FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PERFECT GAME INTRODUCES NEW

EVENT CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM

Sanford, Florida (Thursday, October 1, 2026) - Perfect Game, the world’s largest youth baseball and softball platform and scouting service, today announced a reorganization of its events into five distinct classes in order to provide more clarity to families and teams across the country. PG’s event offerings – from onsite experience to DiamondKast to social media coverage – will evolve based on each event class.

The five event classes are: Flagship, Premier, Signature, Classic and All-Star. All include both team and individual events except for All-Star, which are invitation-only individual events that operate at a Flagship level.

The new structure streamlines the PG event calendar and makes it easier for players, parents, coaches, organizations and scouts to understand what each event offers. It also gives everyone in the PG ecosystem a clearer connection to the Perfect Game brand, from a team's first local tournament to the biggest stages in amateur baseball.

“Our goal with our new Event Classes is to make it easier for players, parents, coaches and partners to understand the differences between the thousands of events we host each year,” said Kash Shaikh, Chief Marketing Officer and Head of International for Perfect Game. “We know that clarity and value are very important to parents as they make decisions on how to invest in their child’s development and we truly believe this new system will help.”

The new classes take effect this Fall, with all events classified by January 1.

The Five Classes:

Flagship – Flagship events set the standard for the industry. They bring together the top travel ball teams and organizations in the country for elite competition, top-ranked players and deep evaluation from college and professional scouts. Performances at Flagship events carry the greatest weight in PG team and player rankings, as well as a player's recruiting profile.

Premier – One rung below Flagship, Premier events are the proving grounds for national contenders. Top programs from across the country face tough brackets with scouts on hand, and strong performances here move team and player rankings.

Signature – Signature events are state and regional competitions where teams hone their skills against emerging competition. Teams start to earn higher rankings and qualify for the national stage while mostly playing closer to home.

Classic – Classic events are where the PG pathway starts. These local events give teams a stronger stage to compete and develop without the travel, and every player is integrated into PG's scouting platform from day one.

All-Star – All-Star events are invitation-only showcases for the top individual players in the country, selected by PG scouts through Showcases and other event formats. Like Flagship events, All-Star events provide a big stage with full scouting coverage.

"Perfect Game events have always been about giving players a stage and giving scouts a clear look at them," said Perfect Game CEO Rob Ponger. "These five classes make it simple for every family, coach and organization to know exactly what an event offers and where it fits on their path. They will also enable more kids to participate in our platform and have the spotlight shine on them. Whether a team is playing its first Classic event down the road or competing at a Flagship event against the best in the country, they're part of the same Perfect Game pathway."

For teams, the classes offer a clear progression: start locally in Classic events, build rankings and qualify through Signature events and compete for national standing at Premier and Flagship events. For players and parents, each class signals the level of competition and scouting coverage to expect. For college and professional scouts, the structure makes it easier to target the events that best fit their evaluation needs.
