BP Highlights

Lowen Benbow (2030 C, El Cajon, CA) was on-barrel with an all-fields approach during his round. Flashed quality impact and strength for his level especially when he caught it out front.

Logan Mariscal (2030 3B, Fontana, CA) put together one of the more impressive rounds of this group. Connected LH stroke with feel for the barrel where it came off hard. 

 

Devin Hernandez (2030 2B, Brentwood, CA) showed flashes of quality bat speed within a level path. Worked his contact into both gaps where it came off with some jump.

 

Drew Shelton (2030 OF, San Diego, CA) produced a ton of hard contact to the pull side. Real loose with the hands with some whip to the barrel. Present impact with a ton of physical projection. 

 

Krish Chawla (2030 LHP, Rancho Cucamonga, CA) showed loose hands that turn a tight barrel through the zone. Some early exit to the path but was on-barrel a whole lot. Good amount of hard top spun contact to the pull side. 

 

Kaden Kim (2030 OF, Pasadena, CA) was on-barrel a majority of his round. Tight hands that stay inside it on a direct path that works the barrel at flatter angles. Produced several hard LDs through the LC gap. 

 

Joshua Ng (2031 SS, Irvine, CA) showed quality barrel accuracy. Loose hands work the barrel flat through showing a strong top hand. 

 

Noah Torres (2030 RHP, Claremont, CA) had a ton of hard top spun contact to the pull side during his round along with  some hard LDs through the middle. Flashes of above avg. bat speed for. his level. Creates good leverage in the swing. 

 

Anthony De La Garza (2030 3B, Murrieta, CA) was on-barrel a majority of his round. Longer stroke on a flatter path through. A bit too uphill at times but showed flashes of quality bat speed and impact. 

 

Josiah McCullough (2030 SS, Rancho Cucamonga, CA) produced some quality backspun contact throughout the round. Balanced stroke with direct hands with consistent out front contact points. 

 

Carter Cancelleri (2030 SS, San Clemente, CA) showed a tight uphill turn. Balanced with an accurate barrel. Developing strength but got to good angles.

 

Evan Lucero (2030 3B, Huntington Beach, CA) showed a strong top hand, working the barrel direct and producing hard LD contact through the middle of the field. Balanced throughout with decent quickness/strength.

 

Matthew Romero (2030 RHP, Santa Ana, CA) was turning the barrel hard on a flatter path while staying behind a firm front side. Produced a ton of hard PS contact showing quality strength and bat speed. 

 

Asher Cox (2030 C, Murrieta, CA) got to some consistent out front lift during his round. On-barrel a whole lot with strength producing quality exits for his level with still a ton of projection.

 

Andres Montemayor (2030 1B, San Diego, CA) showed flashes of quality bat speed and impact during his round. Most of his hard contact came to the pull side where his barrel worked down and through it. 

 

Andrew Praw (2030 3B, Los Angeles, CA) produced hard low liners through the middle and pull side. Real loose turns working the barrel flat at contact with developing bat speed and strengh.


8-Gold vs 6-Black Game Highlights

Landon Geissman (2030 C, Rancho Santa Margarita, CA) got 8-Gold on the board with an RBI double.  Flashed some whip in the barrel while swinging with intent to do some damage.  

Carter Cancelleri (2030 SS, San Clemente, CA) followed up a solid round of batting practice with some quality in-game plate appearances.  Drove in a pair in the 3rd for 8-Gold to break up a 1-1 tie.  

Kameron Berry (2030 SS, Chula Vista, CA) did a job in the 3rd with a runner on third, going to the backside to score 6-Black 2nd run of the game to cut the deficit to 3-2.

Evan Lucero (2030 3B, Huntington Beach, CA) impressed out of the bullpen for 8-Gold, working a pair of innings without allowing a hit and struck out two. Fastball was up to 80 coupled with a mid-60's breaker that had 12-6 shape and depth.  Strong outing for the right hander.  

Lowen Benbow (2030 C, El Cajon, CA) worked two scoreless out of the bullpen and struck out a pair.  Clean outing for the right hander, running the fastball up to 72 with a low 60's breaker that kept hitters off balance.  

7-Columbia Blue vs 8-Gold Game Highlights

Matthew Romero (2030 RHP, Santa Ana, CA) showed some two-way intrigue after his start on the mound.  Three innings of work allowing three hits, no runs and struck out five.  Fastball was up to 78 with a low 60's breaker.  Threw out of a low slot showing solid run with the fastball.  Hammered a double in one of his plate appearances for one of the louder barrels of the day.

Krish Chawla (2030 LHP, Rancho Cucamonga, CA) got the start for Columbia Blue working three innings allowing three hits, one unearned and struck out three.  Fastball was up to 75 and mixed in a low 60's breaker.  Clean operation with feel for the zone.  

Adan Castro (2030 OF, Ontario, CA) Showed off a sweet stroke from the left side to split the gap in right center.  Athletic in the box with feel for the barrel and controls it well.

Anthony De La Garza (2030 3B, Murrieta, CA) hammered a ball into the gap in one plate appearance for extra bases.  Intent in the swing with feel for the barrel. Threw a pair of innings out of the bullpen to keep 8-Gold at bay and not allowing a run and struck out two.

Kaden Kim (2030 OF, Pasadena, CA) collected his second hit of the day, working to the back side.  Full plate coverage with all fields capabilities.

6-Black vs 7-Columbia Blue Game Highlights

Connor Lawlor (2030 RHP, Rancho Santa Margarita, CA) Got the start for 6-Black and was dominant through three-innings, allowing two-hits and struck out six.  Fastball was up to 80 and mixed in a breaking ball and changeup to keep hitters off balance.

Devin Hernandez (2030 2B, Brentwood, CA) had a pair of hits including a double and drove in a run.  Big start to the weekend for the left-handed hitter.  Showed plate awareness and controlled the barrel well, working the entire field.

Christian Vasquez (2030 LHP, Menifee, CA) had a loud first game at the plate, collecting a pair of extra base hits (double, triple) and drove in three for Black.  Showed a quick barrel on the triple to the wall in center and went shopping in the gap for the double.  

Kaden Kim (2030 OF, Pasadena, CA) had one of the louder barrels of the game when he went to the left center gap for a triple for Columbia Blue.  Quiet hands and intent in the swing with all-fields strength.

Lowen Benbow (2030 C, El Cajon, CA) caught a barrel and drove in a run for 6-Black.  Hit it a mile high to the wall in left center for a standup double. Strength in the swing and an aggressive approach.
