Camden Walton is a 2026 SS/RHP/C with a 5-8 145 lb. frame from Raleigh, NC who attends Garner Magnet. Medium current frame with lean musculature and plenty of projection ahead of him. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.59 seconds. Primary position IF, with methodical footwork going through his reps and creating angles. Reaching for the ball a bit but securing the ball with deep funnel into midline transfer. Creating momentum through his throws that reached 75 mph across the diamond. Showed his best mechanics on the slow roller play handled quite well. Reps from the OF as well, getting to the ball in good shape and squaring well for throws with accuracy at 75 mph here too. Secondary position C, sitting deep in his legs with good flexibility and deliberate midline transfer from solid glove work. Gains some ground with his footwork. Shorter, slightly segmented to arm action and registered a pop-time best 2.31 seconds. RHH with a neutral start with a good handset at the shoulders to begin mechanics. Creates some length in front arm on trigger and uses rotational operation to get the bat head to contact. Pull oriented approach. Hands create good swing plane and when on time launched some nice line drives gap to gap. Good foundation for long term offensive production. Outstanding student as well.
