Austin Fritz is a 2028 RHP/2B/SS with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Wexford, PA who attends Sewickley Academy. Smaller lean build. Works from a compact delivery with a belt high leg raise and drop and drive lower half mechanics down the mound, 3/4's arm slot. Fastball sat in the low 70's and topped out at 73 mph and was mostly straight. Also mixed in a soft curveball and straight change up and was around the zone with all his pitches. 7.25 runner in the sixty. Secondary middle infielder on defense, works low to the ground and gets his glove down on time, step by step lateral actions, compact arm action with second base arm strength. Right handed hitter, sets up in a straight stance with a simple leg raise timer, rotational upper body swing, was well timed and got the barrel out front on time with pull side line drive contact, bat speed will continue to improve with additional strength. Excellent strength.
