Tatem Telfer is a 2025 LHP/1B, OF with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Hedrick, IA who attends Mid-Prairie. He has a big frame with a thick, athletic build and present strength. Ran the 40-Yard Dash in 5.28 seconds. Primary left-handed pitcher that uses a side step to start his delivery and features a knee to chest leg kick. He is aggressive in pushing down the mound and lands on line with the plate. He fires with a long arm action and delivers from a high 3/4 slot. His shoulder is loose and he is able to generate nice hand speed at release, giving his pitches life through the zone. He attacks hitters with his fastball that he showed excellent command over. His curveball has sharp, 1/7 shape with nice depth late in the zone. His slider has shorter horizontal movement and there is a clear differentiation between it and the curveball. His changeup showed good fade. Left-handed hitter that starts in an even base with flex in his knees. He has a low back elbow and uses a simple stride for timing. He is aggressive in his swing and looks to do damage to the pull side of the field. He has fast hands through the zone and is able to generate nice power with his strength. Very good student. Named to the 2024 Iowa Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
