Travail Barnes is a 2026 2B/RHP/SS with a 5-9 151 lb. frame from Thomasville, NC who attends Thomasville. Medium athletic build with some present strength and room for more. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight stance with a good lower half load, hits from the ground up, full extended swing with good looseness out front, has strength in his hands and gets some young jump off the barrel, projects well as a hitter. 8.00 runner in the sixty. Primary second baseman on defense, has an easy low slot release that plays well at that position, makes accurate throws, still developing footwork and confidence through the ball, can bend his knees and work his lower half behind the ball more consistently. Took a turn on the mound, has a higher arm slot on the mound with a long arm slot in back, limited lower half drive down the mound. Low 70's fastball topped out at 73 mph, mostly straight, threw lots of fastball strikes, primary fastball pitcher who also threw an occasional soft curveball. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
