Batting Practice Highlights

2/16/2025

Carter Middleton (2029 MIF, Langley, BC) The big left-hander was on the screws throughout his round of batting practice.  Strength throughout the frame with present gap juice.  Pull side approach, living on the barrel with more power coming down the line.

Jeremiah Hafner (2029 1B, Redmond, WA) Had one of the louder rounds of batting practice at the PG 2025 Northwest Indoor Gateway.  The left-hander has a compact swing with big time bat speed.  On the barrel consistently with gap to gap juice.  Pull side power with an all-fields approach.

Jacksen Dunn (2029 C, Sandy, OR) Strength throughout the frame with feel for the barrel, Jacksen had a standout BP and continued to hit against live action.  Solid extension and quick through the zone with advanced bat to ball skills.

Kayden Lucas (2030 SS, Allyn, WA) One of the more pure swings that you will see.  Creates leverage with pull side pop.  Consistently on the barrel with strength to the pull side.   Caught a few barrels in game action as well.  Good feel with athleticism in the box.  

Beck Robertson (2029 C, Redmond, WA) Was dialed in during his round of BP at the Northwest Gateway.  Solid bat to ball skills with a compact to contact approach.  Simple swing with present bat speed and an all-fields approach.  

Dylan Gregory (2029 SS, Roseburg, OR) Impressive round of BP at the Northwest Indoor Gateway.  Quick to the ball with good lower half usage and an up the middle approach.  Solid bat to ball skills with present strength and the ability to drive it to all fields.  

Christian Korba (2029 3B, Roseburg, OR) Advanced strength with feel for the barrel.  Solid bat to ball skill, staying connected and generating from the lower half.  Loud barrels with gap to gap juice. Strong round of BP with the top exit velocity at the 2025 Northwest Gateway.

Ryder Cate (2029 RHP, Puyallup, WA) Good rhythm and athletic in the box.  Quick to the ball with an up the middle approach.  Strong at the point of contact with gap juice.  Strong feel for the barrel.  Excellent round of BP at the 2025 Northwest Gateway.   

Jackson Birrell (2029 3B/RHP, Snonohomish, WA) Showed good feel for the barrel and athleticism in the box.  Confident left-handed stroke with barrel control.  Swings with intent and has present impact.  Solid round of BP at the Northwest Gateway.   

Mason Blas (2030 C, Port Orchard, WA) Solid round of BP at the Northwest Gateway.  Quick to the ball with plenty of strength that projects.  On the barrel with consistency and more exit velocity to come down the line.  

 

6-Red vs 4-Black Game Highlights

2/16/2025

Tiernan Barron (2030 C, West Linn, OR) Got the 6-Red bats going early on, going inside out and lining a base knock to the backside.  Swings with intent and caught a loud barrel.  

Kenny Coleman (2030 RHP, Maple Valley, WA) Just keeps on hitting.  Smoked line drive right back up the middle.  Full barrel, staying on a line and swinging with intent.  

Graham Bugbee (2030 3B, Seattle, WA) Came out of the bullpen for 4-Black on a mission.  Fastball sat 72-73, landing it efficiently.  Breaking ball kept hitters off balance throughout.  Strong outing for the right-hander.  

Beck Robertson (2029 C, Redmond, WA) Did a heck of a job for 4-Black behind the dish, handling multiple different arms.  Good mover back there and called an excellent game.  

Jeremiah Hafner (2029 1B, Redmond, WA) Had one of the harder hits of the day for 4-Black, barreling a ball that would have found a gap.  Guessed fastball and got it and drove it.  

Jacksen Dunn (2029 C, Sandy, OR) Continues to hit, catching a barrel to the pull side.  Excellent extension and drive, using the lower half and staying connected.  

Carter Middleton (2029 MIF, Langley, BC) Came out of the bullpen for 6-Red and impressed.  FB sat in the upper 60's, coupled with an advanced changeup that had hitters guessing throughout the outing.  

5-Purple vs 6-Red Game Highlights

2/16/2025

Kayden Lucas (2030 SS, Allyn, WA) Got the bats going early for team Purple with a backside base knock.  Excellent barrel control to stay back and drive it on a line.  Added another hit to the pull side later in the game.  

Kenny Coleman (2030 RHP, Maple Valley, WA) Got the start on the mound for 6-Red and did not disappoint.  Quick worker, staying around the zone with a fastball that sat 70-71 and breaking ball that was in the low 60's.  

Jackson Birrell (2029 IF, Snohomish, WA) Had it working on the mound for 6- Red.  Threw his whole mix for strikes, picking up multiple punch outs.  Fastball sat 70-71 throughout.  Slider showed some solid sweep.  

Ben Borden (2030 SS, Seattle, WA) Got 6-Red bats going with a base knock to the pull side.  Solid extension staying on a level path and lining a ball over a would be shortstop.  

Mason Blas (2030 C, Port Orchard, WA) Had some solid at-bats, getting beaned twice and making solid contact after.  Quick to the ball with feel for the barrel.  

Aaron Becker (2029 OF, Bonney Lake, WA) Got involved with the offense for 6-Red later in the game.  Stayed back and drove a backside shot early in the count.  Great job having a plan and staying aggressive at the plate.  

4-Black vs 5-Purple Game Highlights

2/16/2025

Ryder Cate (2029 RHP, Puyallup, WA) Got the start for Purple on the mound.  Fastball was up to 74, sitting 72-73.  Breaking ball showed solid spin and he located everything effectively.  

Sean Yueh (2029 SS, Portland, OR) Had a barrel for team black that went back up the middle.  Solid bat to ball with a compact stroke.

Kayden Lucas (2030 SS, Allyn, WA) Impressed on the mound during his short outing.  Fastball was up to 78 and sat 76-77 throughout with solid arm side run.  Breaking ball had 10-4 shape with depth.  

Kodiak Haggard (2029 OF, Ashland, OR) Barreled up a ball to the pull side for team Black.  Balanced stroke and swings with impact.  Went shopping in the gap. 

Jacksen Dunn (2029 C, Sandy, OR) Had one of the louder barrels of the day for team Black, smoking a fastball back up the middle.  Strong, smooth, athletic swing.  

Beck Robertson (2029 C, Redmond, WA) Had a hard shot back up the middle for team black.  Good piece of hitting, staying compact to contact with a level bat path for the base knock.  

Luke Plyler (2029 1B, Bonney Lake, WA) Was impressive in his short outing on the mound.  Balanced, repeatable delivery and landed everything for strikes for team Purple.  Feel for the whole mix and landed in all-four quadrants.
