2025 PG High School All State Select Championship (26-27 Grads)
Alejandro Padilla is a 2026 C/1B/3B with a 6-2 205 lb. frame from Cypress, TX who attends UT High School. Big and strong build, pretty mature physically. Right handed hitter, sets up in a medium base with high hands and a high leg raise trigger, was well timed and got the barrel out front on time consistently, showed lots of juice to the gaps, heavy barrel that impacts the ball. 7.31 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, sets up one knee down, comes out of his crouch well and gains ground well into his throws, high and compact transfers, repeated his actions and made accurate throws. Also worked out in the infield, moved well side to side for his size, tended to get his glove down late, made accurate throws. Took a turn on the mound, works out of the stretch from the third base side of the rubber, belt high leg raise to a high 3/4's arm slot, tends to open his front side early coming down the mound. Fastball was mostly in the upper 70's and topped out at 81 mph with some run and sink at times and cutting action at others. Tended to slow his arm on his curveball, also flashed a change up. Good student. Named to the PG High School All-State Select Championships Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
