Tanner DeStefano (2028 SS, Irwin, PA) was on the barrel all game long but most notably, he sat on a two-strike breaking ball early on and lined it to center field for a base hit. The 5-foot-11 right-handed hitter has intriguing strength in his hands with some power potential. He showcased his ability to read and make adjustments to spin. DeStefano also flashed the leather in the field, making a diving play to his left at shortstop.
Brad Bucci (2028 SS, Venetia, PA) was productive on both sides of the ball. Early on, he barreled up a fastball late in the count and lined it right back up the middle for a base hit. The left-handed hitter has a good feel for the barrel and controls it well throughout the strike zone. On the mound, Bucci put together a dominant relief inning as he ran his fastball up to 80 mph. The 5-foot-9 right-hander also landed a slurvy breaking ball for strikes and manipulated shape with it.
Austin Ellis (2028 SS, Pittsburgh, PA) stepped onto the mound and pitched with confidence during his long inning of work. The 5-foot-11 right-hander wears a long, lean athletic frame with tons of upside. He moved his fastball around the zone effectively, topping it out at 78 mph. The heater showed intriguing spin metrics and was paired with an 11-5 breaking ball—both of which were successful at inducing swings and misses. Ellis also found the barrel on multiple occasions at the plate, showcasing his ability to create leverage and backspin to both gaps.
Jack Sekelik (2028 SS, Oakdale, PA) timed up a pair of fastballs, driving one up the middle early on and another through the right-side for base hits. The lefty batter showcased his feel for the barrel along with the ability to adjust it effectively throughout the strike zone. He also has some present quickness in the hips and hands.
Austin Fritz (2028 RHP, Wexford, PA) opened up live action on the mound and tossed a quick, efficient inning. The 5-foot-8 right-hander went right after hitters with his fastball, filling up all four quadrants while topping it out at 74 mph. He utilizes a repeatable, low-effort operation with athletic movements down the slope. Fritz also mixed in a 12-6 curveball with a developing spin portfolio that kept hitters off-balance.
Yadian Oliveras (2028 SS, Berea, OH) showed off his bat-to-ball skills by lining a fastball through the right-side for an opposite field single. The 5-foot-6 right-handed batter takes a mature approach at the plate and has the ability to work the entire diamond.
Connor David (2028 2B, New Eagle, PA) was all over a fastball as he lined it right back up the middle for a single. The 5-foot-8 left-handed batter showed off his barrel skills and adjustability at the plate, driving a heater right back where it came from.
Eli Kurta (2028 OF, West Mifflin, PA) jumped on a fastball and lined it through the left-side for a single. The 5-foot-8 right-handed hitter showcased the ability to manipulate the barrel and create extension throughout the strike zone.
