Matthew Defranza is a 2026 C/MIF with a 5-1 105 lb. frame from Hicksville, NY who attends Hicksville. Defranza posted a 8.30 60 yard dash time out of a young frame with additional room to grow. From behind the plate, he displayed a short compact arm motion with sound mechanics. As Defranza matures, velocity on his throws will continue to increase. Offensively, he started with an inverted front leg with a short simple stride. Showcasing quiet hands and good extension, Defranza was able to piece together some solid contact at the plate.
