Michael Wedgeworth is a 2030 C/RHP/3B with a 5-9 170 lb. frame from Flomaton, AL who attends Flomaton. Medium frame with a sturdy build, present strength and time to continue to refine physicality. Primary position catcher, showing nice flexibility and dexterity with his primary stance. Receives the ball out front with clean glove work into a midline transfer. Could gain a bit of ground but replaces feet inline to target with standard arm path. Better feeds as he went with throws up to 70 mph and a pop-time best 2.02 seconds. Reps on the infield as well, moving deliberately through his angles and showing solid range. Short arm path here with feeds up to 80 mph across. Secondary RHP, featuring a 4-pitch mix accelerating through a 3/4 arm angle and repeating a clean delivery. Working fast and attacking hitters in the zone with a heater that peaked at 81 mph and backed up with a sweeping slider in the mid-60s that he lands confidently. Changeup is a quality offering as well with fading deception generating swing and miss. RHH starting from a medium slightly open stance with a higher handset and high back elbow. Loads well with medium leg lift and generates good bat speed already with pull oriented approach. Some timing concerns here and there but when on time the ball jumped off the barrel. Intriguing skillset across the board.
