. Rica earned the win with two scoreless, hitless innings. Prescott’s fastball topped out at 79 mph, and Rica’s reached 82 mph.

SWFL Prospects Underclass held on for a 9-8 victory over Orlando Baseball Academy 2016 in Fort Myers on Saturday.

Jeffrey Daly (2015, Jefferson HS, FL) and Jonathan Cosme (2015, Gulf Coast HS, FL) drove in two runs each for the Prospects. Colin Miller (2015, Barron Collier HS, FL) and Tyler Lopes (2016, Seacrest County Day School, FL) added one run batted in each. Daly and Cosme also provided five of the team’s six hits, while Daly, David Chidsey (2016, Gulf Coast HS, FL), and Charles Marsala (2016, Gulf Coast HS, FL) scored two runs each in the victory.

He singled in the first and third innings and tripled in the sixth inning. Tyler Shuck (Canterbury, Cape Corral, FL 2017) was the hot hitter for the Xtreme Baseball. He went 1-3 for the day with scoring one run. Team Demarini Puerto Rico offense today had seven runs scored on nine hits for the game.

Angel Reyes (Escuela Papa Juan 23 Especializada, Bayamon, PR 2015) got the win for Team Demarini Puerto Rico. He allowed one run over five innings with striking out five, walked three and surrendered five hits. Alex Gonzalez couldn't get it done on the bump today for the Xtreme Baseball with taking the loss. He lasted just three innings, walked two, struck out none, and allowed three runs. Reyes fastball range for the game was 84-87 mph.

SCORE International cruises past Naperville Renegades American, 7-1 victory. Ryan Mejia (Alonso, Tampa, FL 2016) paced SCORE International at the plate. He went 1-4 with driving in one and scored two runs, also he homered in the first inning. Sam Cummings (Oswego East, Aurora, IL 2016) was the ho hitter for the Naperville Renegades American. He went 1-1 for the game with a two walks.

SCORE International relied on their ace Kevin Tabares (Alonso, Tampa, FL 2016) to eat up innings to help get the victory. He tossed seven innings and allowed one earned run, three hits and five walks while striking out two. Jackson Lewis (Oak Park & River Forest, Oak Park, IL 2016) took the loss for Naperville Renegades American. He lasted just four innings, walked three, struck out four and allowed four runs. Lewis fastball range for the game was 77-80 mph.

Palm Beach Rallies for Win

Palm Beach Select scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth and final inning, claiming a 7-6 victory over Glen Allen Xtreme on Saturday in Fort Myers.

Palm Beach got four runs batted in, one each from Alec Bowman (2016, Boca Raton Community HS, FL), Richard Bowden (2016, Jupiter HS, FL), Samuel Fockler (2016, Jupiter HS, FL), and Ed Pfluger (2016, Martin County HS, FL). J. Sebastian Grey (2016, Jupiter HS, FL) and Ian Carlos Claudio (2016, Lincoln Park Academy, FL) added one hit each, and Claudio scored two runs in the victory.

Kennedy Granato (2016, Martin County HS, FL) had a very good game on the mound for Palm Beach, working three scoreless innings with three strikeouts. His fastball topped out at 76 mph.

Andrew Foster (2016, Atlee HS, VA) led the Xtreme with two runs batted in, and Theron Powell (2016, Steward HS, FL) and Hunter Cochrane (2017, Glen Allen HS, VA) added one run batted in each. Connor Dopp (2017, Glen Allen HS, VA) supplied two singles, and six different Xtreme players scored one run each.

Dopp was the top pitcher for the Xtreme, allowing no earned runs over four innings with three strikeouts. His fastball peaked at 79 mph.

Florida Burn Pennant Offense too much

The Florida Burn Pennant offense was too much, as they went on to defeat Team Tampa Bay 8-0 in six innings.

Scott Dubrule (2016, Venice Senior HS, FL) went 2-3 in the game, with two RBIs.  Alex Crotty (2016, Bishop Moore HS, FL) also went 2-3 with two RBIs.  Tyler Dyson (2016, Braden River HS, FL) and Rylan Thomas (2016, West Orange HS, FL) a UCF commit, each contributed with a double a piece.  Thomas finished the game going 2-3 with one run scored and one RBI.  Nicholas Baldor (2016, Jesuit HS, FL) and Johnnie Schneider (2015, Calvary Christian HS, FL) each pitched three innings for Pennant.  Both showed impressive fastballs that topped out at 87 mph.

For Team Tampa, leadoff hitter Garrett Back (2016, Tampa Catholic HS, FL) went 1-3 with a double.

Ryan Dobson (Marcus, Highland Village, TX 2016) went perfect 3-3 at the plate for Frozen Ropes Badarack. He singled in the first and third innings and doubled in the fifth inning. Caston McDonald (South Forsyth, Cumming, GA 2016) was the hot hitter for the Team Elite Alpharetta. He went 1-3 for the game with scoring one run.

Austin Boudreaux (Centennial, Frisco, TX 2016) put together a nice outing. Team Elite Alpharetta manged just three hits off of Boudreaux. He allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his three innings of work. Caston McDonald had a short outing, lasting only two innings on the bump for Team Elite Alpharetta before being taken out of the game. He allowed four hits and five runs. McDonald fastball range for the game was 78-80 mph. Boudreaux fastball range for the game was 80-83 mph.

Team Elite Louisville Slugger scored five runs in the first inning, and never trailed in an 8-0 victory over SBO Puerto Rico Red on Saturday in Fort Myers.

Five different players drove in a run for Louisville Slugger, with Mitchell Golden (2016, Marietta HS, GA) leading the way with two hits, a run scored, and a run batted in. Brandon Marsh (2016, Buford HS, GA) scored two runs with one hit, and six other players scored one run in the victory. Marsh and Denilson Elligson (2016, Graceville HS, FL) added doubles.

Connor Holman (2016, Brookwood HS, GA) earned the win for Louisville Slugger, striking out five hitters and allowing just one hit over three innings. Marsh tossed two hitless. scoreless innings, and Elligson fired a perfect frame. Holman’s fastball topped out at 82 mph, Marsh’s peaked at 83 mph, and Elligson reached 87 mph.

The lone hit for SBO was a single from Rey L. Torres (2016, Caguas Military Academy, PR).

Early lead gives Florida Burn Navy easy victory over the Connecticut Vipers, 12-5 victory. Eight runs in the first three innings allowed Florida Burn Navy to put the game away early. Jonathen Burkett (Lake Mary, Sanford, FL 2016) racked up three RBIs on three hits for Florida Burn Navy. He went 3-3 for the game and scored one run. Cameron Allen (Stonington, Pawcatuck, CT 2016) was the hot hitter for the Connecticut Vipers. He went 1-2 for the game with scoring one run.

Tanner Fults (Home School, Lakewood, Ranch, FL 2016) got the win for Florida Burn Navy. He tossed two shutout inning with striking out four, walked one and surrendered one hit. Ethan Kruger (Norwich Free Academy, Lisbon, CT 2015) had a short outing, lasting only one-third of an inning on the mound for the Connecticut Vipers before being taken out of the game. Ethan surrendered two hits and seven runs.
