2025 PG 13U National Showcase
Brandon Sweeney is a 2030 SS/OF with a 5-11 160 lb. frame from Atherton, CA. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs, lean build with room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.53 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, smooth and fluid actions with lateral range, some bend at the waist with soft hands out front, funnels cleanly into a lower slot, played under control and shows ability to change slot at needed; accurate throws on to first base. Right-handed hitter, begins with a wide base and an open stance with a high hand set and back elbow, utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing in the box. Handsy swing and does a nice job of working on a linear plane, line drive contact coming off when extended out front. Will continue to unlock more strength with additional lower half implemented. Named to the 2025 13u Select Festival.
