Alexander Ochranek is a 2027 C/RHP/3B with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Southlake, TX who attends Keller. Medium athletic build with some present strength and more to come. Right handed hitter, sets up in a balanced stance with a still hand load, swings hard and clears his hips well, has present bat speed and impacts the ball hard to the pull side, uphill swing path looking to launch, has the strength to continue to develop as a hitter. 7.16 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, sets up one knee down receiving, tends to stand straight up coming out of his crouch, developing footwork, made accurate throws with some arm strength, more arm strength there with fundamental improvement. Also worked out in the infield, arm strength was his best tool on the dirt, segmented actions to the ball and getting his glove down. Took a turn on the mound, worked from the stretch with a quick high leg coil, has some deception and hides the ball well, mid 3/4's arm slot. Fastball topped out at 82 mph and got on hitters quickly, mostly straight. Slider showed some two-plane tilt. Excellent student. Named to the PG Lone Star Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
